Franklin's New Friend
This is a very good book. I love the Franklin books. This book was about a moose that moved in and no one wanted to be friends with him because he was so big. Franklin ened up being friends with the moose at the end of the book. Moose is really nice and they are glad that they became friends with him.
If you ever get a chance to read this book please do so it is a good book to read!!

Franklin's New Friend
As with all of the books in the Franklin series, the topics are approached in an open and non-judgemental way. Franklin's New Friend presents Franklin with the arrival of a new family in his neighborhood. Franklin is encouraged by his parents and teacher to inbrace the potential of making a new friend, without dwelling on the possible misgivings his has. Franklin learns that making new friends is fun, and he does not have to change the relationships he has with his existing friends.

Hurry Up Franklin
Besides having wonderful illustrations, Hurry Up Franklin, wonderfully illustrates a great lesson for children and adults. I am a special education teacher and I use this book to teach children not to procrastinate. Hurry Up Franklin, teaches them to do what they are supposed to do and not stop and play along the way and it comes from one of the most trusted characters in books today...Franklin.

Franklin too slow
This is a good book for kids. I'm always telling my son to hurry up. Franklin is trying to get to a birthday party, but on the way he meets his friends which delays him. He found some nice things on the way though. He does make it on time to wish Bear a happy birthday.

Franklin fans will love it.
Franklin, the charming emotional turtle graces the pages and stories in this great collection. I do not find Franklin "overly precious" at all.

He has the emotions of a child, and problems of a child. Little ones feel close to him and it leads them through postive problem solving techniques.

My son, who is five, loves the television show and his grandparents bought him the Franklin Classic Treasury. He loves to sprawl out on the floor and look at it while I read it to him. As a result, he truly seems to identify with Franklin's problems.

All children are afraid, or sad at some point. This is an excellent book for a young one. It's a very nature oriented collection for stories.

Buy one, and get four
This great collection of Franklin stories, gives you four wonderful stories in one book!

The titles included in this treasury are: Franklin in the Dark; Hurry Up, Franklin; Franklin Fibs; and Franklin Is Bossy.

Franklin is a wonderful, young role model for readers and listeners. He does not always do what is expected of him, but by the end of the story, he and the reader know what is right.

For anyone new to the Franklin series, this is a great way to become aquainted with some of the best stories. A child's fear of the dark will be eased with the help of Franklin, in Franklin in the Dark. The consequences of fibbing are illustrated in Franklin Fibs.

Paulette Bourgeois has done an excellent job with all the Franklin stories and it is great to be able to get four in one collection.

A Lesson in Responsibility.
Young Franklin Turtle keeps his room clean, helps out with chores, and is becoming a responsible turtle. When he learns that Mr. Mole is leaving on a four-day vacation and needs someone to water his flower garden, Franklin quickly volunteers. However, Franklin soon learns that agreeing to the job may have been more than he bargained.

This book based on a children's television show is a delight to read to children. The illustrations are taken directly from the show and are bright, full of color and action. The moral of this particular story is about being responsible for the things we do and don't do in life. Great for children ages 3-8.

Pretty Good, But Some Changes Not For the Better
Overall, this is another good "Franklin" story. The plot is solid and there are some nice illustrations. Readers will also identify with a lot of Franklin's feelings, especially as he begins to reconsider his decision to run away. My only complaint about this story is the alterations made from the television episode. For one thing, Franklin's baby sister Harriet was not in the television show in this episode, but the writers have been editing her into the storybooks, most likely as an attempt to try and change the timeline to make it look like she was in the show all along. The other big mistake is that the original story featured the excellent character Snail in a major role, whereas in this story he only appears on one page and doesn't even speak.
