Nice rhythm, plenty of action, and the best ending
Nice use of repetition teaches children verbs, while the action-packed pictures and hilarious expressions draw them back to the book again and again. Best ending to any children's book in a long time. My daughter likes the funny Dad, and her younger brother can't get over the complete mess in the house. I appreciate a book for children that celebrates childhood. If they don't enjoy it now, they never will!

our whole family loves this book
Just bought this book and it has already become a favorite. Our 4-year-old daughter loves it and requests it all the time. Based on a true story about a bird who causes a bit of chaos. Funny illustrations, too.

Computer Author Delights Little Kids With First Children's B
DIRTY BIRDY FEET kept the little kids thumping their heels and toes as Rick Winter read his true story about the bird with dirty feet and many others who followed suit in this delightfully funny story. White carpet says it all - as each dirty footprint messed up Mom's floor covering! Let's do it again! Oh, what fun it is!

What a hoot!
Mike's book makes me want to hit the slopes, right now. I don,t know much about the sport, but the book was a great read and informative.

WOW
My first experience in Snowboarding was Mike Fabbro's book and I love flying Cessnas at 6000 and this is the closest equivalent I have found since then! Get this book!

I never knew snow boarding could be this easy
This book was well thought out and has a simple straight forward approach. I had read an article the author had written for an airline magazine and became interested in snow boarding. I have used the techniques outlined to teach my kids how to snowboard (better then waiting for them to teach me).

Wilderness navigation
This book may be small enough to carry as a primer on land navigation for folks venturing into the wilds without knowledge or experience of map and compass skills.

However, as a text on land navigation skills it was disappointing. Better choices would be the Land Navigation Handbook: The Sierra Club Guide to Map and Compass by W. Kals (excellent) or M. Ferguson's GPS Land Navigation: A Complete Guidebook for Backcountry Users of the NAVSTAR Satellite System (also excellent).

Excellent introductory volume
I have been teaching orienteering for seven years, and this book is everything I could ask for in an introductory text. There are more advanced books, it is true, but this book is reasonably priced, highly readable, and complete enough for the beginning through intermediate adventurer.

clear, concise, complete
Clear, concise and complete guide to wilderness travel. Well written with appropriate practice problems. Excellent book which is small and light enough to be in ones pack. But you really should study the book before you go into the wilderness. Reasonably priced.

Read This and Get Head Over Heels About 'Boarding
Mr. Kennedy very thoughfully and enthusiastically conveys his deep affection for skateboarding in this under-appreciated work. His in-depth reviews of boarders, their moves and the sport itself makes it a grat read for kids and grown-ups alike.

I highly recommend this book!

just rewriting the classic "the hockey sweater"
this book is eerily like roch carrier's classic story, "the hockey sweater". the same themes occur, the same events, everything. of course, it was written 14 years later -- and, look! "hommage à roch carrier", in small type.

leave well enough alone, and write your own books; your other ones have been good, why do this?

My Leafs Sweater
Good Book. Sean Thompson's illustrations are great. ...

Great update of the classic Sweater #9
A classic theme - hockey through the eyes of a child. This time, though, too young to remember The Rocket - it's #27 Sittler and his amazing feat one night against the Bruins. Great story for both fans of the game and kids just starting to appreciate its wonders. And it's a history lesson in disguise: "Daddy, who where the Atlanta Flames?" Fantastic artwork by Sean Thompson - worthy of framing and hanging above your TV during "Hockey Night in Canada".
