Deep In The Deep Blue Sea
This book is about Jack. The author,Elvira Woodruff, has read the book and admiring the book. This book i great. If you lke mystery books you will like this book. I like this book because it gives you the picture that you can see it in your head. Jack is sleeping in his bed when a ghostly figure was at the end of his bed! Jack found out that he was livivg but the ghost was not.The ghost name was Nathaniel Witherspoon than it said "you're the exactly the kind of boy I need" Jake woke up he found himself in a 150 secret of a ship wreck that clamed many lives including young Nataniel Witherspoons.

good ghost
I am in fourth grade and I got the Ghost of Lizard Light out from my library. I wondered how scary it would be. It was just scary enough to make me want to keep reading, but not so scary that I had nightmares. The ghost is really good and I liked that he haunted the lighthouse. I also liked Ned the lizard. I would reccomend this book to any kids who love a good ghost story. I'm going to try the author's mummy book next. Jon in Bridgewater, N.J.

you will really like this book
The Ghost of Lizard light is about little ghosts. I really like this story becaouse it is funny and sad becaouse the half grown up kide uses his own brother you probly wont late your kids read tis book. But you should ander stand that it is trying totell your kids not to play with stuff laying on the on the ground and not to pick up green glowing things. And to listen to you so I would recommend that you give this book five stars because it is so great and theirs know dout about it. So please give it five stars.

An Unforgettable Tale of Devotion and Courage
This is absolutely one of the most outstanding literary works
that I have ever read. Although the book is an easy read, the storyline is fascinating and spellbinding. You won't be able to
put this book down until you finish it! It's a rare find today--
a story of love, devotion, courage, and sacrifice. You will be
reminded of what the true meaning of Christmas is. This book should be read by all young girls and women. Treat yourself to
a tale that is destined to become a Christmas classic!! Enjoy!!

A beautiful old-fashioned story of love and kindness
This is a wonderful, wonderful book, and should be at the top of your Christmas list for that special girl in your life. It has everything--wonderful characters, exciting on-the edge of your seat plot, beautiful language and imagry, and an old-fashioned message of selfless love, and of reaching out to others in need. I don't want to say more because I don't want to give anything away. Buy it, read it first, then give it to as many children as you know. ...

A lovely, sentimental story
I purchased a copy of this book for a friend whose great grandparents immigrated from Russia and entered the United States through Ellis Island and then purchased one for myself to read aloud to my third grade students. The paintings are beautiful and haunting; some in color, some in sepia tones. The story itself is heartwarming and sentimental.

Even reluctant readers love this book.
I'm a fifth grade teacher and our class reads this book during a unit on immigration. I've used it for two years and the students love it. Students who usually dislike reading moan with disapproval when I say "put away your books until tomorrow." It is exciting and is a great way to integrate instruction. Students who read about this time-traveling orphan express appreciation for their own families who are often taken for granted. Donna King, teacher on Long Island, NY

Best Book I have Ever Read
Dominic, a Lonely, boy, who just wants to have a real family... Different Schools....And his clothes are to small... I finisheed it in 3-4 does just from spare tme in class! I think every kid, would Love this book! My teacher might order around 40 books next year for her class, because of my opinion! This is the Best Book I have Ever Read!

It¿s out of this world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I rate this book five stars because it's adventurous, exciting, and it leaves you wondering what's going to happen next.I can only tell you a little because I can't spoil the book for you...but I can tell you this much.Well,it all begins when Dominic,an orphan, was on a class trip and he left the group...a boy named Salvatore died because of pits...when Dominic came off the boat at Ellis Island in 1908... Francesco used a pin to carve a ... Dominic found himself in the museum back in the year 1996. Sorry for skipping a lot of the story..but like I said at the beginning I can only tell you a little because I can't spoil the book for you. So you'll have to read the book to find out what parts of the story I did not tell you!

Do you want to read a book that is both easy and interesting
If you do, read Dear Napoleon, I Know Your Dead, But.... It is about a kid
and his best friend, Russell. Russell and Marty have to figure out how Marty can write to
famous dead people and get letters back! Would you believe your friends if they did the same? I think that everyone should read this book because it is simply great.

