Must for the starters
A must read for archery enthusiasts, taking up the sport. The book lays out the basics, and something really important for the beginners, "common mistakes or pitfalls". Gives a good direction of where to go and what not to do in a hurry of taking up the sport. Very good toddler's steps.

A Guide to Playing the Mythos Card Game
This book contains miscellaneous information about the Mythos collectible card game. It contains: the rules of the game, a FAQ, a short play and deck construction guide, a sort of designer's notes on the game, background information on selected cards, rules for solitaire play and creating your own adventures, a complete spoiler list for the limited edition of the game and lists of card attributes and requirements for completing adventures.
As a collector and player of the game, I found the designer's notes on the history of the game and the design philosophy to be especially interesting. Also useful to me are the short notes on the background of selected cards and the rules for creating and scoring your own adventures. The pictures of the selected cards are black & white with a paragraph of background info. Buyers should also note that there is an updated version of the rules of the game at the Chaosium website.

Great vocab book for SATs
My mom had this book when she was a teenager and used it to study for the SATs. So, she gave it to me to use when I was studying for them. It has a lot of excercises for the vocab words, but I didn't use them because they were already written in. This book has many good words, but I especially like it because those words aren't specifically for the SAT--they're just words you would come accross in general. Clearly studying from this book helped me, since I got an 800 verbal score when I took the test in October of my Junior year. Since then, people have been asking me to borrow it to study from. The person who has it now offered to buy the book from me because he thought it was so useful.

The best in the market, but..
Princeton review people have proven that they actually KNOW what they are doing. However, I couldn't get my RevieWare Software when I bought the book. Instead I got 4 sample tests. Why?
RevieWare Software is (in fact seems to be) a practical tool for the GMAT student, but it is not there, even though is fully explained in the book.

What a way to prepare for the GRE quickly
This book and disks cover the essential GRE. It is designed
for the paper and pencil format, but the techniques work
just as well on the CAT. The tests on disk mimic the actual
exam so well that you are at home when taking the real exam.
I found the instructions clear and extremely helpful.
Problems do arise with the disk, but only with the
diagnostic exams. Overall this is an outstanding way to
prepare for the GRE in a short amount of time and do well.

Best there is for test prep!
The Princeton Review people really know what they are doing to help students prepare for the GRE. My scores were amazing, and I owe it all to this book! I especially was grateful for the sample questions and the guidelines for the logic portion. I only missed 3 questions in that section and scored a 780! Thanks, Princeton Review, for helping me succeed!

It works!
This book, as with all the Princeton Review series, is funny, witty, frank, and effective. The sample questions provided in the book, as well as in the disk, are just like those on the real test. It worked a miracle on my verbal score!

A riveting look at how historians do history
A riveting murder mystery involving race and sex in the Old South, "Death of an Overseer" is equally fascinating for what it reveals about the historian's craft. Besides this, it is beautifully written. Historians and the general reader alike will find this book hard to put down.

Forgotten Jewels
Almost forgotten among the writings of the Founders, John Adams Defense of Constitutions represents nothing less than a profound view of the nature of government and the American experiment. Adams writes a strong style. Reacting against the more radical elements following the founding era, Adams presents a view of constitutional government which today would be considered Conservative. His aim is to demonstrate that it is through limited government (limited by authorizing documents) men may find the fullest liberty. While governments may become arbitrary, those limited by law serve, rather than rule, the citizen. Modern desire for expansive government stands at serious odds with Adam's view and his understanding of the nature of the American Constitutional system, expounded here, contradicts the demands of the welfare or "nanny" state. Russell Kirk in The Conservative Mind devotes some length to an examination of Adams treatise and finds it both comprehensive and significant. This is a work which our time sorely needs to read and understand if we are to return ourselves to the liberty loving people Adams longed for Americans to be.
