It was a great book! I loved it! The storys are so good! Trust me this is a book you would love to read. All my friends have read it and they all love it!
A fantastic learning experience
Heartbreak and Roses is a non-fiction book based on ordinary teenagers'heartbreaking stories. Many teenagers speak out from their former experiences. Instead of dwelling on their hurt and pain they learn from thier former relationships, they grow form it and they move on. This book in many ways helped me beleive the truth! That it is not the end of the world when you loose your other half. Heartbreak and Roses is one of those books that stick with you for the rest of your life!!!

This is an excellent book for teens in interracial relations
Different Worlds is an fantastic book because it opens up the worlds of the teens involved in interracial relationships. This book illistrates the difficulties that each couple had to overcome inorder to be together. Different Worlds showed me that I was prejudice too. I see now that race doesn't matter. It's what you feel inside that counts.

Excellent book.
As a rape-survivor, I was stunned when I read this book. It was as if the author had read my mind, had been in my body at the time of the assault. It provides such an understanding of what it is like to be raped, that I have recommended it to my male friends who want to understand the consequences of this crime.

A Good Book
The title of my book is Hard Time. It is about teens in jail. What I liked about this book is how it is real life, and I didn't dislike anything about it.Iwould reccomend this book to a bad person so that they know about this kind of stuff.
Hard Time: A Real Life Look at Juvenile Crime and Violence
I am an 8th grade teacher on the near West side of Chicago. I teach in a neighborhood full of gangs, crime, and drugs. All of my students are at least 3 years behind in reading. This book was a godsend. Even my most reluctant reader couldn't put this book down, and eventually the kids were fighting over it.
I have recommended this book timeand time again, to teachers to scare students to get their lives together- it is a necessity in an inner city classroom!

Teens learning to cope with death.
In the book "Death is Hard to Live With", they have a lot of true short stories. Most of the stories are written by teenagers explaining the death of a relative or close friend. For instance, one girl lost her mother at the age of twelve. As the years went on she felt worse and worse about her life, she then went to see a psychiatrist to keep her in line. Many kids that shared their stories were telling about the help they either had or need. After a hard death, especially as a teen, you usually start feeling hopeless in your life which could lead to suicide. That is the last answer doctors want to hear as a result. This book is to motivate you to change your life into a better situation after a death has occured. Learning to cooperate with death can be hard and challenging at times, but reading this book points out many different ways to cope with it. There are different alternatives other than hurting or harming oneself. This book provides true stories that may be similar to a situation you are going through. I really enjoyed this book, and thought it would be great for others. It was nice because I could relate to some of the stories that were told. It was fun to compare the different choices we took to get through the situations.

Good for Educators
This book is one I would recommend to educators of minority teens as well as homogeneous white classrooms. It offers fresh insight into the lives of these immigrant youths. It is presented well and has enough stories to last through an entire unit on diversity.
