This text is a timely and insightful work. The authors give a good overview of the major assessment instruments used in Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education. Procedural guidelines, cultural validity and family concerns are also discussed. I found that the book is a great reference tool to go back to when questions arise! I would recommend this book to anyone working in the field of Special Education.

The book, Celebrating Commi=on Prayer by the Society of St. Frances, which is available through the UK division of Amazon.com when no longer available at the U.S. division. I have at present one copy left and there are several copies that I've donated to the Mission To Seamen in Pusan S.Korea. It is excellent for group prayer sessions. By following the simple format you are guided through a prayer session so that it is kept well organized. About the only thing I would add is a section on conversatinal prayer which is lacking in most group prayer guides. This is however one of the best I've foundd.

This text is very well written, comprehensive and extremely informative. It should be noted that the sections on Noise Law are from a UK perspective, examining UK statutes. There is no discussion whatever of US codes.

The key to understanding Hemingway's work is to view it as a broad allegory on the sociopolitical environment in which he lived and wrote. On a purely literal level, one could view "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" and "The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber" as a campy yet endearing story of one man's search for the perfect ski slope (Kilimanjaro) or the perfect hunting trip(Macomber). But if you look at the mountain as, say, the U.S. economy and the elephant as, say, the gold standard and Francis' wife as, say, the War Powers Act, the story takes on an entirely different meaning. And the ancient sherpa's diatribe on the Securities Exchange Commission becomes an extremely poignant and brilliantly crafted fulcrum on which to balance the story's central metaphor.
