Toddler fun
My 2.5 year old son loves this. We make up our own stuff to spy and don't really use the riddles(yet). This is kind of similar to his earlier favorite book(My first word book) which I also recommend. They both have taught him many new words.

I love these books!!!
I agree totally with the review from the reader saying " this is a MUST have for the home library ". Our home library has every I Spy book. We love these books. I Spy: a Book of Picture Riddles is a great one to start your collection. As my children 10, 8, and 5 started very young with this book. These books encourage your child to think, to learn, and to explore while they do this with fun and enjoyment. I cannot rave about these books enough because each time you open one up you have a new experience. You will enjoy the many hours of entertainment and time spent with your child as well.

This book is a MUST for the home library
I bought several (Marzollo) I Spy books for my son when he was 3. Now he's almost 5 and they are still his favorite. Now, my daughter, age 2, enjoys them also. The books have large pages, each consisting of a big photograph of intricately laid out objects. The pictures are clever enough to be enjoyable to adults as well as children of almost any age. Probably the greatest thing about these books is that they never get old. My son and I still discover things that we never noticed in 2 years of looking at the pictures. Even once you solve the poetic riddles in the books, you can make up your own challenges. I usually read the book with both children at my side and see if they can find the things that I spy. It is easy to give them age appropriate challenges - I will give my son something hard to find and give my daughter something easier.

All the books are great, though you will see the same pages appear in different books. The computer games are also good.

The best bunch of Christmas stories I've ever read.
I couldn't put it down. The stories are without exception warm and meaningful. I am giving this book to my grandchildren. Sharing these stories is sharing the best of Christmas with them.

A Great Holiday Addition!!
This is a great Christmas Book to add to your Christmas book collection. The stories in this book are inspirational and full of the Christmas spirit. This is a book that the entire family will enjoy!!

The Best of Christmas
Most collections of stories, Christmas or otherwise, have a bunch of mediocre selections, a few good ones, and one or two great ones--but this book manages to have ALL great ones. Plus, they're not those sappy ones that make you roll your eyes; they're touching without being obnoxious. Maybe it's because almost all of the stories are true experiences, told in a straightforward way. My personal favorites are "The Gold and Ivory Tablecloth" by Howard Schade, "A Christmas Gift I'll Never Forget" by L.D. Hummel, and "My Christmas Miracle" by Taylor Caldwell. Okay, also "How Santa Spread Cheer Without Eight Tiny Reindeer," by Rip Rense. (I'm a school teacher, and I'm going to read some of these to my third graders in December.) Enjoy the joy!

THE BAKER BIBLE HANBOOK FOR KIDS
ALL CHILDREN WOULD ENJOY READING THE BIBLE IF THEY KNEW OR HAD A CLUE OF SOMETHING TO LOOK FOR. WELL THIS BOOK DOES THAT. IT ALSO TELLS THEM WHY THAT CERTAIN BOOK WAS WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE, TELLS THEM WHAT TO PAY ATTENTION TO WHILE READING THROUGH THE BIBLE, OLD & NEW TESTAMENT. I THINK THEOLD TESTAMENT GETS A LITTLE BORING FOR OUR YOUNG ONE, THIS BOOK WILL HELP THEM, BECAUSE OF WHAT I SAID ABOVE. I
COULDN'T PUT ITDOWN MYSELF WHEN IT CAME, & I AM FAR FROM THE AGE OF A CHILD. I DO HOWEVER: WISH I HAD THIS WHEN I TAUGHT SUNDAY SCHOOL YEARS AGO. ... IT IS A VERY GOOD HELP BOOK!

