As a teacher, this book is a great way to start discussions of difference and sensitivity with my class. A great love story for any age!

I read this to my 4 and 7 year olds. They thoroughly enjoyed it. It made them laugh, but it also has a great message. Illustrations are cute too.

The moral of the story offers a genuine message about unconditional love. My third grade class was delighted to have read it and they enjoyed it very much.

Crocodile's masterpiece is a great book about FANTASY and what it can do to you. Can someone have more fantasies with less ? This is also a book about art, being smart and phylosophy. Buy it, you'll never regret it ! It IS a MASTERPIECE !

Frog and The Bird Song is an adorable tale for children about the about the transient yet beautiful nature of life.

As my daughter comments "it makes me feel both happy and sad at the same time." From an adult perspective, I stand in awe at Max Velthuijs's ability to convey the most adult of concepts in such an innocent and simple way.

This book is great for kids who like bedtime stories. It is well written, and youngsters will enjoy the friendly animal characters featured on the pages.

This is a wonderful book with great colorful illustrations. When a stranger sets up camp at the end of town, Duck and Pig automatically assume that because he's a rat, the stranger must be sneaky and lazy and a bad person. Only Frog takes the time to actually get to know Rat and form his own opinion. Frog not only discovers what a friendly, interesting, and helpful Rat he is, but gains a new friend. The story is just long enough for reading at bedtime, keeps your attention without being too preachy, yet teaches morals on many different levels. I think this is a wonderful book for teaching tolerance for people different from you, as well as how not to be rude like Pig. I definitely recommend it!

When winter comes, frog finds that he is ill-adapted to the cold. Frog's friends, seeing his difficulty, rally around him, and help him through his time of troubles.

I liked this book, the illustrations are well done and quite humorous, and the storyline is entertaining. I would have hoped for a little more educational value for this book, but my first-grader loves it. The words push him a little, which is good, and the fact he enjoys it so much shows him just how much fun reading is. By the way, he selected this book as his prize for a reading trial at school, he liked it that much.
