The Surveyor's Bible
While preparing for my licensing exam, I read this book from cover to cover. It addresses every principle of retracement (sequential and simultaneous conveyances), public lands, and riparian issues thoroughly. The highlighted "principle" at the heading of each new topic makes remembering the main points simple. I can honestly say that every question on the NCEES exam that dealt with general principles and practice was answered in this book. I passed on my first sitting, and this book was one of the main reasons why. If you can only study one reference, this is it. Every practicing surveyor should also refer to it regularly.

Boundary Control and Legal Principals
This is the definitive work on boundary control. Technicians preparing for the SIT and PLS tests should own this book.

Brown's Boundary Control and Legal Priciples
This is a must own book for Land Surveyors, or Survey technicians.

A lavish tour of the Surreal Estate of Roller...
Roller is without a doubt one of the most gifted, imaginative, original artists I have ever encountered in my Art Journeys. Circa 1987 I saw one of his paintings, and I have been a devotee ever since. Most persons will remember him, (and remember him they will if they have ever seen one of his paintings) as the guy who paints monkeys, cats and dogs wearing clothing, and for the flying pickles, cucumbers, cigarettes and other airborne objects. But there is much more than that, much more. --- If you buy this book, you will be able to enter Roller's world at Brenda's Nut Farm, Mrs. Jenkins' house, and all the other "places". And what a world it is. Use the adjectives of your choice. I will not indulge in that here. It has to do with an Asparagus experience a young Roller had when his grandfather showed him that Asparagus...Well you figure it out. It's a strange trip indeed, but one that is worthwhile --- On the surface, at a first glance, his paintings may seems crazy and off the wall, but have a look at the technique, the painstaking attention to detail, the original ideas and, well you'll being to realize more and more that here is an artist who is...Roller --- This book is a perfect showcase. Lavishly illustrated with many beautiful color plates, well printed and well bound. It's the best Roller book there is. The text is for the most part by Roller, because only he can really explain it all. If you are lucky enough to own this book, you are fortunate indeed. It is one of my favorite art books. --- Excuse the sort of disjointed review, but this book is really beyond review, because the art is as well. If you buy, it you'll see what I mean. If you don't, stick to something safe instead.

LITERATI MIND-BLOW (his paintings speak for themselves)
STOP AT NOTHING TO FIND THIS ! You'll thank me later! Roller has an unequivocable, God-given(?) talent...those of you who know, really know. With that in mind, and for those of you who have SUPERB taste in literary entertainment and who are grateful to share the same unique appreciation for AMAZING imagination, I recommend this book. (I also personally recommend DRW's ANYTHING you can get your hands on-but this book is special...YOU'LL SEE, I got mine a few years ago in Santa Monica...keep looking, there's one out there for you too).

Wish I could.
DRW has the most distinctive and unique style of any artist of our time...I will never forget the first time I saw his work. I have purchased his art prints and previous books. I would have this one also if I could find it!

A wonderful book about dog behaviour.
In the new introduction Donald McCaig says that if this is your first time reading this book I envy you. If you're a dog person then this is the book for you.

The best book ever for training a dog as a family pet
A slim and witty volume with many anecdotes from Lorenz's work as an animal behaviorist. But the jewel in the book is a single chapter where he lays out how to train a dog so that the dog understands what you want of him. Train your dog in two weeks, 30 minutes a day.

Historically astute, and highly recommended reading
An historical novel set in the Pacific Northwest where the Willamette and Columbia rivers meet, Donald and Marilyn Bruner's The Legend Of Wappato: Chief Cassino Of The Multnomah is the story of Native American and white cultures colliding against each other in the opening decades of the 1800s. Chief Cassino had consolidated several tribes to face the intruding threats of white fur traders and settlers when in 1824, John McLoughlin set up the Hudson's Bay Company trading post at Fort George and then another one at Fort Vancouver. Chief Cassino and McLoughlin became friends and worked together to control conflict during the settlement of the Oregon Territory. But in the winter of 1830 an epidemic swept through the native villages. The result was the near extinction of a once great Multnomah tribe from the Wappato lands. Chief Cassino survived and continued to be friends with McLoughlin for the rest of their lives. The Legend Of Wappato is superbly crafted, historically astute, and highly recommended reading.

Cathy L. Kopasek/Publisher Review
This book was authored by a cancer survivor that spent hundreds of hours researching alternative treatments in order to beat his diagnosis of cancer. In this book Donald Wilson provides the reader with the results of research, therefore, making this a very resourceful publication for anyone wanting to seek alternative treatments or therapy for their illness. In his book he talks alot about Dr. Hulda Clark the author of The Cure For All Cancers and The Cure For All Advanced Cancers. This book can save alot of research time for those that may not have very much time to waste on finding a possible cure.

Bastards, Nannies and Murderers
This is a lexicon of sleaze, from Fatty Arbuckle to suburban brothel-owners, British double agents, illegitimate children, card-cheating, murderers of nannys, inconstant Queens and playboy princes. A wonderfully voyeuristic work; a reference book for the gossip or muckraker.

Use more of your mind!
I have read many books about self improvement and positive thinking. This book is very easy to understand. You learn to visualize and use the power of you mind.

Unlock your true abilities
I read this book in the early 1980s, and implemented some of the astoundingly easy techniques outlined therein. Mr. Wilson incorporates progressive relaxation and self hypnosis with positive affirmation and autosuggestion. The end result is that the reader learns to clearly focus on his/her most important life goals, and then devotes some very powerful sleep and relaxing time to conditioning his/or her mind to move toward those goals. If you are an athelete, a performer, or just want to change or develop yourself in ANY way, Donald Wilson's book is A MUST. My copy of this book was stolen from the trunk of my car along with some other valuable posessions, and I am finally replacing it. The progressive relaxation scripts alone are worth the price of the book.