THE BAKER BIBLE HANDBOOK FOR KIDS
A WONDERFUL BOOK, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN AND I AM FAR FROM THE AGE OF A KID. THIS BOOK WOULD BE PERFECT HELPING OUR YOUNG ONE UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE. IT GOES THROUGH EACH BOOK, TELLS WHAT TO WATCH FOR, WHAT THE PURPOSE OF EACH BOOK OF THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN' FOR, POINTS OUT THE IMPORTANCE OF EACH PERSON. IT IS JUST THE BEST BOOK YOU COULD GET FOR OUR YOUNG ONES.I WISH I HAD THIS WHEN I TAUGHT SUNDAY SCHOOL. IT IS VERY WELL PUT TOGETHER& WILL MAKE READING THE BIBLE MORE INTERESTING, I THINK IT WILL KEEP A CHILD INTERESTED TO READ MORE & MORE, BECAUSE IT ENCOURAGES THEM TO LOOK FOR CERTAIN THINGS. IT WAS WORTH EVERY THE PRICE!!

Simply Beautiful
This is an illustrated version of how the Christian missionaries tried to teach the story of the Nativity to native American Indians (in what is now Eastern Canada, I think). This book is the illustration of a beautiful song, telling of the birth of Jesus, with musical notation in the back so you can also learn and sing the song. The words of the song are given in English, and also an older version of French and of the native Indian language in which the missionaries were working.

It is a beautiful book and has a wonderful peaceful quality, like snow on a winter's morning. Very nice for the Christmas season.

A new/old Christmas story
In a world where we must be careful how we approach the holidays in our clasroom, I found the Huron Carol to follow curriculum guidelines and enchant the reader as well. The illustrations are mystical and haunting in the blues of winter. The story is old, but we listen with new ears to the lovely tale of a Christmas in the far north. A welcome addition to any classroom.

The Most Fascinating Book I Have Ever Read
"Kisses from Hanna" is a MUST-read for ANYONE
interested in World War II era history. It
tells a realistic story via letters from one
pen pal to another, a concept that has
escaped Hollywood for over 50 years. However,
it won't be long before this book is a movie,
too.

Of course, I could be biased. The woman to
whom the letters are addressed is my very own
great aunt Ruth, perhaps the kindest woman to
ever walk the face of the earth.

An Exceptional Reader
This is the best reader I've seen for composition students--it could be used for classes in popular culture as well. The selections are both interesting and thoughtful, with quite a depth in their analyses of various topics. Students will find immediate applications to the ways they think about themselves and the world. Similarly, the commentaries are as well-written and interesting as the choice of articles (and worth reading by themselves, even). The questions and projects at the end of each section offer a wide range of ideas, from everyday classroom questions to more challening projects.

This book is for BEGINNERS
I was disappointed with the purchase of this book, it is for folks just starting out in banner making.

The Best of the Best
As a beginner in banner making, this book proved to be just what I needed to start what has blossomed into a large banner ministry. There is a wealth of information on the purpose, design, construction, display and storage of worship banners as well as pages of creative designs and suggested color schemes. It remaims my favorite in a growing library of banner books.

great teaching book
I have owned this book for several years and have made many of the banners shown. I have found it to be "my Bible of Banner books". Each banner is explained as to the season of the church year and each has great quality artwork. Thank you, Caro Jean Harms, for a great teaching guide.

Good source for Who trivia answers
For many years, Jean-Marc Lofficier was the only Who fan putting together good non-fiction books on Doctor Who. The Databank is an encyclopedia on all the people and places found in the Whoniverse (pre-novels, anyway). Well researched and complete. Casual Who fans will enjoy learning about obscure characters and place names.

Necessity, simply a necessity
A necessary addition to any home or business resource collection, Modern English Usage is comprehensive and yet lucid. The didactic nature of the information is not clouded or obscured with elevated diction; no nonsense answers to everday questions about effective writing and speaking. For me it was the examples in the text that truly helped. My questions were specific, and the answers were easy to find and understand based on the multiple scenarios and examples for each. Seeing the correct answer often makes the difference. If you are an individual who relies on writing and speaking--there are very few who don't--then this is something you want sitting on the office shelf. I would recommend this to everyone wishing to both improve their writing and speaking, but also to those who use these mediums of communication on a daily basis. As one of my teachers once said, "It's ok to be ignorant, just don't display it."
