My life,My find
Mommy look!Ok here's how it goes. When I was 5 I had a brain tumor, and one day I was watching TV when the hit TV show "Faimly Matters" came on.I watched it, and this amazly cute guy came on, my mom told me his name was Freddie Prinze Jr.He's been my idoil ever since. When I found out about this book I froze I was sooooo happy. Then when I read the book I was soooo happy, because it was soooo good. That now I want to order one for my cousin. The whole time I was in the hosipal I wanted to meet him soooo bad now for some reason I feel like I've met him, but I know I haven't.A long time ago when Freddie Prinze Jr was hosting TRL I called in, and got to talk to him.Yeterday I was with my dad in a Harley shop when I saw George Clooney I was soooo happy, because as he was walking past me he bumped me,and then he talked to me and touched me I was soooo excited that I wanted to go get an autograph but I thought it would be mean so I didn't but I wish I would have. And I know if that would have been Freddie Prinze Jr I probably would have died.
Graph Connections: Relationships Between Graph Theory and Other Areas of Mathematics (Oxford Lecture Series in Mathematics and Its Applications, 5)
Published in Hardcover by Clarendon Pr (1997)

Great resource for undergraduate libraries
Wilson and Beineke have compiled a wonderful volume. Each chapter outlines a topic or area in mathematics and its relation to graph theory. Number Theory, Codes, Groups, Geometry, Topology, Computing, Artificial Neural Networks, Probability & Statistics, Knots, and more are treated. There is even a section on International Finance (exchange of currencies). Wilson provides a good introduction; a brief survey of the basic concepts and definitions of graph theory. (For more detail, Wilson has a couple of other well-written introductory graph theory texts).
The chapters are well-written, although the styles can be different as each has a different author. Proofs are omitted, for the most part, and most chapters do not assume a great deal of background knowledge, but the book does get into some deep mathematics, including current areas of research.
I highly recommend this book for inclusion in undergraduate mathematics library collections or for anyone interested in graph theory and possibly doing research in the area.

Loose Jam: The Chaos We Fear and the Chaos We Need
Rave! Henry Brown, ex-jazzman Vietnam vet, was managing a record store, trying to win sweet whiskey-drinking Martha and gaining a toehold in the middle-class; but when he "...saw the one-legged man coming up the dirt road from the highway his thoughts scattered like startled birds." Henry's old bandleader and Vietnam buddy Miles Duckworth arrives, pursued by the "Policy Man", desparate for help. The moral claim Miles makes on Henry destroys his well-ordered life and draws him back into the unfinished battles of his past. A page-turner, the book hurtles toward an apocalypic conclusion. Loose Jam is powerful, visionary writing that can stand, with books like Robert Stone's Dog Soldiers, among the finest post-Vietnam literature. Wilson's experience is deep, awesome and a bit frightening. It is my sincere hope that, following the publication of Wilson's important new novel Eddie and Bella, readers, hungry for more will seek out Loose Jam and it will win the wide audience it so richly deserves.

On the Road with Bella & Eddie
This book is alternatingly heart-warming and frustrating, but isn't that life? Bella is a beautiful earth mother to whom Eddie is attracted like no other. Her drug-induced behaviors lead them to split, but he carries a torch for her. The book has some interesting levels to it. Eddie is raised with an insensitive father who refers to him a "numb nuts," gets spirituality from a New Age conquest, and then rejects God altogether. Bella goes through a series of relationships, and eventually pulls her life together. This is a wonderful episodic adventure. The book gives you the feeling that we are on a life path whether or not we are aware of it. It is a great tale recognizing that sometimes it takes time to pull your life together. Enjoy this one. It's a fast fun read!
Eddie & Bella & Me
Eddie & Bella is a remarkable book featuring two extraordinary characters whose lives are inextricably linked, whether they like it or not. Eddie is a guy to whom things came easy at first, but inconveniently, as he grows older, the life he thought he was heading toward shows up further and further away in his rearview mirror. Things never came so easy to Eddie's former girlfriend Bella, which is maybe why she's not as astonished by life's peaks and valleys. Bella could be the perfect example of a "cool mom," and if you asked her daughters Darshon and Sage, they might agree, but only if Bella could manage to tie the flailing ends of her life into a loose knot, ie. stable home, steady boyfriend, and/or a reasonably steady job. In Bella's case, two out of three ain't bad, and the missing component is never as far away as she might think.
This story is well-plotted, fast-paced and filled with terrific details and diamond sharp insights into character. Wayne Wilson's ability to transform the achy and awkward moments of life into moments of epiphany makes Eddie & Bella a soul-shaking read.

Nice, but too short
A decent biography for juveniles but far too short for anyone else (only 32 pages). Try Gary Fuller's biography about Julia (The Julia Roberts Story) if you're looking for something longer and better.
Perfect for fans in the 10-12 age group.
We gave this book to our 11-year-old Roberts fan for Christmas and she loved it. Cutting edge biography it isn't, but for younger fans of Ms. Roberts, it provides plenty to identify with and a few surprising facts.

Manipulative propoganda.
This book is faulty at its best. Besides the fact that it is speaking on a gray area of the Bible as if the author's opinion was fact, (requirements for "sound, wholesome entertainment" are not found in the Bible) it is one-sided. Avoid at all costs. It's books like this that make the general public think we as Christians have gone off the deep end. But on the other hand, if you had a lot of fun burning books from the "Harry Potter" series, this is a book for you!
Excellent, Bold Exhortation
Reverend Wilson is a bold and passionate man of God who is jealous for godliness and purity in his family, church and society. I pray for more heads of household and clergy with his backbone! I agree with the author's basic premises i.e., the necessity of submission to Christ's Lordship in our movie viewing; and that the moral decadence so pervasive in our society (Hollywood included) is the fault of Christians. We have been given a cultural mandate and have retreated from it. I agree that if Christians stopped supporting Hollywood's paganism, it would change overnight. But how much more it would
change if Christians actively worked in film to promote true beauty - God's holiness, majesty, and salvation! I was disappointed that Mr. Wilson seems to endorse the popular evangelical view that things will only get worse.
Hollywood, (like politics or education) will never produce what is godly until Christians apply the Lordship of Christ to
these areas. We need to support churches and Christian organizations that are dedicated to pressing Christ's crown rights into the arts. While I was encouraged deeply by Mr. Wilson's passion for purity in the hearts and minds of the saints,I was disappointed by his constant criticism of the
Schaeffers who just happen to have more of an "engagement view". (See chapter 4) I would have been more encouraged had there been more optimism about the future of the arts as Christians fulfill the cultural mandate in this area. As Christians we have more than just a responsiblity to watch movies that encourage our sanctification. We need to be proactive in the arts and support those who make movies that spread and celebrate the gospel of our glorious Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Then we will see not only high art, but a world where the knowledge of the Lord covers the earth as the waters cover the sea.

A must for every family with children
This book helps parents choose the right movies for their kids to see. It gives them biblical background to support their positions. It takes Hollywood to task for the type of films they make.

There's another, more detailed bio.
I must say: I got a more personal, deeper sense of Shakira (such an original talent, such a cool person) in the bio of SHAKIRA by Ximena Diego. I read it in Spanish. My assistant, in English. She is so real in Diego's portrait.
I hope this artist sticks.
good things come in small packages
This book is well informed for any age to fall in love with the singer/songwriter Shakira. Even if your not a youngster, you will find it hard to stop looking and reading outloud this book.
