Great book for beginning readers
"Morris the Moose Goes to School" is a fun story that kids enjoy reading and listening to. I remembered reading and loving the book from when I was a child, so I bought the book for my own children. It has been a great book to use in teaching them how to read, because it holds their interest, they want to read it because it is funny. "
Morris- Great Children's Book
This is an excellent book for children to read. Before I started Kindergarten 15 yrs. ago(I'm 20 now), my sister taught me to read this book. She was 7 yrs old and thus was attending school and I wanted to learn to read. This book, taught me a little about ABC's, counting, and what it was like to attend school...except for the moose being there of course! I remember Morris trying to hide but his antlers kept sticking out.LOL! When I finally started Kindergarten, myself and a fellow classmate Becky were the only two students capable of reading large words and regular books. I believe that this was because of the foundation layed out by this book... it made reading fun.I recommend this book and would actually like to get my hands on it if I could!
Great Moose book
Morris the moose goes to school is a great book. At first Morris does not know what the teacher is talking about because he never went to school. But then he goes to school and learns how to read and count. He isn't very smart at the first part of the book, but by the end of the book he is much smarter. He loves going to school! Morris learns a lot and YOU will LEARN alot too. I take this book in the car when we go places. I like this book because I can read it by myself. YOU will LEARN alot about Morris if you choose this book.

I grew up reading this book. Definitely one of the best children's books of all time. It has hilarious pictures and a cute story.
a great book to read out loud and laugh with your kids
We found this book in a thrift shop and it has become a favorite of my children. I wish it had been a series. We would love to have heard of further adventures of Morris.

George's Store a Memorable, Delightful Love Story
George's Store shows us how love gives depth to our whole lives. George is a man who loves his job--waiting on the customers at his general store. When a customer walks into the store, George's eyes twinkle, and he says he will guess what they want. George delights and charms his customers with this guessing game, at which he is quite good. One day, a pretty young woman walks into the store, and George sets about trying to guess what she wants. He guesses one thing after another, and each time, the young woman says, "No." "No." "No." After George has guessed every item in his store, the pretty young woman points to him, smiles, looks him directly in the eye, and takes George completely by surprise when she declares, "George, I want you!" In short order, they are shown married and living happily with their children in back of George's beloved store. As a parent, I appreciated this very positive representation of someone with an ordinary job dedicated to making his life's work extraordinary for the pleasure of himself and his customers. I was quite impressed by the modern young woman who could confidently declare what she wanted. And I appreciated the closing images of a close knit family happily interacting with each other in the apartment behind the store. I read this story to my children when they were in pre-school and elementary school, and now, at 19 and 22, it is one of the books they remember best. Recently, my daughter was describing a young man who had charmed her with his engaging manner and imaginative wit. I told her she sounded like the woman in George's Store, and she said, "Yes! George, I want you!" This book, which is now out of print, deserves to be re-issued: it's an excellent model for today's children (and adults)in many respects.

A childhood favorite
This book about a moose and a bear is a childhood favorite of mine and my sisters'. The relationship between Morris and Borris is very funny. Morris is very silly and Borris is very serious. Borris always gets very frustrated with Morris. However, they always seem to solve their differences and remain good friends in a very funny way. Their relationship reminds me alot of Ernie and Bert from Sesame Street.

Excellent humor for the early grades
How my brother and I enjoyed the Morris and Boris books when we were children. We laughed uproariously. My husband also was a big fan of the series when he was a child. I am happy to see that at least one book of the series is in print.

A Moose and a Bear
I read "Morris Tells Boris Mother Moose Stories and Rhymes" by Bernard Wiseman with my big brother. I liked that book very much. It's very funny. I liked the part where Morris the Moose tells Boris the Bear a story about four bears, putting Boris in the story, of course. The part that made me laugh was when Morris calls Boris a big fat bear in his story, and Boris shouts, "A WHAT???" Morris and Boris are an entertaining duo. I sure hope to have this book some day.

Great Book For Learning To Read
This was the first book I learned to read. The words are very easy and not long. Morris will keep you reading to find out what is going to happen next. I totally recommend this book for younger kids and I also recommend it to be one of the first books kids read.

Great light-hearted humor for early readers (and younger)
My son could not stop laughing when I first read him this book, and he requested it many times after that. Morris (the moose) can never quite get things right, and Boris (the bear) becomes quite exasperated trying to correct him. By the end of the book, Boris is pursuing Morris all over the circus tent, much to the delight of the crowd - and the reader.
This is probably the best of the "Morris and Boris" series - it gives kids an introduction to the humor of word play and just plain silliness.

A smooth ride reading!!!
The story taught me a good lesson. It showed that if you do hard work, no matter what happens, you should still appreciate it because it could turn out good in the end. It may have been a bumpy busride, but it was smooth read!
Pretty Good
This is a pretty good book. I think that kids will enjoy it. I've had it since I was a little kid. It's a real "Happily Ever After" tale. It's very ironic in the eyes of an older person. You'll see small ironies in the names. I ony havew one question: What happened to the bus driver's bus? Was it alright? Read this book and let me know your opinion
