A revolution that remains
Great...
G. E. Moore offers a great evaluation of all the ethical philosophies, from the psychologist propositions (John Stuart Mill), to the naturalist, evolutionary ethics, utilitarianism, hedonism, etc. You see how they all fall into the "naturalistic fallacy", that the "good" is somehow related to some physical, psychological, emotional or evolutionary aspect. Bright refutation of all of these positions. Very good for those who want to start knowing about ethics, specially analytical ethics.

birds love these
I bought this for my husband 2 years ago and he has made all the large feeders. He really enjoyed building them and I enjoy showing them off. I'm currently looking for another book with different designs but so far this is the best one.
Birdfeeders Shelters & Baths
An excellent book that illustrates how to make some very nice birdhouses that vary from the easy to the complex like the one on the cover. I'm building the one on the cover and am having a lot of fun! The best birdfeeder book I've seen so far.

Much better than Volume 1
This book is a much better read than Volume 1 ot the series. Griffin is getting better at exploring the evil that men do for good causes. The depiction of WW II England and the politics of the Free French forces were fascinating. I'll look forward to his next book.
Outstanding!!! Spell binding!!! Can't get enough!!!
Another work of art. Griffin has an uncanny ability to bring you into the story. I wouldn't put it down. I wish that it were longer. Griffin is by far the greatest author that I have ever read. I've read every book of every series except Men in Blue. I'm afraid to start that one. I might like it too much. Can't wait for the next one to come out.
Griffin keeps you on your seat with each serial
Previously reading Griffin has help set the mind set of the reading his books. They intrique and are suspensful. I enoyed the fact of decrease romance in this book but the realism of how war effects both men and women. Keep up the supspense and I'll be a loyal follower.

Dated, Cheesy, and Charming
By the people who brought you pantyhose crafts, a large book of instructions on how to make an extended family of dolls from ... you guessed it ... pantyhose! They are soft-sculpture Americana characters from the 1800s; patterns for each doll's clothing are included. I did not try to make any of the dolls from this 1983 book, but the instructions look comprehensive and the book is lavishly photo illustrated. The best part is the whimsical full-page biography of each quirky doll. Somebody had a good time writing this "family's" story and it reads like an author's background notes for a comic historical novel.

This edition comes with a wonderful introduction from Thomas Baldwin, quite a scholar himself.
If you haven't read Moore before, read this one. His writing is so utterly clear and eloquent that you will be wondering why can't all philosophers write like this. When it was written, some people thought it was better than Plato.
If you have read this book before, read this one. But you will not find answers to the open-question argument. Sadly enough, Moore passed away before he could respond to the objections to this book.
This is a beautifully bound book with the text and thought of a philosophical genius.
