The first book in this series focuses on Maggie, the granddaughter of a veterinarian. Within the first few chapters, a couple of puppy owners show up and bring in a total of 10 puppies suffering from serious health problems. When maggie and her grandma hear that the puppies all came from the same place, they begin to suspect a puppy mill. Maggie becomes determined to find the puppy mill, but she gets in trouble for her bad grades and her cousin Zoe shows up at the clinic. So instead of finding the puppy mill, Maggie looks up the laws on the breeding of puppies with the help of Sunita, and they do eventually catch the crook. But it seems that the sheriff wants to let the guy off easy. Will the pupy mill really go down? From what I read of this book, the series is off to a good start.

This is a very exciting and interesting book. It's about an 11 year old girl that lives with her grandmother, Dr. MacKenzie or Dr. Mac, because her parents died in a car crash when she was 7. The book is about Maggie who is having trouble with her grades in school, and she is banned from the clinic until her grades go up. On top of that, since she can't do the work if she's banned, some kids from school help out at the clinic. She feels like she doesn't belong there anymore. Plus it's worse when her cousin, Zoe, who's mother is an actress comes to stay. The story is about a man who is running a puppy mill which is illegal. He sells sick, dirty puppies at the farmer's market. Maggie, her cousin, and "friends" try to stop the man from selling the pups. It's full of sad times, and good times. This is a good book if you love puppies.

This book is really cool, expecially if you like animals and I love animals! It tells about how Maggi, Sunita, David, Brenna, and her cuz Zoe help out at the vet clinic with Gran. They keep getting sick puppies and find the puppy mill where the puppies are coming from. It's a really good book, but kind of sad. You have to read this book if you like amimals, or even if you don't! My mom and sister even likes them a little.

I think this book is AWESOME it's my faivorite in the series !
It's about this girl named Brenna who gose to Florida with some other volunteers from Wild at Heart animal clinic to reaserch Manatees and really makes a diference. I would recamend this book to any persone that likes water animals or just wants a Great book.

This book is very intriguing, I couldn't put it down! Brenna and two other friends (Zoe and Maggie) went to Florda to study manatees. When they get there they meet a marine biologist who works at a rescue center for manatees and other animals. This place needs ALOT of money to stay open. When Brenna takes a picture of a famous baseball player driving his boat too fast where manatees may be, and then shows it to him after his baseball game... Did she just save the rescue center? I suggest this book to anyone who likes water animals, and alot of adventure.

An amazing biography!! Sarah's life is turned into a superhero-like story that is really interesting. All the details of her life are left out, only leaving the most important and exciting information. Anderson addresses issues children can identify with and uses plenty of exciting words like secret weapons and superhero. The illustrations are full of humor, wit, and extensions of historical information. The story has humor and suspense, something very different from traditional biographies.

This is one of the finest books in the holiday cannon ever. The prolific heroine will inspire readers of all ages seeking to learn about the making of an American tradition. The historical veracity, pithy writing and imaginative artwork afford classic status to this one. Bravo, Sarah!

I read Thank You Sarah for a project for the Waukazoo library. I thought it was a good because it is about Thanksgiving and I think Thanksgiving is a special holiday. I think kids 9 years old or younger would enjoy this book in the 3rd grade. I recommend this book.

The Wild At Heart book Trickster is a great book. I finished the book in two days , i just couldn't put it down. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I like horses, but by reading this book i love them even more. This book has one of the best endings i have ever read. All of the Wild At Heart books are very good, but Trickster is the best.

Storm Rescue was an awesome book! It was really sad and toaching at the same time! I've read many Wild at Heart books, and they're all good! You actally feel like you're there! Storm Rescue takes place from a cat lover who volunteers at Wild at Heart,! Her name is Sunita! She pet sts a cat named Lucy who has diabetes. The Wild at Heart clinic has a summer picnic for all the pets and their owners, but the picnic gets ruined by a storm from Hurricane Felix that is coming their way! All the pets start acting funny from the storm! Soon part of town is under 8 feet of water! Sunita has to find something to do! Find out what Sunita does in Storm Rescue!

This book is the best with the courage of a young girl finally unleashing itself. This story will keep you reading,except for when you stop to ask you parents about some of the great vocabulary. I hope you will try this exciting book where you can't decide what side is correct untill the truth will be illuminated in the end.

This book is one of my favorite books. I look forward to all the books when they come out. I love her books. Every time I read another sentence I fall more into the book.

Gosh,This book along with the rest of this series is just great ! The author has a way with words that enchants you into the book. This story follows Maggie,a girl going into 6th grade who hates school.But now all of a sudden she feels much better when her science teacher who is blind has a guide dog.They musn't have gotten to know each other very well because they are still having trouble adjusting to one another. Maggie gets to help the teacher and the dog adjust and feel how great it is to have a signifacant other to help you in life, and then they experience a horrible thing.Maggie cried,the teacher cried,the dog prolly cried,and I cried.She makes the story so real it feels ad if your in it. I really suggest this series to anyone,animal lover or not you can become one .

Turkey Pox is not your average Thanksgiving story. It's about a girl named Charity who gets the Chicken Pox on Thanksgiving. Her family has to cancel their trip to Nana's for Thanksgiving dinner, so Nana brings Thanksgiving dinner to them. There are many funny parts in this story, especially when we learned about what turkey pox were! The pictures help make the story hilarious. We think kids would love reading this book because all kids get the chicken pox. We think the author and illustrator worked very hard to come up with a creative story.

This is a really cute book for small children. I read it to the children I babysit and they just loved it. They especially liked the pictures, and I reccomend this book. It really holds children's attention!

This is one of the best books I've read because it seemed so real. Fear of Falling was exciting, especially when the author wrote about the Siamese cat being treated for breathing problems, with younger kids helping the vet as vet assistants. I want to be a vet someday. David, the main character, learned that jumping horses is dangerous and riders should take precautions. But he learned he could fall and still like jumping. This book seemed real because the characters were young, and the story was told from their point of view. Readers should be at Level 6 (third grade) to read this book.

This is a good story about a thoughtful and clever girl. All mothers could use the unusual and creative gift Charity thinks of. Perhaps this book will give your own kids some ideas.

I think this was one out of the series that was one of the most exciting books. It's about Maggie's friend, Sunita Patel. Sunita loves cats. She works as a vet volunteer at Dr. Mac's clinic. One day Sunita and her friends are walking home from school and they come across an open field with a ton of cats walking around. One of the cats are feral and hurt. They take him to Dr. Mac. The only trouble is, the two kids that were feeding the cats before Sunita got here is that their mother is raving mad about the kids being around feral cats. Sunita must persuade the kids mom that not all cats are bad. Will Sunita change her mind after she is bitten by one? Find out in Homeless.
