Finally an option book to be proud of
Mr. Walker is clear and concise in his depiction of how the options markets work. He details various strategies and makes options investing understandable to those new to it.

In my 11 years as a futures investor, broker, and author, I have never seen someone with as much grasp of options investing as Mr.Walker and have the capability to explain it.

An excellent Book
Comprehensive, simple, full of examples - worth the money.

Anyone Can Understand !
Yes, As a beginner I can confidently say I know what option is, it's uses and the risk involve. The Author did not only explain the principle but gave practicable example everyone can relate to. All in simple and plain English, you don't need to have been to a school of economy to know what an option is. With the help of this book, I can't look stupid when others uses terminologies relating to option. Keep up the good work Joseph.

A small gem is sparkling bright !
Leverage Your Time, Balance Your Life I found a nice, little, motivating and easy to read book with a lot of practical and sound advise. The author covers topics such as making time to dream, for priorities, healing, freedom, fitness, romance, family, work, fun, spirit and reading. Definitely a book to re-read and refer to from time to time. Enjoy!

Fantistic Must Have Book
This has to be one of the best motivational books I've ever read. It is short, to the point and funny (just where it needs to be). I would highly suggest this book to anyone looking to balance his or her life. I found the book to be extremely motivational.

Great Book
I've read this book many times and I find it to be very helpful with managing daily life stressors.

Break His Neck!
This is a fascinating, well written book about the John Walker spy ring. The author does a great job giving the gory details about what it was that this guy did and how he finally got caught. It is amazing how a simpleton like Walker can get into a position of such authority. A breach of security on this level can really affect the lives of the young men and women serving in our military, to say nothing of our national security. I am not sure they can really come up with an appropriate punishment for a guy like this. The book also gives you insight into the workings of the KGB and the details about how these espionage operations work. You will enjoy it.

Very Interesting Book
What a scumbag, if spying against our country was not bad enough, this complete waste of a man drags his family and friends into it. All for like $ 1 per page, how did someone this dumb get into the position he was in to do so much harm? The story is very interesting, I could have even written the story and it would be entertaining. Luckily that did not happen and the author did a great job. He constructed the details and time line very well and easy to follow. The explanations of what info Walker was giving out was also presented well. If you are interested in this area then I would suggest getting this book, it is well worth the time and money.

The Best "non-fiction" Spy Book I Have EVER read
I don't need 1000 words on this one......It's so damn good that I called in sick for 2 days (of course I was'nt sick). But no...literally folks, this is one of those "can't put it down" type books.....Bill Goldstein ...... billgold1@visto.com ................

I'd love to get some e-mail opinions on this

Just plain fun!
I discovered "The Garden Planner"...It is a fun book, hardback (with a spiral bound flipbook inside.) The flip-pages are divided into 4 sections allowing you to mix and match varieties of plants, shrubs, and trees to your hearts content! Each selection is numbered and a description is given (with information on blooming period and planting guidelines.) It is just plain fun to do. It's an interesting format, and provides lots of information for the "plan-minded" gardener. Really a "fun" flower book!

Best Overall Garden Book
This book is wonderful for all levels-- beginning gardeners to experts. I have an extensive gardening library and this is by far the most "user friendly". The pictures help to identify plants and they also suggest other plants to accompany your selection, so I always take it to the nursery with me as a resource. It's also durable and can be left in the dirt without damage. One warning, however, check your index because mine is a mis-print and the last page is missing, replaced by a duplicate first page. Despite this flaw, I plan to buy more as gifts.

Very Useful and Fun Flip-Book
This is the most amazing garden planning book, presented in a way so simple (and even "retro"). Each page is divided into four flip sections, and you can visually mix and match flowers and shrubs to see how they'd look next to each other in your garden. The back of each picture has full planting information which makes planning even easier. Buy this book for yourself, and then order more copies as gifts for your friends!

Great motivator!
I picked this journal up for a friend for Christmas. When I got home I was thumbing through it and wanted to keep it for myself. She loved the journal. It has great opening lines to get you to think about what is really important. She is uplifting and lighthearted and most of all funny. Now I am ordering one for myself.

