Glimmer Train's got game
Glimmer Train features up and coming talented writers, and boy have they have one in Daniel Wallace. What a great writer. The folks at the Train have the ability to spot talent, so look for these authors elsewhere for other good reads. This is the new crop of the biggies. Especially Wallace. A++

Close Encounter of the Wright Kind
This is a fabulous book for any F>L>W> collecter. It has many black and white photos which add a nostalgic feel to the book. This is the first book of many I own about Wright to show the beautiful Gertrude and Rose Pauson House. It burned to the ground. I only wish he'd put more in the book, since he did a story for a magazine about the home. This is a Must Have!!!

Who Published This Book? It is AWFUL!!!
I follow Michael Upchurch's reviews in the Seattle papers and so I expected that his novel would be well-written and interesting. I could not be more surprised at how amateurish his effort is. I wonder how he found a publisher?

A silly pretentious piece of tripe. Avoid at all costs
A silly pretentious piece of tripe. He writes like he's trying to be a contender when the reality is he writes like he reviews books and can't change hats.

great idea, but needs some touching up
Not a bad idea for a novel. Touches on such subjects as "doppelgangers," "how well do you know yourself/the ones you love," and I think that it would have been a little better if there had been a little less description on EVERY little detail in the novel. But it was a good idea, and worth a try.
