For the Dragon Lover in All of Us--Children and Adults
"Ignis" is fabulous dragon book. The inspirational story is all the better due to the enchanting, beautifully drawn illustrations on each page. I love reading this book to my 5-year old son as much as he loves to hear it. This is a must read and must have book for all dragon lovers: both young and old. I highly recommend the purchase.

Best Children's book
This is my daughter's most-requested book, and it is so enjoyable I truly don't mind reading it five days in a row. I can't say that for any other book we own. The illustrations are beautiful, the text is very inspired, and I like the theme of perseverance. Ignis's personality seems so real, as does the little girl Cara's. With two children, I've bought or borrowed countless children's books, and this goes at the top of my favorites list. I wish Gina Wilson and P.J. Lynch would team up for another story.

Breathtaking illustrations
One of the most delightful books I have ever come across!

No other book I have ever seen has illustrations that bring dragons to life like this one. As an artist, I had searched everywhere to find examples of expresive, interesting dragons that had a benevolent and inquisitive nature, and at the same time retained their reptilian appearance. The fact that the drawings are accompanied by such a well written story is a bonus!

An icon of the unobtainable desires of our hearts
Poor old Prowlpuss. A sweetheart at the core, yet driven by hormones, he can't help himself. He indulges himself in his passions with abandon: alley fights and prowling, yowling for the love of a distant desire. The world conspires to keep him where he is, in the beloved company of his old Nellie Smith. Prowlpuss is an icon in our home, a beloved imaginary part of the childhood of our two girls, ages 6 and 5. We have read this book in the evenings on the big bed for several years now, and can nearly recite it from cover to cover. For us, hearing the words "Prowlpuss is cunning and wily and sly, a king size cat with one ear and one eye," evokes images of our family snuggled up together. Highly recommended for its look at forlorn resignation in the face of unquenched desire, and its quiet acceptance of all the good things we already have. Children with big ol' boy cats at home will especially enjoy a visit to this tom's world.

Prowlpuss is for all ages!
I bought this book for the little girl I babysit for's third birthday. I was attracted by the rich colours of the cover illustration, the roll-off-your-tongue title and being a cat person, the subject. When I opened and read the T.S. Eliotesque rhymes, I knew I had to have it. I read it aloud in the car. My eight year-old brother loved it. My forty year-old mother loved it. Thirteen year-old me adored it and didn't want to give it up. Now, more than a year later, ordering a copy as a Christmas present for my two year-old cousin Emily, I'm also getting a copy for myself.

Caribbean Handbook by Karl Luntta
A very comprehensive and informative book on the The Virgin, Leeward and Windward Islands. It is an easy read and packed with relevant information for the tourist.

It is unfortunate that this book is no longer in print.

I am sure that a re-print would be economically viable.

Haunting
I found this book interesting, but I give it only four stars because at times it drags on and does not hold the reader's interest. This story is about a girl named Becky who meets Cora Ravenwing, a strange little girl whom everyone hates. She must choose between Cora and 'more conventionally attractive friends'. I like it because I like the character of Cora. She is spirited and satisfied with her own character although she knows she will never have any friends. The story's climax is not as interesting as it could be, but it is still a good book. I enjoyed reading about the girls' secret escapades. However, I found it hard to believe that everyone could hate a small child so much. Anyway, I found this book memorable and rather haunting. I love the ending of the book.
