I highly recommend this tape for those who need their spirits lifted.

I intend to purchase the book as a replacement for my husband. When I first met him he would read the book everyday!! I picked it up a couple of times to read and found it amazing and most uplifting. I noticed my husband utilizing the information towards the relationships he encountered, and people would respond in a positive manner regardless of the situation. Dr. O.C. Smith was way ahead of his time. He is a teacher of the truth. Get a spiritual high and read it.

I really liked reading this book. I have read Alexandria Altman's first book "John Carpenter Speaks Out", also a very good book. Easy to read and to the point. I look forward to reading "Mission Possible" #2 and on. Also I look froward to any other of Ms. Altman's books. I feel we will be seeing her as a bestseller in the near future.

It is an amazing book. I really like the way that each of the 12 authors shared how they achieved success. It is easy to read and filled with lots of useful information. You can pick it up and read a chapter in 30 minutes and have practical ideas to apply now! It really motivated me to become more successful. Anyone wishing to be more successful should buy this book and apply the principles. I am and it is paying dividends!

... This is the book for you. Fast-paced interviews with successful individuals can be a great encouragement. Such is the information contained in Mission Possible! Barry Banther's inspirational chapter is worth the price of the book alone. You will have your favorite chapter I am sure. This is truly "on-the-job-training" for living.

This is a great book that gives great advice about being an individual, working hard and about other aspects of life.

This is a charming, uplifting, extemely honest little book, full of nuggets of wisdom, and a glimpse into Amos' life. Measuring not much more than 5 x 7, it would make the perfect stocking stuffer, or gift for someone who needs some encouragement and a few positive thoughts.
Wally has been an adventurous soul, and has a wonderful, easy and humorous way with words. He's had his ups and downs, but has known how to get by with a fearless zest for living.

The layout is excellent, and unlike some books of this type, has no wasted space. Its 9 chapters are separated by choice quotes from wise folks like Confucius and Mark Twain, and a short "Wallymelon Lesson", like: "My experiences have shown me that life truly is a journey, and the less baggage we carry the easier the ride" (pg. 38).

I particularly liked the chapter that deals with the loss of his mother, "Gaining from Loss". It was tenderly written and quite moving. Though there's no new revelation in this book, it's an easy, refreshing read, like spoonfulls of cheer, with a lot of heart.
"...we are all strands in the tapestry of life. Whatever we do to the tapestry, we do to ourselves" (pg.83).

So many aspects to self-help. I haven't quit talking about this book since I read it 3 weeks ago. I have purchased 3 copies so far to hand out as presents. Everybody should read this no matter what your age, you will gain a positive insight. It was recommended to me by my therapist who has been passing the "word"of Watermelon Magic on to everyone who will listen. I will be giving this book as a present to everyone that I know who has a birthday this year or Christmas or just "because they need it". The only unfortunate thing is that it is not on audio tape for the blind. Work on that

Wally Amos is on my list of role models for our time, and on this tape series, he dynamically illustrates how to use the Power inherent in each of us. This is a tape to be listened to for a month, set aside, and then used again within a year.

I so enjoyed this book. I read spiritually and emotionally uplifting materials all the time. Some are sooooo heavy. And I must admit that sometimes I need the weight of the information, in the same way that I need and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. But Wally's book is pure dessert, just like his cookies. When I need a quick energy lift I return to his book. I not only found myself vicariously enjoying the honest and fun loving individual, Wally (Famous) Amos, but I felt that I met a soul mate...a lover of life and a believer in the positive powers of the universe.

I have to admit, he should have written the book sooner. He might have saved my marriage. When he speaks of the process and power of his determination and commitment to keeping his marriage in tact inspite of some "infractions" I realized the impact positive, powerful, decisive action can make.

I share excerpts of the book with my graduate students(educators who are stressed). I give them bite size pieces of positive energy at the beginning or ending of the class. That way they can begin the session or end it with a smile.

I do plan to try the recipe for his famous cookies for Christmas. I'll be glad to let you know if they turn out famously.

I was honored to hear a talk by this gentle, humorous man 7/15/98 at the INTA Conference in Arizona. He genuinely bubbles with enthusiasm and positive energy. It was a joy to read this book and learn how he turns events around to his satisfaction, depending solely upon God. Two of his powerful statements are, "Failure is Someone Else's Opinion of the Outcome of a Situation," and "Power Is In Being, Not in Doing." Wally Amos depends, he says, on spiritual laws that work - he doesn't have to understand them - they just work. He tells us how to benefit from adversity and of the many relationship problems that occur and how to handle them. I enjoyed every minute reading this book and highly recommend it.
