I loved this book. Elizabeth has done her homework. This tale of an Indian woman falling in love with a white man will leave you breathless. You'll travel through many years of Falling Star's life, her struggle to survive as she makes her way among the white men, facing adversities most could not endure You will never forget Falling Star.

Although the author's prose may seem a bit disjointed today, the timeless message of this great book sounds forth with astonishing clarity in our modern culture.

One has only to look as far as one's local newscast to see firsthand the tragedies that are inflicting a nation that has been repeatedly told that the role of a strong father is not necessary to the development of our children.

And what about the Dad's that really do want to be there for their children? Where in today's society can a Dad go to learn exactly what his children and wife really need to thrive?

Thankfully, this book does just that. By pointing to the timeless principles in God's word, a father can begin the process of orienting his marriage relationship and fatherhood responsiblities to God's principles.

Everything I have read by Elisabeth Elliot is encouraging and thought-provoking, but this is distilled beautiful wisdom. Each letter of the alphabet is given five one-page entries; for example, 'trust' has five pages, 'commit' has five, etc. Some of the entries are culled from her other writings, some are quotations of well-known Christian thinkers or of classic hymns. Each page has enough on it to think about for at least an entire day. Your heart will be strengthened and made joyful as you read.

This book will definitely answer and address all of your questions on gender and sexuality. A great book filled with a lot of knowledge of yesterday and today's gender issues in sexuality.

I found this book really interesting. Very unusual subjects are covered and each chapter is actually an edited and very lively discussion between E.J. Gold and students and other interested folks. Lots of humor too, one of my favorite things!
