Whealey ist verrückt!
Before you buy this book, keep in mind some facts about Robert Whealey:

1) His personal hygiene is poor. He maintains a constant foul-smelling body odor. Somedays, his normally white hair has a yellowish hue to it. People make a point not to stand too close to him while he is eating, for fear of being bombarded with food particles.

2) At public lectures, he asks the most ridiculous questions (such as "does the Brezhnev Doctrine really exist?" when he teaches International Diplomacy and should know better).

3) He wanders the college and town like a homeless beggar. His pants are usually barely clinging to his posterior, and he has accidentally mooned more than one person.

Thus, the book may be fine, but the man is just a fruitcake.

A Great Book By A Great Political Thinker!
...
Hitler and Spain is a very good book and is also very well researched. After reading it, I learned about many events and key people in the Spanish Civil War that I was not aware of prior to reading Hitler and Spain. Also, the footnotes at the end of the book are very well documented and are worth taking a look at. Dr. Whealey, if you are reading this in Athens Ohio, my hat is off to you for writing such a wonderful book. I am very excited about your new book on the American intervention in kosovo coming out this year.

A book bridging the gap between two nations' history
This book describes Nazi Germany's involvement in the Spanish Civil War. The author, Professor Whealey, has written much about Nazi Germany's relation with Spain. The book explains the reasons behind Hitler's decision to intervene. It also describes the military situations. The best part of the book gives a general overview and analysis of how Germany's intervention in Spain affected the two countries and the international situation. Overall, it's a great and thorough book that analyses as much as it describes.
