inspirational for student activists!
This compilation documents the disturbing trend of so-called "Corporatization" in US Higher Education...includes articles & commentary by Ronnie Dugger of "The Texas Observer" and by Ralph Nader, as well as by student activists themselves, documenting their successes and failures in combating "Corporatization" and struggling to make universities more deomcratic. If you liked David F. Noble's _Digital Diploma Mills_, you'll love this book. If you buy this book and have never heard of David Noble, read up on him also! Likewise, this book makes a nice companion piece to any number of books by Stanley Aronowitz on Higher Ed, especially his books _The Knowledge Factory_ and _The Last Good Job In America_.
Essential reading for exploited graduate students, academic librarians, part-time adjuncts, and all members of academia's proletarians.

The Authoritative Book on the Corporatization of Education
Thanks to Geoffry White for putting together this book.

Excellent review and reference
This atlas provides clear color photos highlighting the classic presentations of pathological lesions in and around the oral cavity. The text descriptions are a bit brief in some cases, but references are provided for further reading. I find it to be an excellent review and reference.

One of the Best Books For Young Children on this Topic!
My daughter (toddler) got this book for Christmas, and asks for us to read it again and again. She also enjoys looking at the beautiful illustrations all by herself.

The book explains what every kindergarten student should know about the Presidency by using animals to grab the attention of young readers. It is not over simplified, leaving plenty of room for questions and looking up supplimental information.

There are not a lot of resources for parents who have very young children interested in government. The books in this series are very age-appropriate and informative. Even if your child is not specifically interested in government, it is a good story with some beneficial information.

Great book!!
Woodrow, the White House Mouse and the whole series are fantastic. Illustrator, Cheryl Shaw Barnes does an amazing job of bringing the White House to life with her beautiful watercolor and ink drawings. The rhyming text in each of the books is hilarious and instructive. These books will stay in our family library forever - treasures all!

All About the Presidency
Peter and Cheryl Barnes have taken the stuffiness out of the office of the presidency and written a picture book full of solid information that's perfect for youngsters 4-8 years old. Told in rhyme, Woodrow G. Washingtail's administration parallels that of his human counterpart. From his inauguration to work in the oval office, from sending bills to congress and meeting with foreign heads of states, to hosting the Easter egg roll and artistic events in the East Room, Woodrow explains how the president does his job. Cheryl Barnes' charming, detailed illustrations show actual White House rooms, furnishings and decor and Woodrow's first lady Bess is even wearing Mamie Eisenhower's gown, at the inauguration ball. At the end of the book, there are historical notes for teachers and parents, about the presidency and White House, to help expand discussions and lessons. Woodrow the White House Mouse is a delightful book, chock full of fun facts, history, and amusing descriptions that kids will find interesting and enjoy again and again.

Lacks on indepth information
I bought this book because of the good online ratings and the timely publishing date. It is well written and easy to understand. The annoying thing about it is, that you cann't find any information you could not find in TechNet or the online documentation! If you have already used the Windows 2000 security features and search for additional information this book will not cover your needs.

Feel Secure
I am responsible for our company's migration to Windows 2000, and implementing and maintaining security procedures is obviously a huge part of this task. Win200 includes so many new security features (Kerberos, PKI, etc.), you really need significant resources to understand them all. The authors of this book obviously know their stuff and have spent some serious time researching this book.

Has all the juicy details
I bought this book because I wasn't able to make much sense out of the stuff in TechNet regarding how security worked in Windows 2000. I was pleasantly surprized to see that all the things I was wondering about, like IPSec and the Security Configuration Manager and Kerberos were covered in a way that I could understand and use on the job. I've seen the shinder's write on the mailing lists and newsgroups, and was happy to see they write books as good as they write emails. I recommend this book to anybody needing to get a handle on Windows 2000 security.
