Geat Read
Ms. Seeton adventures are the best reads that I have come across. I am a thirty something that loves these types of British sleuthing novels. I re-read these novels several times a year, I have them all. My favorite used bookstore in Los Angeles had the entire series out of out-of-print ones, so I stocked up on all of them at once. They were over with too quickly. .... Maybe I should have waited and only gotten one book a month!!

They are truly one of a kind. I love the time period and the many scrapes that she seems to fall into. They're truly hilarious, while the novels maintain the suspense. I love Britain and try to get to London and environs once every couple of years or so.

Miss Seaton Does it again
I love the Ms. Seeton Mysteries. This book is so good that I find myself re-reading it a couple of times a year. I know how it ends, there is no "mystery" there. I re-read them becasue of the truly funny, quirky village life scape that is brought to life. Everyone from the shopkeepers, the hostler to the village busybodies, the "Nuts" is just to funny! In this book Ms. Seaton is kindanpped along with a British royal princess, saves the princess in only a way that the unsinkbale Miss Seeton can manage, then is saved by the fiesty princess!

Hilarious as always! A funnier version of Miss Marple.
This book is one of the many stories I have read by Heron Carvic! His style is unique and his characters are well...excellent, they foil each other very well. My next favourite character is Bob Ranger who stumbles about trying desparately to protect Miss Seeton but never quite makes it until the very last moment. The one scene that sticks out in my mind occurs during the final dance act at the end of the book where Miss Seeton ends up in the spotlight instead of the dead body and the audience loves it! The French production crew love it too and use it for the rest of their season. Moments such as that are Classic Carvic!

I have to admit that I read this book a few years ago and I can't comment too much on the content, but I absolutely adore the Miss Seeton series and I am disappointed to learn that they are not being printed any more. If I had enough money, I would buy the whole series, even in hardback, but I'll just have to keep looking around in charity shops and used book stores.

If I read this book enough
What made me enjoy this Miss Seton so much was the description of the cricket! I could actually follow the game, um, match!

A good addition to the series
The indomitable Miss Seeton escorts several local children from her English village of Plummergen across the channel to conduct a one day tour of WW II battle sites and a local art museum. While in France, Miss Seeton meets an attractive widower, Count Jean-Louis de Balivernes before returning home. Romance seems to be in the air when the Frenchman visits Miss Seeton in her quaint village.

However, the Count's idyllic English visits is disrupted by the discovery of a corpse in the kitchen of one of the eccentric but colorful townsfolk. Amateur detective Miss Seeton, sketch pad and umbrella in hand, begins to investigate the case.

BONJOUR MISS SEETON is an interesting English cozy due to the depth of all the characters. In her latest appearance, Miss Seeton remains the classic stereotype senior citizen cum amateur sleuth that make up this sub-genre. Regardless of whom writes as Hamilton Crane, this remains one of the top who-done-it series on the market today.

The surreal Miss Seeton
The blurb on the book jacket calls her a "lovable female dabbler" and compares her to Miss Marple. It doesn't mention that she's psychic. Miss Seeton is a retired art teacher whose modus operandi is to draw sketches for the police which turn out to mysteriously contain clues to a crime that's been committed (or will be committed.)

In this, the second Miss Seeton novel, our hero keeps trying to sketch a portrait of a local girl as a gift for her mother. Imagine her dismay when, no matter what she does, the drawing looks like a corpse. Miss Seeton thinks that she might have had a stroke, but the police think that she just might have a clue to a string of child murders that have been plaguing the area...

Wodehouse and Christie meet
Heron Carvic starts off his Miss Seeton series with this delightful romp through England. Miss Seeton is sort of a Marple type, with a tad more zing thrown in. She manages to foil (by mistake) all attempts on her life, capture the bad guys, and and up with a nurse and a detective sergeant happily in love. A lot of fun, though the plot can be a bit weak at points.

Introducing Miss Seeton
This the first book in the Miss Seeton series, introduces a number of characters that appear in later books. The book starts when Miss Seeton, an art teacher is in the process of retiring to the country. An night at the opera Carmen, sees her stumbling into a similar situation on the way home. Thus we meet Bob Ranger and Inspector Delphic of Scotland Yard, who speak to her about the crime she witnessed. This scene is pure comedy and I laugh whenever I read it, I pity poor Bob Ranger taking notes. Miss Seeton as she describes herself is a logical person, and she can't understand her strange (psychic) drawings or why the people around her find her actions remarkable. This book while being a crime mystery, is also a lovely comic romp through the eccentric characters of the English countryside. I throughly recommend this book to anyone who has enjoys crime, light comedy and romance.
