What are Friends For?
I just finished the book today and I loved it. I thought If you Only Knew and Please, Please, Please were really good, too. I didn't like not that I care, though. Basically the whole friendship series is good

AMAZING!
I own all of the books in the series and I love them all butthis is my favorite! My old favorite character was Zoe but now I likeOlivia. She is just a normal girl. Not popular. Just an average 7th grader with crushes, worries, problems, friends and all that stuff. Over all its more than a 5 star book, I would give it 6 stars!

Is Olivia Being True To Herself?
Olivia has always had strong ethics and values but when Morgan decides that they are best friends, she is not always true to herself.Rachel Vail has created another masterpeice in addition to the well read "If You Only Knew","Please,Please,Please" and "Not That I Care".This book will keep you in suspense as you anxiously await to hear how she works things out with Morgan,CJ,Zoe,Lou and many other people.

Instant Calm
Reading this book to my 4-year old daughter instantly resonated with both of us. We pick it up now whenever we need to reflect on a hard day. I highly recommend this title.

Does your preschooler get *A*N*G*R*Y*?
We found this book at the library not knowing what it was about, but I was drawn to the pictures and short text and of course the silly word "Bombaloo". Reading it the first time was like a breakthrough in helping me discuss the feelings of being mad and out of control with my 3 yr old twin boys. They often fight with each other and "lose it" over the silliest of things.

The story is about a little girl who is usually happy and tolerates her little brother's interference with her play. However, sometimes she gets REALLY mad at him and turns into "Bombaloo". Bombaloo does mean things and yells and expresses her anger by trashing her room (where she has been previously sent). Eventually, the tantrum settles down and "Katie" is allowed to come out, after which her mother acknowledges her feelings of anger. And to finish with a happy ending, she works together with her toddler-age brother to build a castle together. (HA!)

Short of a video camera, this book is great for "showing" the play by play events of a tantrum to children. It is perfect for the sibling relationship. And I love the fact that while the mother does understand that Katie is angry, she still gives a "time out" (although the book realistically depicts what usually happens during the cool down time). My guys are a little scared of the "monster" faces that introduce Bombaloo, but they love to go back to different pages and review and verbally reenact the pictures. I highly recommend it for tantrum prone siblings especially, but also for any child who likes to talk about pictures in books as a means of understanding a situation.

toddler temperment
The author has captured with humor and insight the emotional ups and downs of children preschool age. It's a wonderful book, easy for young children to relate to and the illustrations add to it by reflecting the many moods of a toddler. Young children can relate to this book and find it reassuring to know that sometimes you get angry and that mom or dad will still love you and help you deal with those feelings. It's a great addition to your library

A totally touching story, that I can releate to
This book was incredible. I throughly enjoyed it. I also read ' Wonder', which I must say is good, but this book is so wonderful. It touched my heart. The main character reminds me of my good friend, except that her friends aren't as mean to her as Molly's. I really enjoyed this, and I think every teenage girl can totally relate to feeling like the odd one.

It was a real eye-opener
this book really opened my eyes. Rachel Vail yet again captures the exact feelings of a teenage girl. The main character, Molly, is growing up and starting to learn how to deal with more serious problems like friends, boys, parents, and life in general. The ending is sad, as Molly's best friend lets her down but she grows stronger from this let down. All teenage girls can relate with Molly and what she goes through.

Completely sums up what I feel and felt when I was that age.
Ever After was absolutely captivating. I loved it. I could and can relate to everything that was described in the book. It was so on key to what a young teenage girl feels about her friends, family, boys and her all-around life. It was a great book and I would love to have a truthful and loving friend like Grace.

Couldn't take my eyes off the book!!
This is a very, very cool book! It's a book any girl who's suddenly boy-crazy can relate to. I can relate to it a lot! I've suddenly found some guys in my school a bit more attractive. I'm a seventh grader, like Zoe, and I know what it's like to be in her shoes. But, I thought that Zoe should've gotten Tommy, but oh well. Just like how Rachel Vail said, "I discovered that having a best friend meant making some sacrafices." That's exactly what Zoe did. She gave up Tommy so that she and CJ can keep their friendship. This just so proves that friendship can be more important love. You'll be expecting my letter from me soon, Rachel!