A REAL JOY TO READ!!
Wow - A real affirmation that life is attitude and attitude is a choice no matter what happens. As Barbara says "Pain is inevitable but misery is optional"

Love that Pontiff!
Being one of PJP's biggest fans I was on tenterhooks to find out how the holy father starts his day and boy oh boy I wasn't dissapointed.
This booki is jam packed with amusing anecdotes like the time the holy father met Rabbi Lionel Blue for coissants and prune juice on the Mary Magdalene verranda overlooking St Peter's Square.
The good Rabbi presented the pontiff with a glass case containing the foreskins of celebrity jews including Sammy Davis Junior and Dana International.
Oh how I laughed - Papal Bull? I thought I'd had a cow!
I found it holy enjoyable and I hope the sales are mass-ive.

Are lunch and dinner available as well?
I'm not Catholic but I was really looking forward to reading this book and I have only been disappointed in one area. If you like the Pope -and let's face he is a pretty popular guy- then you will like this book. Much of the wit and common sense that make John Paul II a favorite even among Protestants come through in his writings of which these readings are a sample. My only complaint is that there are 120 rather than 365 or 366. I would like to have had breakfast every day with the Pope rather than being shorted. I am sure there was sufficient material to fill a larger book. Maybe they are saving it for another repast.

If you want to go into the HM industry
Read this book! It's awesome. It gives an inside look at certain hotels, resorts, and restaurants. It's easy to follow and understand. So, if you're a HM major, I suggest you pick up a copy of this book today.

The "BestEver" Intro Book for a Overview of Hospitality!
I have been teaching the college lever intro course for well over 20 years. I have used many text and supplemented same. John's book is succinct, well written and dosen't bore you with trivia. Students thinking about a career in hospitality are interested in finding out all they can in a short period of time what the hospitality industry has to offer. Walker's book, I have used as Department Chair at two colleges, is still the best book on the market. John quickly exposes the unsuspecting student
to a array of opportunities that many of them never thought that they could get to via a career in the hospitality industry. The stero typical notion of HRIM Majors being "Burger Flippers" is quickly dispelled when John's book is used along with supplemental material demonstrating further connections to many facets of the service industry.

I thank John Walker many times over for his diligence in keeping consistent the material with regular updates. Other books are good, but John's is the best. Afer more than 44 times of teaching this class, I will stick with John's text. It is an sperb read for those who are either beginning a career or who may be searching for a place to start. It also ties in nicely with other courses that often capture a readers interest to continue on and seek out more information. It is a great recruitment tool if used well.

Great introduction to the group
The Nature Company's Guide to sharks and rays is a well written introduction to this group of truly wonderful creatures. It is not the best book, but if you have an interest it should be in your library. It will be especially useful to the teen reader or marine naturalist/hobbyist. The photography and illustrations are beautiful and informative. The write ups on individual species, while not all inclusive to any particular group or geographic area are great. They cover some little known but fascinating animals. My only complaint is that it's a little TO visual, it tends to rely on the graphic to make points over the text and is a little short on newer science. But this may be a plus for the new student of marine biology. If you or an friend has an interest in fishes in general or elasmobranchs in particular you want this book.

Excellent book for divers and anyone interested in sharks.
What an excellent, well organized reference source for anyone interested in sharks, and especially for scuba divers looking for a good identification book.

Of all the shark books I've reviewed, this one tops my list and is recommended to readers of my web site.

Incredible book, a MUST for anyone interested in the sea
We bought this book as a Christmas gift for our 12 year old daughter who is fascinated with sharks. What a gem!!! We keep it on the coffee table now as a reference book. Every time an undersea show comes on, someone grabs the book to look up whatever they discuss. This book is full of great information and incredible photographs. Anyone interested in the ocean MUST get this book. We are all certified scuba divers and it is especially valuable to us for identifications, habitats and habits of sharks and rays, and general information which we need to know when siting one of these marvelous creatures!!

Could Be Better
Over the last 20 years (or so) I've sent corrective notes to Leslie Halliwell and the subsequent editor, John Walker. For the premiere film encyclopedia, the Filmgoers Companion still has lots of errors, missing information for supposedly complete filmographies, and many many unlisted film stars, especially from the "transition period" to talkies (Anita Page, etc.). Personally, I think Walker was a very bad choice; he doesn't seem to be "into" the encyclopedic format of this valuable resource.

The Filmgoer's Companion.
I would say that this is certainly the flimgoer's encyclepidea to all things related to movies and the people involved in creating them. As far as knowlage about films goes. I would say this is impressive and is recommended to any serious film buffs out there.

New edition.
If you need a new edition of this work, try Halliwell's Who's Who in the Movies.
