Not Just For Chicks!!
Most sequels don't live up to the original but Sam does. I'm not a big fan of romance stories, but Charly and Sam have both won a place in my heart. I've read each book probally 4-5 times. This is a story that everyone can relate to. If you havn't read Charly make sure you read that first.

Oh my goodness!
I thought that Charly was sad, but this made me cry so much!
Sam is Jack Weyland at his very best, this book is a must read!

WOW!
I've always loves Jack Weylands books, but this one is beyond good. Sam, and it's sequel, Charly are so tear-jerking. Everytime I read Sam, I cry. Give it a try.

"A New Dawn" widening horizons
A new Dawn was an awesome story (what a suprise) by Jack Weyland. I loved this book because it was not only enjoyable but it also taught a lesson. It teaches the reader to think of everyone as just somone. Jack Weyland showed me through his novel that those who "own" fame, for whatever reason are as simple as i am. i try hard to not judge people to quickley now and try not to think of somone as famous rather than "somone who grabed people's attention." Read this- book. its a great story while sneaking in a little lesson. ENJOY!

This is one of the best books ever written.
I think that this is one of Jack Weyland's best books. It is my favorite among all his books. It is about a famous woman that wants to escape from the media. She does so by going to BYU University. She pretends that she is a Mormon like most other people there. She falls on love with a mormon man, but he breaks up with her once he finds out that she had been lying to him all along. Read this story and find out what happens to a famous Nobel Prize winner with a broken heart.

Sara, Whenever I Hear Your Name

It's the best LDS novel I've ever read
Travis and Sarah are the best characters Weyland has ever developed. I can't think of a better book. I recommend it to all my friends. It's not sappy and silly like some of his books. It's a story that rings true for anyone that has tried to do what's decent.

What a heart-wrenching book!
This book is one of the very few that has made me sob-out-loud. It was so fantastically written, and such real-life characters with real-life problems. It was about Sara, who was sexually abused by her step-father, and is now pregnant, and the one boy who befriends her. It was so heart-felt! I could really get into the story. It was really really good.

New York???
I thought Jack Weyland was a sheltered, happy-go-lucky, LDS guy. I thought his books were a little cheezy and were for little girls. Then I read Cheyenne in New York. It was one of the greatest books I've read this year. And I'm in college! He depicted the characters feelings well, and there were unexpected twists in the story. I've had the privilege of having Jack Weyland as my LDS Bishop, and have come to know him. He is an awesome person with a lot of stories to tell, and he tells them well. This book is amazing...not the typical Jack Weyland book! I would reccomend it to anyone of any age...

WHY IS THIS BOOK OUT OF PRINT!!!
I thought this book was charming and hilariously funny. And it gave hope to pathetic college students like me. Jack writes a tender and funny story about a guy who manages to find the girl of his dreams, and nearly loses her. Although this theme is found in nearly every one of Jack's books, his imagination and wit in keeping them fresh and origional make all of his books worth reading. I can say I wanted to tear my hair out at some of the stupid things the characters in this book do, a good indication that I was firmly drawn into it. So join The Last of the big time Spenders, and laugh your way through this book.

Another Great Jack Weyland Book
This book is an excelent book! The back of the book reads, "Megan is not exactly telling the truth. She's been dating a nonmember, and that relationship has become the most important thing in her life. Kurt is a dream - handsome, carefree, and rich. He has a way of making even the most forbidden things seem fun and innocent, and Megan can hardly believe that of all the girls he could date, Kurt has chosen her. But things are not always what they seem, and Megan is in way over her head. Exploring difficult emotions and decisions that follow wrong choices, Jack treats a timiely issure with both seriousness and hope. He shows how, in a world increasingly obsessed with sex, the real road to safety and happiness is the straight and narrow path of the gospel of Jesus Christ." This book show a problem many people in the world find and shows the long, painful(but rewarding) path of repentence and forgivness. This is an excelent book! I recomend it for everyone.

The Understudy

Another very sensitive portrayal for Jack Weyland
It's a LDS novel! The back of the book says: "with the cameras going, I looked down at the man. Scabs covered his face and eyes. I found myself wondering what Jesus saw in that blind beggar..."Cut!" Ben called out."Michael, what's the delay here? You're suppose to touch the man's eyes and heal him."
The next time I did it right. But for that tiny instant I felt as if I were looking at someone the way Jesus did, with unconditional love. Michael Hill doesn't consider himself a religious man-but the leading role about Jesus of Nazareth is too tempting to turn down. As he studies the Savior's life, he begins to learn about compassion and forgiveness and finds new meaning in family relationships."
Thsi story is about the actor mostly, very sensitive, love story also an LDS conversion story. If you like the others, you'll love this one. The job as an actor involves the protrayal of Jesus for the movie. I was very touched as the guy learn about Jesus so he could become Him and what this does to the relationships in his life.

Jack Weyland - Five Complete Novels
This book of five novels is fantastic!!! It has Brenda at the Prom, Kimberly, The Understudy, A New Dawn and Pepertide. Each of these novels are excellent. With the five books in one you can just keep reading, going from one book to the other. To review each novel is just as difficult as picking a favourite Jack Weyland book. All I can say is that the 5 complete novels were brilliant! Well worth a read!

Emily

Weyland does not disappoint
Okay, maybe this wasn't as good as "Charlie," but "Emily" is still a delightful book. The story is of that of Emily and Austin. Austin is the best friend of Emily's brother, and her lifelong crush. Austin leaves on his mission, burdened by his parents' high expectations. Emily goes off to college to become a tv anchorwoman, but suffers a tragic accident. Both characters are delightful and realistic, people you could get to know. The book is, at times, serious and spiritual, but as always, the author makes us all laugh with the humor he throws in. "Emily" is a wonderful lesson about what a servant in Christ really is. So read it!

A Great Jack Weyland Book
This is a great book. Every time I read another Jack Weyland, I love his writing even more. The inside cover reads,"Nineteen-year-old Emily Latrell has always been infatuated with her brother's best friend, Austin Brunswick. But Austin is two years older than Emily and just home from his mission. He's always had other girlfriends, and though Emily has grown up dramatically during his absence, she can't imagine the handsome returned missionary having any romantic interest in her. Especially not after her tragic experience. Clearly, the attention that he pays he is the result of a promise he made to her brother, Jeremy, and she decides to give Austin the brush-off. But it's not that easy to change your heart. Jack Weyland's latest book about young love and overcoming adversity is filled with spiritual insight, fun, and romance. You'll fall in love with Emily and wonder what it's going to take for Austin to see the light. Theirs is a story you won't soon forget." I simply adored this book!!! I really cried through the whole book. This is a great book.

it's wonderful
