When the parents split up, where do you fit in?
Andy West's parents have divorced and have started new lives with other partners. Andy is to spend one week with her mother and the "Baboon" and his miserable children. While there, she is forced to share her step-sister Katie's room, and Katie goes out of her way to make Andy miserable. On the weeks Andy stays with her dad and his "new agey" wife Carrie, she shares a room with 5 year old twins Zen and Crystal, and their mess. To add to the misery, Carrie is pregnant. The only one who understands's Andy's confusion is her constant companion Radish, a tiny toy rabbit. Radish understands how Andy misses the tiny cottage she and her parents shared. Radish understands how hard it is to make people you barely know, your family. Radish understands how hard it is to remember all your schoolwork and belongings when you stay at two places. All Andy wants is a place for her and Radish to feel at home. One day she and Radish discover a tiny, hidden garden, that they long to make their own. This is a sensitive story of divorce and one child trying to cope with events out of her control. Once again, Jacqueline Wilson has displayed an uncanny understanding of the needs of a child, and a true ear for dialog. This is a sweet book and a must read for anyone you know who has been touched by divorce.

Bags of fun - The Suitcase Kid review by B O'Problem
Andrea is a ten year old kid on the move. It's a tough decision between Mum with the Baboon or Dad and Carrie. Will she be on the move forever? The answer lies in the story. A delightful one to please the kids.

Very Realistic
This book is about Andrea (Andy) West. It is a funny, realistic and usually quite moving story! I would advise it to anyone who would give The Lottie Project 5 stars!

Great comedy!
I loved the book, "How to Survive Summer Camp". It was original, humorous, and right on the dot with feelings. I love all Jacqueline's books; right now my favourite is "Girls Out Late", which is the 3rd in the "Girls In Love" series for older readers. So, if you love a good book, read this, and all the others. Really! You wont be disappointed.

The cat mummy
Verity lives with her Gran and Granda and Dad. She also lives with an elderly cat called Mabel. This is a sad story, about the loss of a loved pet. Verity keeps the secret about Mabel the cat's death from her grandparents and father. She decides to mummify her, after learning about mummification in school. I really liked this story, and the illustrations by Nick Sharratt are brilliant and emotional as usual. :)

Connie and the Water Babies
Everybody has a fear. Connie is afraid of water. Mum is afraid of a gerbil. Dad is afraid of the dentist. Gran is afraid of the TV and the video-recorder. Everybody needs someone to help them against their fears. I found that the story was ok.

Vicky angel
Jade is best friends with Vicky. They go to school together and get into mischief alot. But something happens to Vicky (I won't spoil the story) and Jade is alone and she begins to misbehave. A good story, even if it is about saddness and living after something horrible happens. Illustrated by the amazing Nick Sharratt, I loved it and couldn't put it down. :)

This is one of the CUTEST preschool books I've ever read! 10 Little Mosters is an exceptional read for little ones--with amazing pictures and cute lyrics, it completely keeps the child's attention all the way through... I definitely think this short book is a keeper for any preschooler! :)

A Great Book
Charlotte Alice Katherine Enright (better known as Charlie) is getting to a point where life has several problems. First of all, she has no father (well, sort of. He left her and her mother when Charlie was very young), so Charlie and her mom aren't exactly the richest people, and live in a small apartment, with one bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen. Plus, her single, young mother, Joanne Enright (better known as Jo) has recently started dressing up and wearing makeup for no reason what so ever. And if that wasn't enough, she has even worse problems at school.

Charlie is starting a new year at school, and she thinks that it is going to be a great year, but she is very wrong. This year, she meets the devil: a new, extremely strict teacher named Ms.Beckworth, who ruined everything for Charlie. For example, Charlie was planning on sitting with her best friends Lisa and Angela, but instead, Ms. Beckworth put Lisa and Angela together, and put Charlie with the most irritating, snobby,smarty-pants kid in the whole class: Jamie Edwards. Plus, Ms. Beckworth assigned the class a boring Victorian project, but Charlie decided to give the project a little twist, and that's when the diary of Lottie, the Victorian nursery maid, was born. Will Charlie ever survive this year?

The cute, funny book, The Lottie Project, by Jacqueline Wilson, is an enjoyable, must-read book. I am not alone when I say, "I loved it!". This one-of-a-kind book could never relate to any other books. This book was cutely humorous, and was hard to put down. I really enjoyed the fact that Jacqueline Wilson compared a main character (Charlie) with history (Lottie). If you enjoy books that are just plainly sad, mysterious, or historical, then maybe this isn't‚ your match. But, if you are a person who enjoys a cheery story with a tint of sadness, a speckle of mystery, and a tad bit of history, then this is definitely the book for you!

