An Important Note on this book
I mean by 'three star' not its content, but design. Anyone considering to buy this book (esp. looking over catalog by online or offline) should note that this does not contain any new contents in comparable with 'Does God Exist?'(1978) Part C-3, which is practically identical with the main body. What's new in material is only his speech "Religion: Final Taboo?" delivered on the occasion of the acceptance of 'the Osacr Pfister Prize'(1986: = pp.123-161 in this volume - less than 40 pages!), which is very doubtful if there is any significant change of viewpoint on the subject in it. I strongly urge you should avoid this book if you already have 'Does God Exist?' except you want to collect the author's archives as many as possible. Of Course, *Good choice* to those who are interested only in the subject of 'Freud's view of religion' and its criticism from Christianity itself.
Balanced and friendly critique of Freud
Hans Kung, a Catholic theologian, pays a tribute to Freud and his groundbreaking discoveries, such as theories of libido and human unconscious. But he questions the popular view that Freud was an atheist and did not have a place for religious ideas in the scientific movement that he originated - psychoanalysis. He fights Freud's views of religion as a complex that needs to be treated. Moreover, he argues that although Freud seems outwardly an atheist, but nevertheless his negative experiences with religion, however much they discredit for him Christianity, need not have shaken Freud's Jewish faith in God. This is good and balanced work. A must read for everyone interested in Freudian psychoanalysis, Jungian psychology and spirituality.

Gazsi's illustrations are colored in rich jewel tones. His children appear to be drawn from photographs, and look almost like paper dolls, while his other creatures are fanciful flights of imagination.
The book is written in script form, with portions of the musical score included. An address is given to send off for a complete score and playbook, for those who want to produce the pageant.
