I liked this book mainly because of the subjects. I'm not that big on photography as an art form. (As Andy Warhol said, "Photographers feel guilty that all they do for a living is press a button.") But I like Jim Morrison, Beatles, Stones, and a lot of others in this book. So really enjoy it because of that.

I first saw this book at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and was amazed at the photographs. Mrs. McCartney didn't seem to take posed pictures with bright lights in the musician's eyes. She used natural light and caught the musicians in their natural state. I love this book so much because of the honest quality to the photos. I'd definately recommend it!

first of all, I just don't understand the people that didn't like Linda's book. As a beginner photographer, I can only hope I will ever be able to be as good as Linda was. Linda McCartney whom I loved so much and I still do.... thank you for inspiring me, I don't know what would I do without you. take care of John for me. I love you. Lihi.

As a new creative writing instructor I was very pleased to locate this book! It allowed my students to begin with the bits and pieces for good stories and combine them into great works. Gone are the days of students constantly saying " I don't know where to begin". This book gives them the necessary information to begin their writing and then allows them to experiment with different settings, characters and actions until they are satisfied with the end result!

As a new instructor of creative writing I was very pleased to locate this book! My students were paralyzed with fear when given their first writing assignment. "Where do I start?" and "How do I establish believability?" were frequent questions. This book allowed my students to start at one specified place and work on the specific parts of their stories and then move on. It is absolutely the best textbook I have located to date!

Gordon Loggins and the three bears was a hit with my children. I am always on the search for a great "fractured fairy tale" to read to my students and this one was definitely a great find! Gordon Loggins fills in for Goldilocks when she is missing in the story "Goldilocks and the three bears", during story time at the library. He is not only a hit with the children listening to the story but gains the approval of the three bears themselves. What child or adult doesn't love to "jump" into a book!

The story is told in a way that almost demands to be read aloud, the language is rhythmic, filled with vivid descripitions and dialogue that evokes the setting and experiences of the characters. "It's time now to dance. I'm wearing my silver and green dancing pants. I can float like a cloud. I'm as light as the air. When I jump over here, I land way over there. I can hang upside down by my toes from this tree. So I just don't have time for a bath. Can't you see?"

At some point, the reader becomes lost in the game, lost in the world of the story, where Petula has vegetables growing out of her hair and greedy neighbours literally snapping at her heels! This book offers a humorous look at the 'dirty side' of life, which most young children would giggle themselves grotty at. Let's face it, where there is a child, there is usually grot... (and I mean that in the nicest possible way!)
