What an experience!
This masterpiece by Doctor Victor of Hamilton High School is the primary example of what makes modern literature so great. Replete with exciting sequences, surprise twists and turns, rich diction, and tone changes, this mystery book has had a gigantic impact on me. Its eloquent account of the adventures of Holmes and Watson, with their searing downfalls and courageous successes, proves once again that Hamilton High School is the greatest school ever and that Doctor Victor is the best teacher ever. No, I don't need an A (I graduated in 1998); all I want is to pay homage to the great author of the suspensful thriller. Doctor Victor, We remember you and love you. I think this goes for everyone.

The Best!
I'm in Dr. Victor A.P. class and although I haven't read the book the plot and story line sound interesting. I will soon buy the book and add it to my collestion of books which will be a pleasure to have. Get one of the best books of the 20th century. Hey all in the class and to you Dr. Victor! This should be an "A" in the class, don't you think Dr.Victor. Per.3 "01"

One of the greatest books i have never read
Dr. Daniel Victor is one of the greatest authors of the 20th century. His use of diction and syntax in all the right place makes The Seventh Bullet enjoyable to read. Also I am in his AP English class and could really use a good grade in that class. Whatever my fellow classmate Mike said is all true. Casey Per. 3 '01

New Zealand HIAI Monthly email Newsletter <nzhemp@es.co.nz>
This is a monumental effort, 220 page plus book well laid out and researched with heaps of references and an easy to follow index of pests and diseases plus biological solutions as the title indicates. Members may recall that John McPartland in fact all the authors were very helpful to NZHIAI some time back regarding MAF's (Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries) request for information regarding industrial hemp pests and diseases. By NZ standards this book is quite pricey (NZD 150-00 plus landed) That said I would suggest if you are re serious regarding growing industrial hemp this book will become as it is rapidly for me "Your bible." There is so much information my head is spinning. It is attractively bound and could well become a collectors item. No problems with NZ customs. In a word it is BRILLIANT. A credit to the authors. It can be obtained from the website below. Only took a week to get here.

Review from CC Archives <cannabis@overload1.baremetal.com>
Hemp diseases and pests An amazing new tome on cannabis cultivation. from CC On-line, by Pete Brady

Here's the perfect recipe for a book about cannabis: use three authors who have spent decades studying cannabis horticulture, combine them with an international publishing company, and give them enough resources to create an oversized book with professional citations, illustrations, and binding.

This perfect recipe has produced a gorgeous new book, HEMP DISEASES AND PESTS - MANAGEMENT AND BIOLOGICAL CONTROL. The authors - Dr. John McPartland, Robert Connell Clarke, and David Watson - are premier marijuana researchers whose credibility and breadth of knowledge are legendary.

McPartland is a medical doctor, botanist and cannabinoid researcher. Clarke is the author of two epic texts, MARIJUANA BOTANY and HASHISH!. Watson runs HortaPharm, the Dutch cannabis breeding consortium supplying specialty cannabis to UK med-pot research projects conducted by GW Pharmaecuticals.

HEMP DISEASES AND PESTS is a fascinating, practical book, and an upcoming issue of CANNABIS CULTURE will give a more complete summary of its features. For the purposes of this brief online review, however, I assure you that this book will significantly increase yield, efficiency and quality for any marijuana grower who follows its advice.

The book includes photos that help growers diagnose dozens of plant dysfunctions, including enemy insects, mites, mammals, and fungi, environmentally-caused problems, overwatering, and nutrient deficiencies. It tells growers how to protect their crops using biocontrols instead of toxic chemicals. It describes ideal soil components, harvesting guidelines, and curing procedures.

Although HEMP DISEASES AND PESTS is not intended as a "grow book" that focuses on lighting, security, and clandestine techniques, its scope, accuracy and detail make it an incomparable textbook that every marijuana grower should have. It is interesting and entertaining, immaculately presented and organized, and features the most innovative and reliable techniques for keeping your plants healthy and happy.

HEMP DISEASES AND PESTS is a large, 251 page, professional book with a professional price. It's well worth it. When I grew my own marijuana, I was often puzzled by plant problems. If I'd had this book, I could have easily eliminated those problems. HEMP DISEASES AND PESTS will likely increase the yield of your garden by at least 50%- if that's not worth, I don't know what is!

overwhelmingly thorough
Having only been able to get an overview of this imposing tome, I came away thorougly impressed. for by far the most comprehensive book on the subject, this book should become indispensable. in a field dominated by the likes of ed rosenthal and jorge cervantes, it's nice to see a work that's more academic than either e.r. or j.c. are inclined to churn out (not that they don't provide a great service to the public as well!) if you've got the time, and are serious about cultivation, this work will resolve a lot of nagging questions and issues you might have in a professional, well-organized fashion.

Very good!
I really enjoyed this audio - very well written and the reading was excellent, too.

