School House Rock!: The Official Guide
I rate this book 5 stars. The title of my review is School House Rock: The Official Guide by Tom Yohe and George Newall. I like this book because it is a great book and I like School House Rock and it's still my favorite show. This book is great. I like this book because it reminds me of School House Rock.

A chip off the block!
If you grew up in the 70's and 80's and were anywhere near Saturday morning cartoons, then you know Schoolhouse Rock. Many of us learned our times tables because of them. I can remember at least twice when the catchy songs about American History were caught in my head and helped me answer test questions. The lyrics may have been replaced by other facts, but I'm sure that the songs are stuck in your head somewhere. This book is a great companion to bring so much of it back with lyrics, pictures and trivia about all the episodes. It will bridge things until the DVD is released. All in all a ton of fun. Pull out the book, sing along and relive those cereal laden mornings in front of the TV. Oh yea!

Cool- also check out Scripture Rock if you like the Bible
This is cool- also if you're like me you might like Scripture Rock.

Statistics for Experimenters: An Introduction to Design, Data Analysis, and Model Building

Immediate usability in practice.
This is an excellently written book with clear examples of how to apply statistics to everyday experimental settings. Box delves deep enough into the underlying theory to give an engineer such as myself an appreciation for the "reality" of the mathematics, but sticks to concrete examples and putting theory into practice. Each chapter follows the previous one, but each is also reasonably self-contained. Terminology is easily clarified with a quick use of the comprehensive index.

Additionally, don't let the print date fool you... the book is timely.

classic but unconventional and practical book on design
This book was published in 1978 but as other reviewers have noted its practical methods and advice are timeless. George Box and Stu Hunter are both very famous statisticians who are also great teachers and lecturers. Bill Hunter is now deceased. All three authors have made major contributions to the design of experiments. The book is written for practitioners and in the simplest language possible. Emphasis is placed on practical designs and not optimal designs because optimal designs are very sensitive to model specification.

It does not include the robust designs of Taguchi which came later and could easily be included if the authors choose to revise it.

Still the "Bible" of practical design of experiments.
More than twenty years after its publication, this seminal work is still the undisputable "Bible" for users of statistical experimental design. The practical insights sprinkled throughout this book are invaluable especially to non-mathematical statisticians. This book will never be out-of-date!

The Best Book I Ever Read !!!!!!!!!!!!

My farviote character was Tucker a very nice and smart This is a great book it got me to read all the other books in this series and I never read. You won't be disapointed!!!!!!!!!!

Tucker's Countryside
I wanted to read this book because the book I read before Tucker's Countryside was the Cricket in Time Square. This book is the sequel to the Cricket in Time Square. When I read that there was a sequel to the Cricket in Time Square I looked for it in my bookcase to see if I had it. When I found it I began to read the back of the book and it seemed interesting to me.

The book was about a bird named Robin took Tucker mouse and Harry cat to Connecticut where their old friend Chester cricket lived. They found each other and Chester showed them around the countryside. They found out that his home was going to be destroyed by the bulldosers to make room for the new homes. The towns people won't have a place to play either. Now it is up to Tucker mouse and Harry cat to save the land.

My favorite part of the book was when Harry cat found this girl that would take care of him. This part is my favorite because the girl reminds me of myself because I have five cats and three of them are strays. Harry cat was going to stay at the little girl's house, but he decided to go back to Time Square with Tucker mouse towards the end of the book.

A must for Leelanau lovers and postcard collectors alike
This superb collection of views from Leelanau County is a delight for anyone who has spent summers in northern Michigan. It's rich with hundreds of beautifully reproduced real photo postcards, supplemented with maps, early tourist ads, and an informative text constructed from Byron's and Wilson's research and excerpts from travel literature.

"Vintage Views" is a must for Leelanau County lovers and postcard collectors alike. You'll spend many enjoyable hours with this book, traveling from the comfort of your favorite chair.