Very Authentic
The kid in this story was different. He wanted to write to a historical figure rather than a sports star or musician--very unique for a kid's book. The book was interesting and I related to Martin because he was different than other kids. I highly reccommend this book to people who like history and have different perspectives. This was an excellent read--highly reccommended.

A touching read... Not what I expected!
I noticed this book at a book fair in fifth grade, and brought it home, expecting (because of the title) a ludicrous, laugh-inducing romp through history. What I got instead was a touching, sometimes hilarious, sometimes sad book that had me fairly glowing with pleasure after I finished it.

This is definetely a worthwhile read, and a good buy. :-)

Exciting, and the letter format made it even more realistic.
I read this book a couple of years ago (to my son). We both loved it. The events that happen to the boy as he travels along the Oregon Trail gave my son a realistic account of what it was like for the people who lived it. At the end of each letter he would beg me to go on, and it was so interesting I never needed much convincing. Even though the reading level is probably 4th-6th grade, I have decided to use the book with my special education students (grades 10, 11, 12). I predict they will love it too!

Adventures on a Wagon Train
Dear Levi is a historical fiction book that is based on a true story. This splendid story is about a boy named Austin who is traveling on a wagon train to Oregon, while writing letters to his little brother Levi. On the way he meets new friends and has many difficult problems. We recommend this book to anyone. So,read Dear Levi by Elvira Woodruff.

Great book and author!
I've met the author and would recomend any one of her books to you! This book is about a boy who writes to his brother while he(austin) is on the Oregon Trail. There is a sequel coming or is out that's called dear Austin. It's about Levi Writing back to austin.

A GREAT FAMILY READ ALOUD
A great family read aloud! I read this book aloud to my three children each night after supper. They got so involved in the story, one night they forgot to watch their favorite TV show. This book makes an excellent read-aloud and is the kind of literature I want my children to be reading. It's exciting, full of humor and imagination. A great way to learn about history. But what I loved most about the book was that it was so full of heart and though the kids laughed alot in the funny parts the also grew very, very quiet suring the sad parts. The story opened up a lot of discussion about war and what happens when men choose to fight for their beliefs. My children and I are looking forward to sharing other books by this author.

Awsome Book!!!
How many people travel back into time, get to help out with a march in a war, and have the courage to care for a friend in the freezing snow? Not many people I know!!! Wow!! George Washington's Socks is a fascinating book about a boy named Matt and a group of friends. They decide to camp out in their backyard. Suddenly, Matt's sister Katie finds an old rowboat. When they travel on the rowboat it takes them back into George Washington's time! Matt helps out with a march in the Revolutionary War, and meets a very special friend. Matt is cold and hungry, when a gentelman takes him into his home. Will Matt ever find his friends? Will Matt ever get home? Read this book to find out!!!!

Double Pleasure
My ten year old twins and I read this book together. As different as my boys are in personality, they were in complete agreement on this one. They loved the story! They were on the edge of their seats at the end of each chapter.I even learned some things about the Revolutionary War that I didn't know! We're going to look for other books on Washington now that our interest is so stirred..

OKAY. . .
This book was a good book, but it could have been MUCH better! It was really humurous, though. Noah has these little action figures, and he want to have an adventure with the tiny guys. The next day, he gets a little magic kit. Noah uses it on the bus to school. He wishes with all his might that he could have an adventure with his little men. Guess what! The wish comes true! Well, I think you should read this book if you like a funny book, but if you wanat just a good book, I suggest you don't read it, but hey, it's your opinion!

Toy story was good this book is better
To all readers, This book I'm still reading it is one of the greatest books Ive ever read. Its got action thrills laughs and three headless aliens from Saturn. The story is about a boy named Noah who collects action figures that he calls (His Guys) On the bus to school he wishes he and his guys/the aliens Gordy and commander falcon wpould come to life and he would shrink to there size and have an adventure. Read this book if you like actions or is in fourth grade.

Very Short People in the Fourth Grade
You have to be careful of what you wish for because it might come true. Noah, a fourth grader, got a magic set with wishing dust in it. He wished for something that he really wanted and it came true! I think all fourth graders should read this book because it is about fourth grade and it is a very humorous story.