A lovely book by an amazing story-teller!
Once you start reading 'The Lottie Project', you just can't stop. I bought it just yesterday from a book store and I already finished reading it. All the characters are very well-portrayed and the illustrations are amusing. Charlie is an average eleven-year-old with lot's of problems. She doesn't like her new teacher who insists on calling her by her full name, Charlotte. She is made to sit with James Edward, the snobby, goody-two-shoes rich boy. She also has to do a project on the Victorians, whom she hardly knows anything about. But Charlie gets a lovely idea to make a diary for Lottie, a young girl who is sent to work as a nurserymaid in the Victorians' time. She gets quite absorbed in the project and finds that her real life isn't much different from fictional Lottie's. First, her mom loses her good job as a manager and has to do oddjobs like cleaning people's houses and baby-sitting. But worse than that, could Charlie's mom possibly have a boyfriend? All-in-all, an amazing story very well portrayed by a master story-teller. Well worth the money!

Great book!!!
Charlotte's (aka Charlie's) 6th grade year is not coming out to a good start. Mrs. Beckworth is her not-so-great teacher who asigns the 6th graders to write a boring project about the Victorian times. But Charlie has worse problems. Her mom might be getting a boyfriend. And her best friends are getting interested in boys, while Charlie still isn't! How does Charlie survive all this? Read the book to find out. I would recommand this book to sixth graders, especially girls. This is one of my favorite Jacqueline Wilson books!

A fabulous read
I read this book at age 9 and couldn't put it down. This book is perfect for girls ages 7-10 who still have yet to master the art of reading. The story is about a girl who's parents are separated and she moves around very often. She is so witty and good- natured that she finds an adventure in every move she makes. The illistrations are simple and yet unique and I would recommend this book to any girl, around the age of 7-10.

Review of The bed and breakfast star
I read this book when I was younger, and I absolutley loved it. I'm 15 now, and I still have to say this is probably the best book I have ever read. I love all the titles by Jaqueline Wilson, but this one is my favourite. Probably because this story covers all emotion. It is at times sad, but others very funny. The main character is great, and Jaqueline Wilson captures the emotion perfectly. You can see the character clearly in your head. If this is an adult reading this review, considering buying it for a child, do! This is an excellent book, and even if your child does not like reading they will find it very hard to put this book down!

Totally and uterly excelent!!!!
It usually takes me ages to read a long book but I could not put this book down. It is one of very best books I have ever read!!!!!!!!

This book is the star of all books!!!
Elsa is a child who dosn't have much to love and somehow her spirts are always high. She has to live with this man who hits her but she just calls him a jerk and hold her head high. His name is Mac and is her step- father. He looses his job and they have to live in a sheltor which she hates but finds lots of friends. Elsa finally dicides to... oh wait I can't tell you, you have to read the book yourself! I suggest lots of children read this book!!!!

Elas is a star!
Elsa, and her family have been forced to live at a Bed and Breakfast hotel. It isn't as nice as it sounds, it is actually a homeless shelter. Elsa's mum and stepfather Mack seem to be overwhelmed by the change in circumstances, and Elsa feel it is up to her to make life bearable for them,as well as her younger half sister and brother. This is a very tender book which treats a very grim subject with warmth and humor and realism. Elsa copes with her situation by telling jokes, and her footnotes introduce the reader to the differences in language in the US and England. Once again, Jacqueline Wilson and illustrator Nick Sharrat have combined to make a delightful story that will be enjoyed by the younger reader.

an excellent book, one of Jacqueline Wilsons best!

But no body seems to appreciate them!?! This book shows the feeling of a girl who losses her home and how she copes with it. I found it an amazing book!

Girls out Late
girls out late is a very interesting book ot is about three very different girls that are friends growing up. ellie one of the girls loves to draw and and she went to the mall one day and she saw a guy in 11th grade and she fell in love just like he loved her! he was so interesting to see how 2 totally different people can make such a great couple! you sould definatly go read GIRLS OUT LATE ~~ BY JACQUELINE WILSON~~

Another Excellent Addition to the Series
When Ellie meets a Year Eleven boy in McDonald's named Russell, sparks fly between the two of them. Soon the two of them are boyfriend and girlfriend (what Ellie has always wanted), and are slowly falling in love. But when there's a miscommunication between Ellie and Russell, and Ellie thinks that he's stood her up, Nadine and Magda decide to buy tickets to a Claudie concert to cheer her up. But soon, Ellie finds out that Russell hadn't meant to stand her up, and asks her to the school dance. Unfortunately the school dance is on the same day as the Claudie concert, and if she says she can't go to the concert, Nadine and Magda will never forgive her.

This is a must read book, Jacqueline Wilson has created another writing masterpiece with "Girls Out Late."

An Interesting and romantic short story
This book is great! I loved it very much and I only spent 4 days to finish reading it. It's about 3 teen girls-Ellie,Nadine and Magda who are best friends. Ellie is plain but her 2 friends are much more prettier. However, Russell thinks she's speecial and madly falls in love with Ellie. They stay out very late at the first night they meet and they both get into trouble afterwards because their parents don't let them to stay out so late. So, they begin to have little dates after school everyday...and go home before night. This funny story is very easy to read and realistic, with the narrator of Ellie herself, a thirteen-year-old schoolgirl. I would recommend it to every teen girls. Don't hesistate to buy it!!! Also read and , they are dead hilarious too! :-)