Sexy and well-written.
I really enjoyed this audiobook. It's extremely literary (something often lacking in the erotica genre), and also very sexy. A very believable tale about a young woman's sexual coming of age. Definitely recommended.

solid
Very challenging and thought provoking. It is also a good source to refer back to. If you are teaching a class or working with someone on an individual basis, this is the book to use.

Called and Committed
This is one of the most challenging and exciting books I have ever read. David Watson pulls no punches in his study of discipleship. Many authors stop short of brining the full measure of accountability. Watson brings you to the place where true life changing decisions are made and encourages you to complete the process (no matter how it may challenge you). Watson is a modern day Watchman Nee.

Honest questions, challenging answers
David Watson's honest reactions as he fights cancer are not just for those who are dealing with illness. They are for all of us who struggle with fear and faith. As I read this book, I remembered another David's difficult times recorded in the Book of Psalms. That David always ended an emotional cry by looking into the face of God and trusting. In the depths of crisis David Watson finds a love relationship with God which does not deny a difficult reality, but which carries him through. This book has greatly encouraged me.

Great source of encouragement and comfort.
David Watson candidly shares his journey from "life to life" in a comforting and encouraging manner. With the Lord as his travelling companion, Watson reveals the most important pursuit given to humanity - to seek God's face.

A good introduction
I used this book in a practical course in medicinal chemistry. Although we had a series of other suggested texts, this was by far the best book we used. Its written clearly and would be fine for a beginning student. The sample problems are nicely worked out and they don't assume that you know everything already. It doesn't do the most thourough job of explaining the theory behind the experimental approaces, but it would suffice for a beginning course in med chem.

A practical approach to pharmaceutical analysis
Being worked with the author myself I am maybe a bit too partial to write this review. However, since the book has had no review so far, I felt compelled to write something. This book is full of good practical examples of instrumental methods applied to pharmaceutical analysis, writen by someone who had taken the time to actually DO most of the experiments from which the book is based. Not deep into theory, but very good for those seeking practical and sound advice.

A beautiful book
This is one of our families favorite books. My 16 month old son just loves it. In simple, flowing sentences and wonderfully painted portraits, the beauty in each and every person is made evident. And best of all is the mirror on the last page that asks, "what is beautiful about you?"

Awesome Gift Idea
Finding the beauty in yourself is a gift that this book bestows...Maryjean and David Avery help all people celebrate...celebrate how beautiful each and every person is by giving this book...I give it to celebrate newborns, and those awfully hard 30, 40 & 50 milestones!!!!

The Boy...Behind the Door

The boy behind the door
This book not only helped me but it changed me. Being quite like the author I believe that people that go through traumatic experiences should do the best that they can to pick themselves up and go on with life as best they can. It is true. Darkness is the touch of death and would be extremly hard to deal with if you were in the same situation. David Bisson is a very forgiving man and should be known as that sort of person. He rose above his past and went on. People do not apresiate what they have until they don't have it anymore. They don't realise how fortunate they really are until they read something like this. People get sick of each other and wish that they never see them again. This is natural but I think that this book should begin to show others what some people's lives are really like. Mental pain will always be more powerful than physicall. David faught for the acceptance of his parents, the acceptance of his brother, the acceptance of his peers and the acceptance of the darkness. DARKNESS KILLS...

Covers more than needed, which can be both good and bad
This book is excellent for anyone with little programming expericence. If you have ZERO experience, then I recommend starting with on of the "...for Dummies" books first, as the terminology in this book may be hard to grasp at first. But if you're moving over from C++, Java, or VB, this is a great place to start. In fact, this book contains much more needed for just beginning, and by the end of the read you should be able to write a full-fledged Windows app with little problems.

The downsides of the book are few, but important to note. First off, the author doesn't spend enough time visually describing how OOP (object oriented programming) works. Before you know it, you'll be diving into classes, methods, delegates, and events before fully understanding basic concepts. Chapters 9-12 are by far the most difficult in the book to follow. Most everything else is cake. Also, because the book is just loaded with information, it may be hard for a beginner to differentiate from a beginners topic and a more advanced topic that you may never use.

Overall the book is a great read and I recommend it for anyone who wants to jump into C#. I easily finished it within less than a month with a pretty sound basic knowledge of what C# is about. After reading this, I recommend buying Professional C# (Second Edition) from WROX along with The C# Reference book they also put out. With those three books, you have a foundation to do just about anything you can think of.

Great book but remember it's designed for beginners
Great book if your are new to programming. However, it is, just like the title implies, designed for beginners. If you have any C++ or Java experience you might want to skip this book and go straight to Professional C#.

Beginning c# as easy as pie
I purchased the 'visual blueprint for c# 'first went thru it
in three weeks. This book was like the dummies and then
I bought 'the "begining c#' and went through it like
lightning.
This is the best book I see for getting you on yur feet with no
programming experience and the examples were certainly
very easy to follow.
I have no complaints.
