beautiful and informative
i think this book would be a great resource for someone that is just beginnnig to hear about the plight of the manatees and would like to know more. lots of basic information and even some special, individual manatee stories.

this book was interesting to me, and i read it all in about 10-20 minutes, but i am otherwise attached to the manatees and already had an interest in them. it may not be the best choice for leisurely reading, but if it's info you're looking for then this is a wonderful choice.

my personal favorite aspect of this book are the beautiful pencil drawings throughout. they are most definitely the most adorable manatees i have ever seen drawn, and a pleasure to look at.