Spectacular Journey
Everything about VINTAGE VIEWS OF LEELANAU COUNTY is a spectacular journey. Anyone with a nostalgic bone in their body must view this book? For me, it "conjured" up so many memories of vacations to resorts where being with family and enjoying the area was the "why" you were on the trip.

Absolutely Wonderful
This is an absolutely wonderful book about Leelanau County history, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and northern Michigan tourism of days gone by. It's a must have if you vacation up north and would make a very memorable gift for those who visit that area. I highly recommend it. I wish a book like this existed for the entire west side of Michigan.

What a Wonderful World

What a wonderful book!
This is a fantastic book! My six and three year old children are already on their second copy - we wore out the first! Both of my daughters love to read it - actually sing it - over, and over, and over. They're fascinated by the pictures as well.

Of course, once they learned to sing the song, it was so easy to introduce them to the music of Louis Armstrong. This book was the perfect bridge. Now my six year old asks me to play "Lewis" for her when we're in the car.

Ultimately soothing
I first saw this book being read/sung to the children in my preschooler's class. I purchased the book for my son and to my amazement,my 1 year old LOVED it as well. The illustrations are bright and captures my baby's attention, he'll sit and "read" the book for minutes! Now, whenever my kids are starting to "meltdown" all I have to do is start singing the song and they both immediately search out this book!

What a Wonderful World
The lyrics to the song, "What a Wonderful World" by David Weiss and Bob Thiele come to life as Ashley Bryan imagines a wonderful world and creates this image in the form of a puppet show. Through the puppet show and the bright colorful illustrations the young audience is captured and can easily relate. It is a great book for young children! It is a book of hope for children and the world!

Note to teachers: This book is great for teaching diversity. Use the book and set it to the music of Louis Armstrong. The children will love it and adults will be moved. Let your children create props for their own puppet show or let children illustrate the book and put together for a class book. Then use Louis Armstrong's music again with the children's class book.

Extremely Wonderful!!!
When I first read this play I absolutely loved it. When our school did the production I played the part of Edward Carmichael. It was one of the greatest experiences for me. I loved doing the show, it was soo much fun. To me the show was about a very loving family who has to overcome obstacles. I would love to do the show again.

Filled with Hilarious Hype!
Reading "You Can't Take It With You" brought back so many memories. This play is full of fireworks, plays, kittens, and everything that comes together to create entertaining chaos! This play can be enjoyed by all ages. High School theatre teachers will smile as their students take pride in portraying characters like Penny, Mr. De Pinna and Essie! This story will stay in your mind as a warm memory.

Just read the other review titles
As an actor in high school, I played the character of Mr. DePinna, and it was the best theater experience I've ever had. The play has enough mature themes to be taken seriously (unlike many other family life plays of the period), but it is also humorous enough to let the cast enjoy acting in it.

A cheesecake lover's delight
This is a collection of cheesecake recipes to treasure. George Geary's recipes are so tempting and imaginative that you'll want to roll up your sleeves and start baking each and every one of them.

A great book with recipes that work!
I took George's class at the Morgantown Food Fest. In his class he taught technique after technique for successful cheescake baking. And he writes about all these techniques in this book. I'm enjoying his book, and the savory cheesecakes have been a big hit in our family! I highly recommend this book.

125 best cheesecake recipes
This book is awesome! I recomend it to anyone looking for a cheesecake cookbook. I am a novice cheesecake "baker" and found his tips in the beginning VERY helpful! This book should be a staple in everyone's kitchen!!! Love it!

Among the finest historical novels I've read.
This was one of the most captivating adventures I've read about in a long time. I'm a slow reader, and enjoy savoring the details of a good book, but still surprised myself as I finished this in (for me) record time. J. A. Thom's intensely sensitive portrayal of the conflicted and insightful soul of Lewis and Clark's half Shawnee, half French communicator and hunter, George Drouillard, made the details of two-year expedition come alive. Other accountings I've read of the Lewis and Clark Expedition left me dry, but Thom fills in the facts with riveting narrative and anchors it with fascinating historical journal entries. A thoroughly good read. Thank you, Mr. Thom.

