All the Info You Need!
I had a bought and borrowed a few for-sale-by owner books in order to help me sell my spec houses, but was always very disappointed with how and general and vague they were. This book, however, told me all the info I needed in a very easy-to- follow, step-by-step format. I really feel like I totally understand the process now, thanks to this book. If you follow all the advice and suggestions, you will definitely save thousands on realtor fees.

Wonderful Story
I purchased this book because my mother was a good friend of the author's mother. I figured I would read it and pass it along to my mother and that would be it. I am going to have to purchase another copy to send to my mother because I want to keep my copy of The Journey of the Emerald Bottle.

What a wonderful story that Linda Shields Allison has written about a girl and her journey. It is a story that can be read to children but it is a story that grabbed me and caused me to stay up late reading to find out what was going to happen to Tara. Linda gives us some historical information about Irish Immigration. She has wonderful characters both heros and villians. She offers in story the idea that those who help other people along lifes journey are the good guys and that in the end that is rewarded. She has a twist at the end of the story that is surprising and will hopefully lead to a sequel to this wonderful book. It reminds me of the style of Kate Seredy who wrote "The Good Master" and "The Singing Tree". Just like author Seredy, Linda takes a historical situation and puts in in human context and brings it a life. It was about midnight on St. Patrick's Day that I finished "The Journey of the Emerald Bottle." I am sure Linda's Irish mother is proud.

The Authentic Southern Cooking Bible!
Ms.Lewis brings a culinary treasure tale to her readers. The recipes are time tested and do not disappoint. It's a fine blend of elegant creations, and down home hearty favorites that revive memories of your Southern Grandmother on Sunday. This is the definitive work on Kentucky cuisine and her collaboration with some of the finer Kentucky chefs spread the rich tradition of the Bluegrass state in style. Burgoo, Cheese grits, and Kentucky bourbon sauces lay the foundation for a book that is well worth the read. Apologies to Emeril, but this book kicks southern cooking up a notch!

NOLO'S POCKET GUIDE TO FAMILY LAW
THAT WHICH I READ WAS QUITE INFORMATIONAL. IT IS QUITE DIFFICULT TO SUPPORT GA. LAWS EXPECIALLY IN THE RURAL CITIES SURROUNDING THE PERIMETER. ALTHOUGH THE ONLY QUESTION I WAS LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER FOR WAS..... HOW LONG DOES A PARENT WHO GIVES UP THEIR PARENTAL RIGHTS OR THEIR PARENTHOOD HAVE AT A CHANCE AT RECLAIMING THIS IF IT WASN'T A WANTED POSSITION OF THEIRS BUT ONE FORCED ON BY CONTENTS GIVEN TO THEM BY A PROCECUTOR WHOM WORKS FOR THE CITY OR STATE?

Recycling, Crafting, and Family
This book came out in the seventies and it was my FAVORITE book as a teenager! Not only are there some great ideas for recycling things into "objects d'art" it's full of stories and Allison family remembrances. There are lots of instructions for making cool things like: a funky "chicken" coat out of old tee-shirts; some plush velvet slippers; a rag doll; and magic wands. It is peppered with photos of the Allison sisters through the years. Okay, maybe some of the fashion styles are a bit dated, but the ideas are easily "upgradable" to suit the fashion mindset of today. This is a gentle, creative book, it's still on my shelf, it is well worn, and I still love it after more than 20 years, can you tell?

Great read
I usually go for romances like Rogers, Lindsey and one of my latest reads, "Anything, My Love" by Cynthia Simmons. This book was a little different, but I enjoyed it. This book is fun, sweet and sexy.

Fun, fun, fun for preschoolers and up
This book contains fun learning ideas on turning your preschooler on to the love of words. There are fun activities using magnetic alphabets, making pancakes into letter shapes, rhyming games, grab bag tales, alphabet soup, alphabet books, writing tips, and on and on. It's a little gem of a book, but one you'll refer to whenever you're stumped for a teaching idea.

Patent It Yourself

Detailed, step-by-step instructions for filing a patent
"Patent It Yourself" is well laid out and written. It gives enough history and background on the Patent system to help one become knowlegeable on a general level. The book leads the reader through all the logical steps of developing a design or utility patent. Many useful forms are included. Not all of the forms are for the Patent Office, for example there is a form for sharing of a patent among partners. The book has tons of detailed information with a fair index. It can be usefull as a reference for those who are using an attorney but want to be in the know.

Patently Wonderful.
If you're contemplating a patent, this book is a treasure. It is thorough and well-organized, a wealth of relevant material articulately presented by a writer who obviously knows his stuff. Patent attorney David Pressman guides you step by step through the process -- conceiving your idea, adequately documenting your invention, successfully writing and obtaining your patent, avoiding legal pitfalls, and profitably marketing your intellectual property.

At each step along the way Pressman presents insiders' information without which you could easily trip and fall. And at each step he offers practical "laundry lists" of issues to consider, facilitating a level of thoroughness that would be hard to achieve without them.

It's easy to recommend this valuable work, both to inventors who want to seek a patent on their own and to others who just want a comprehensive overview of the law, the issues, and the process.

Great Book . . . And A Good Reference For Patent Attorneys
I'm a patent attorney, and I've kept this book near my desk for years. I recommend it often to clients. Even if they really don't want to file their own patent applications, the book helps them to better understand patent applications. After reading a few chapters, they're often able to make well-informed decisions about their patent matters. And many patent attorneys can benefit from reading parts of the book, such as the chapter on marketing inventions.

Blood and Guts: a working guide to your own insides
The information in this book is clear and accurate. The drawings are good too. However, many of the projects described don't work. Some of them don't work because they can't work and some of them don't work because there isn't quite enough information given to the reader to make them work.

Great entertaining science!
"You are many things. You are millions of blood vessels, billions of cells, hundreds of muscles, thousands of hairs, quarts of blood...You are blood and guts and a whole lot more." An ambitious undertaking for a single volume! Yet Blood and Guts does a fabulous job of explaining the human body in terms that children can understand. And the illustrations and experiments are simple but easily understood. Chapters cover Skin, Bones, Teeth, Muscles, Heart, Lungs, Cells, Digestion, Kidneys, Eyes, Ears, Balance, Brain and Reproduction. Children will be delighted with the experiments including dissecting an animal's heart, shifty eyes, liquidation (bladder capacity), starch and spit test, calisthenics for your face, casting teeth and the great thumbless survival test. No science background is required. In fact, it may be best to combine learning with your children in this fascinating book. Recommended for all ages, home or school... From The Science Spiders Newsletter.

A clear, fun and helpful book that answers it all!
This book is loaded with uncomplicated science experiments that require ordinary household items. It is filled with interesting facts (like "what is really on the back of your hand, if you think you know it so well?!") Teachers and those who home school their children will find this a very useful resource that puts information in "kid language" without dumbing down the information.
