I love this book and have read it over and over.
This is a wonderful book about a very inspirational potter who lived in Syracuse, N.Y., around the turn of the century. Much of her work is found in the Everson Museum now because she dared promote herself and ask them to buy her work. The book is filled with beautiful pictures of works such as the Scarab Vase, the Crab Vase, and many, many others. Adelaide left recipes for her glazes so that porcelain artists might take her experiments further. I have tried them and altered them and am greatful to her for sharing them. Also interesting are the pictures of Adelaide's home and studio, which are still in Syracuse, although not open to the public. This woman is very inspiration in the way she led her life, from opening an art school for the children, to publishing her Keramic Magazine, and especially for the porcelain for which she is so well known. If you are a porcelain artist today, you will probably really like this book.

wonderful pictures and cataloghe of AAR's work.
This book contains a wonderful collection of photographs in black and white and in color. Included are also photographs of AAR's house and photographs of her with well known art potters of her day. You will also find some interesting remarks by her husband describing what she went through to create crystalline glazed porcelain.