If only you knew.......what this book was like!
Awesome relatible book. It talks about real life! Zoe begins to feel the need for privacy and something of her own after she spent the night at CJ's house. She plans at how to find a best friend! She has a crush on Tommy and so does CJ. Who does he like? What will she do? She wants to do anything for CJ! Pick this book up and read it! Find out about real family problems! you gotta get it!

Other books to read by Rachel Vail: Please,Please,Please & Not That I Care

nothing can describe the greatness of this book.
i loved this book. it was amazingly realistic, and i totally realate to zoe, the lead. i think that she is incredibly mature and knows what she's doing. rachel vail has pulled off a classic. i've read this book maybe 6 times in one year. if that doesn't convince someone, what will?

This happened to me - and I got through it with this book!
When I first read this book, I was a struggling fifth grader trying to fit in with her friends, but her best friend hated her and seemed to go off with the cool group, giggling and laughing and ignoring me. Then came the fact that our narrator, Jessica, faces: gets to know some of the girls. I took this advice and got to know three girls I thought I'd never want to know. It absolutely worked, and today I'm a happy sixth grader waiting for the next thing to happen!

Absolutely Great!
I have read this book when i was in grade six, and have loved it until this very day! (grade 9) I have never been so interested in a story before, I think, to me , this was the first book that opened me to a whole selection of others. I will never forget this book, I strongly recommand it to anybody, this book is absolutley geat. With understandable characters, humurous and realistic, a book every girl growing up can relate to.My enclosing sentence, I have none, it is simply marvelous.

It was the best book I ever read!
This book is a book I relate to. This book is for people that are pre-teens and up. It is a wonderful book. Will it be a big hit, I wonder. I thank her for signing my book and sitting beside me at the pizza party!

~*Fill in the Blank Series The Friendship Ring Tommy*~
Tommy is a 12 year old boy who is just entering 7th grade. Zoe, his best friend, and Tommy have been friends since elementary school. Tommy thinks of Zoe as just one of the guys. She wears long, baggy sweatshirts and, well, just looks like one of the guys. She loved to play sports with the guyts, and crack jokes on them! Tommy shows up on the bus one day to find Zoe in a tight shirt and small jeans. For once, shje actually looks like a girl. Tommy always knew Zoe, but just didnt realize how much until then.

This is the first book I've read in the Fill in the Blank Series. Rachel Vail is a tremendous author. The one thing I don't like about this seires is that the first four books were silimar to this one because they are told by different people. I guess since this is the first book I've read, I like this one the best. Tommy is a good-looking guy, and very athletic. He participates in a lot of sports ranging from soccer to football. I recommend that if you are in Middle School and like to read books like The Fill in the Blank Series, purchase this book and enjoy! Rachel Vail, if you ever reads this......continue writing these wonderful books!

Friendship ring... perfect!
If you have read any of the friendship ring books you know this is an excellent book.
Fill in the Blank is Tommy Levit's side of the story. The friendship ring books fallow the first several weeks of 7th grade; of Zoe Grandon, CJ Hurley, Morgan, Olivia, and now Tommy. These book's reflect the true meanings of friendship, love, truth, and understanding. Honestly, I felt these books were the real thing, they expressed all the emotions that happen to girls and boys during the seventh grade!

Yet, this is the first book from Tommy's point of view, he shares a true enlighting side. Without this book, the series would be at a loss. If you want to read a book that will stay with you for the rest of you life, read Fill in the Blank! All read the rest of the friendship ring! This was an all time favorite book of my whole classroom.

Awesome!!
I think this book is awesome but
why doesnt't Rachel Vail write
anymore Friendship Ring books?
Disappointing...

I Loved this book.Morgan is just like me.She has the same feelings and thoughts.I think that anyone around 11-13 would love this book.It was sooooo cool!I have also read what are friends for and that was great too. They are the coolest books and I hope that Rachel Vail comes out with some more-by the way do any of you know that #5 is coming out,it's called Popularity conest.

This is THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER EVER READ!
This book is amazing. One of the best qualities in this book is that you really get the feeling of what the characters are experiencing! I recommend this book to EVERYONE! I can really relate to Morgan!

