The 4th book in a series of adventurous twin escapades.
The Pratt twins are at it again. It's almost Halloween and the girls get caught up in romance & a real life ghost story in this book. The twins are excited about the upcoming Halloween Dance at school. They begin match-making among their friends and then are surprised to find out that they both have a date with the new guy in school, B.J. Wilkins. The twins come up with an identity-switching surprise for B.J. the night of the dance, only to be surprised themselves. This a great book filled with laughs & suspense and it is sure to please.

"They might be weird, but they're never dull!"
While 15-year-old Molly Witherspoon's mother is away on business in Japan for three months, Molly and her four sisters (Lizzie, Emma, Ralph, and Clementine) are left to run the house on their own, with the occasional supervision from their absentminded father. During this time, Molly is busy working on her Today's Family class presentation. She intends to film her siblings in their everyday lives, hoping to shed some light on her misunderstood family, especially since one of her sisters (Emma, the eccentric 16-year-old who is interested in the occult) is the laughingstock at their high school. In addition to that, Molly has accepted a bet with Candy Carlisle (her arch rival since the second grade), that whomever gets a lower grade on their class presentation has to publicly praise the other's work. Yet this last matter isn't entirely wrapped up by the end of the book. (...)

On occasion, the Witherspoon family is chaotic and weird, but, surprisingly, Molly and her four sisters get along very well. They're like the mirror image of the March sisters in Louisa May Alcott's "Little Women". In that respect, they are quite unusual. Still, "Molly and the Great American Family" is a heartwarming story of family/sister bonds, and their ability to solve everyday problems together is exemplary. This is a decent book for preteen and older girls, especially ones that can relate to the Witherspoon household.

Teriffic Book
This book was teriffic! It showed how a family that may seen a bit odd to everybody elese is a fun family to live with. It shows how the "typical" american family is more boring than the family that is diffrent and does diffrent things than other familes. I loved this book and you should defintly buy it!

Totally great...detailed and clear all the way through...
This was an extremely good book. I read the comments from another reader, and I totally disagree with their remark. Some of the characters may seem annoying at times, but that is the way they are meant to be. I think it would be the worst thing to read a book in which all the characters were nice and goody-goodys. Then it's boring! Molly and the Great American Family was well-written and there was always a clear explanation of each situation. I never once felt like I did not know what was going on. The best quality of this family I thought was their loyalty to one another. That's very uncommon. I think that this book is fit for any age, but particularly for teens because it relates most to them.

Not your typical teen horror romance
I usually read paperback teenage supernatural-romances just for a laugh, but I couldn't believe it when I actually found myself enjoying this book. Somehow the author manages to turn the typical beautiful-and-popular heroine meeting the dark-and-brooding-mysterious-stranger formula into something that wasn't quite as yawn-some as I thought it would be. The reason that this book works better than fellow novels in this genre is it's atmosphere - the craggy and cold coast of Oregon and the ancient forest that borders the small town. The mysteries and legends of the Native American culture is churned in for some extra intrigue. 'The Seduction' is the second part of a trilogy but I've never read the first half and followed along fine, so don't feel that you have to track it down. I learnt the scoop of what happened in the first book pretty quickly and I don't feel as if I missed much.
The story itself is of Miranda, the popular young girl who falls in love with Garth - who happens to be under the terrible curse of the werewolf, forced to shapeshift under the light of the full moon, and plauged by strange visions. Miranda vows to unravel the secrets of his past, but evil forces are closing in, and they've targetted Miranda. Now it's up to her whether she wants to resist them, or give in and experience the power of becoming a werewolf herself.

Indians, Werewolves, and Spirits- oh my!
This book held my attention from the first chapter! I read it in 1 day! While reading, you can feel the icy breeze from the ocean, hear the wolf howling and see in vivid details the Indian's totem of long ago. Your heart will race and skin will craw as you seem to walk with Garth and Miranda as they face an evil that could possibly try to destroy their love, a love that defies everything.

Barf and Miranda's Love Story
Oh gosh this is thee worst book I have ever read! Good thing I picked it up at a dollar store. The story started out alright but I think it was when Barf stumbled tipsily onto the scene that things went down hill. The last scene were they were in the woods was.....about as romantic as watching a dead tree rot.
The L.J. Smith type cover design attracted me to it despite the giggle worthy red eyes of Garth, our "hero" (snort) and the way Miranda's sprawled across it like one of those cheesy 80's romance covers. And if I remember right (this book is in a deep dark place in my closet and will hopefully never be unleashed on the world again)Garth even has a mullet..and then there's the demonic blood shot red eyes staring out from the cover.)
My suggestion, L.J. Smith is worlds better and I'm just glad I got this book for a dollar.

First Volume in the Dark Moon Legacy
Set in Overlook, Oregon, 17-year-old Miranda Campbell has become the target of a secret admirer (Garth Gautier) who hides an unbelievable secret--he's a werewolf, one that must kill to survive, even if his prey is human. But how far will Garth's hunger go before it effects the ones Miranda is closest to?

If you like young adult romance/suspense/horror novels, then you'll probably like this trilogy (Dark Moon Legacy). "The Curse" is the first book, followed by "The Seduction" and "The Rebellion". Also recommended: anything by L. J. Smith, for those who enjoy the same type of genre mentioned above.

An awesome book.
Miranda Campbell had a perfect life, ordinary in every aspect. She had great parents, loyal friends, a wonderful boyfriend. But it all fell apart overnight. Her parents split up. Her friends betrayed her out of jealousy. Her boyfriend left her for another girl. Miranda would have fallen into despair if it wasn't for Garth, the mysterious older guy she falls in love with. But Garth claims he has a secret that will keep them apart forever. Miranda is determined to prove him wrong, and will do whatever it takes. I highly reccommend this book. I was rooting for Miranda the whole time. And the end was a real cliff-hanger.

Once There Was A Good Book
I read this book as a young adult and loved it! This book is an excellent "underdog makes good" book. It is also a great opportunity for young women who are struggling with esteem issues to get an uplifting yet realistic look at not fitting into what society considers to be the norm. You will cheer as Martha dismisses her slime-bag boyfriend Eddie at last. Read all about Martha's workplace tribulations and draw your own conclusions about discrimination!

the skiers book of trail maps
I thought that this was a terrific book! Most of the maps are clear and concise but not all. I would like to see a little better quality throughout. I would imangine there is a reason that not all the maps are clear. I was disappointed that the book is a 1997 version. There have been lots of improvements thoughtout the hills and I would love to see them. I would definately buy this book again. Just let me know when the most current version is available. Vail is missing here?

not very progressive
I've also read 'The Curse', the first in the trilogy and i felt as though this second book wasn't progressive enough and Blair could have just as easily fitted both together, if not the third part of it too. In comparison to the first book however, I felt that this one offered more. Some crucial developments occur in it at least. From what I've read about the third in the series, ('The Beast') I gather that it too, has not progressed much so I guess in terms of action, this book is perhaps the more entertaining. Since I last read it, I have become an anti-romantic and I would not recommend this to readers who don't particularly enjoy the whole 'love conquers all' ideology because Blair just totally throws that in your face throughout the book...that seems to be her motif. While you need not completely avoid this book for its sub-plot can still be interesting, just be wary as it can start to seem a little unrealistic and maybe even tacky.