Sign-Talker: A Trip Back in Time
Thom's Sign Talker draws in the reader from the very start. This is an action-packed, intelligent, effective novel that vividly leads you through the trials and triumphs of Lewis and Clark's journey, as seen through the eyes of their Native American interpreter. As always, Thom gives life to his characters with tremendous insight into human nature. A respectable novel I can highly recommend to anyone who enjoys adventure and history.

Sign-Talker
If you are interested in the Lewis and Clark expedition,
then this is the book for you. It is one of the best books
I have ever read. It brought the expedition to life for me
and made me feel like I was there. My main problem with
the book is that it is a novel. I would have preferred a
biography, even though a biography would not have been as
much fun to read. On almost every page I found myself
asking, "Did Thom make this up, or did it really happen?"
Here are a few examples. Did George Drouillard think of
himself as 100% Indian, Indian and French, or French?
Did Drouillard have a special friendship with Clark's
black slave, York? Was Drouillard so bold as to frequently
pester York for York to ask Clark for his freedom and get
away? Was Lewis slightly crazy at the beginning of the
expedition, or did he go crazy as the trip progressed?
Could Drouillard conduct detailed and complex conversations
with every Indian tribe he met, using only sign language?
Did Drouillard have the wisdom and attitude of a twentieth-
century liberal?

The Stock Market Course

A good book for a beginner
Easy explanations of most of the things a trader should know. There are some typos and errors, but overall the book is packed with useful information. The material does not require any previous economics or business knowledge, but will be useful for pros as well. I recommend it to everyone

All about Risk Management - A must read
I already had quite a bit of knowledge about investing and trading before studying this course, but still learned more. My only regret is that this wasn't available 5 years ago.

Stock Market Course - Excellent Read
Most books I have found on this subject are written by writers, not traders. This one is written by experts in the field. The book was well organized and was great for all types of traders, from beginning to expert. One thing I did like was how Fontanills and Gentile described the trials and tribulations they went through to learn what worked and what didnt in the stock market. A MUST READ for anyone that wants to break into the field of stock and option trading.

A fine nature read from two master storytellers
This was Jean Craighead George's first book and is, as are the majority of her eighty or so others, a masterpiece of nature writing. Originally published in 1948, the book has, thankfully, been reprinted so that it may be enjoyed by young readers once again. Ms. George also wrote DIPPER OF COPPER CREEK, also reprinted, and several other out-of-print but nonetheless wonderful nature stories, with her ex-husband John George, before going on to write such classics as MY SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN and the JULIE OF THE WOLVES books. The story concerns a young red fox in the woods of Maryland named Vulpes (all of the Georges' characters were named after their Latin scientific identifications) and his abilities outwit and outrun the hunters who are after him. Gorgeous wash illustrations by Ms. George herself and a spellbinding climax at the end make this a wonderful addition to any nature lore- or children's- book collection.

Jean Craighead George is brilliant!
If you love nature get all of the books Mrs.George has written. I love this book as well as all the others. Her writting relates to me, I love animals and beleive we need to express their beauty. She is my favorite author and I hope to get all of her books and read them and enjoy every moment. Her writting puts beautiful pictures in my mind. I hope to share them with others and have them enjoy these masterpeices. Vulpes is rather sad but it is still a lovely novel. She shows the hardships and better sides of being a fox. After you read this book it will enlighten you. Even if animals arent your favorite things it will show you how beautiful nature really is. If you absolutely love nature like I do you will enjoy this book just as much. Its not any ordinary book its an open feild of pleasure just like all the others she has written. Get it now and I hope you treasure it like I did and still do.

Great Novel
If you love foxes, this is the book for you. This excellent novel is about a young fox who grows up in the wild. The details are great and the story is well written. As a fox lover my self, I couldn't put this book down. This novel is great for young teenagers who want to know more about what it is like for a red fox to grow up in the wild. The great detail makes you think you are there in the story with the fox. I would read it over and over!