Great for girls from 5th through 8th grades!
Morgan is trying to get back at her friend for leaving her but at the same time she is facing family problems. I loved this book and would recommend it to girls from 5th through 8th grades. I read the whole series (except for "what are friends for" which hasn't been printed yet)and all the other girls in my class have started to read them.I am in fourth grade and even though it is geared for older girls I still loved it just as much. I hope these books get more popular and I can't wait until the next one comes out!

Whats going on?
Vail is by far my favorite author. What went wrong with this book? Its very well written but I the whole time Zoe is tense and completely changed from her old character. I loved the fun, careless Zoe who wore baggy shirts and attracted Tommy. Now it seems she'll do whatever it takes to make CJ or Tommy or Morgan happy, and I think this character is shallow. The whole book was worrying. I still think it is worth reading, though, to see what is going on with all the friends. But don't expect this book to be your favorite out of the friendship ring.

Zoe isn't a puppet!
If you want the old Zoe back then think of it this way; at least this book is realistic. No one keeps the same personality for their entire life, some people have little twirks in it by the end and some people are completely contrasting. I think that Zoe is just confused about herself (like many people are) and she DOES want to go back to her old self. Even in the first book she was acting kind of weird because she had decided to have a best friend, CJ. Zoe is just fine.

You Won't Be Able To Put It Down!
This book is very capturing and if you enjoyed the other Friendship Ring books, especially Zoe, you will adore this book. Zoe's got a new personality, and see what happens with Tommy. Its the Class President Election! I rate this 5 stars and I reccomend it to all readers. :)(:

AwEsOmE!
I really liked this book cause i luv ballet! i take ballet 3 days a week almost like C.J. (the main gurlee in the book). (she takes it 4 days a week)in this book she is like really good at ballet but she wants to be like a regular person and be able to play soccer and hang with her friends. but her mom wants her to be some kind of great dancer (just like me and myself) she's even more presured because she just like dumped her best friend for another best friend but doesn't want to hurt her feelings. so like.... yeah.

Not what you expect
OKay, so you're a nervouse about buying this book? Rigth. Don't be. To tell you the truth I don't usally like reading books in a series like this because they seem to loose a certain flair. To me they all turn into the same he said she said story line. Not the case with the friendship ring. I think the way Rachel Vail Writes a different book for every charicters point of veiw of the same events is great. Two Friendship rings way way up! And read the rest of her series too k?They ALL rock.

Great!
I really liked Please, Please, Please! Rachel Vail is a greatauthor. This book was very realistic; about a girl who having troubleliving up to her mother's expectations. Anyone can relate to CJ, a ballet maniac, who misses being a regular kid. Ms. Vail really understands how us girls feel! Also, it has some good ballet information in it, too. Take note, all you dancers out there!

It was ok.......
I thought that this book was good, but i was a little confused. I didn't really understand the end. The book just ended in one big blur for me.

Taking any dare
Welcome to Abigail's funny, tough, disturbing summer at camp nashaquitsa.Abigail brags to her bunkmates that she'll never say no to a dare,so the games begin.kiss a boy.go off the divingboard.Towards the end of the summer she gets the hardest dare to unbelieveable to say.As to her friends at the bunk get separated."i came to camp to learn courage" Abagial writes to her mother. But did she learn courage or honesty?

"Rachel Vail stars at the dream come to true book where daring and courage collide"Yuli reviews

"how does she do it? Once again a wonderful and enjoyable book.A terrific book with an unpopular girl at home becomeing a popular and daring gal"yulemister

"Abigail puts up with death, courage ang dares in this outstanding book"yuloooo

"Great charecters,humor and toughness."ApplingYuli

Complex and haunting - a winner!
This book packs more emotion and realism than books twice or even ten times its length! Abby's struggle to reinvent herself is a universal experience to which boys and girls can relate. When confronted with expulsion from the camp, Abby's cry that she is "not the kind of person who does these things" contains the voices of all children who ever lamented a bad choice with irreversible consequences. That would just about cover every single child I've ever known (including myself). I'm an adult and I cried when I read this book. The picnic scene between Abby, her mother and Jake unlocked all those tears I tried to hold back during all those traumatic camp experiences in early adolescence. Simple yet profound, this complex and haunting novel deserves a wider audience than it's received. To get a glimpse inside the 11-year-old mind (as well as your own), I heartily recommend this novel to girls, boys, moms, dads and teachers alike. Vail is brilliant, and you don't want to miss this triumph!
