This book gives a brief history of the dresses. The illustrations are quite good. He actually manages to capture Diana very well in his presentation. If you want to see the dresses that were at the Charity Auction this is definately the one to get. The book is printed on high quality paper so you are sure to enjoy this one for a long time.

I first came in contact with this book in a city 800 miles away from home, I purchased it right away. I am looking for more books, and would like to know if there is a catalogue, which I could choose from.

This is an excellent book with 1 doll and 31 famous dresses drawn by Tom Tierney. A perfect reminder of just how beautiful Princess Diana was, and her likeness and poise have been perfectly captured.

This book was wonderful! It has in it:the tsar and tsaritsa,wedding clothes,coronation costumes,matching fur-trimmed outfits,the tsar and tsaritsa again (older),traditional Russian clothes,an opera gown,traveling clothes,their 5 children,court costumes for the latter,traveling clothes for the girls,and two strange-looking attendants. The best was the girls. I agree with a fellow reviewer of this book that Olga and Marie were blonds. All in all,this a great book. Buy it,by all means,BUY IT!!!!!!!!!

This was a beautifully drawn and colored book and had excellent colors and selections!It was fun to cut out to!!I recommend this book to any one who likes the Romanovs or OTMA!!

This was a very good paper doll book. I reccomend it.It includes the tsar and tsaritsa at two different ages,their children,Olga,Tatiana(I like her best),Marie,and Anastasia,and hemophilia-stricken Alexei,as well as two attendants.There is only one problem:Olga and Marie were blonds,NOT brunettes.However these are fun and my sister and I fight over Alexandra!Do not give these to little children.If you cut them out,I have found that the book cover makes a good house for them to live in!

This book is full of excellent costumes to fit every ocasion, and use. Balls, walks in the park, traveling, court presentations; "George and Jane" are prepared for it all. The dolls have been great fun and very useful for everything from period dioramas to costume ideas. Even the undergarments on the dolls are apropriate for the period. Certainly my favorite of the Tierney's I own.

Being a sucker for everything of the Regency period, I bought Tom Tierney's FASHIONS OF THE REGENCY PERIOD PAPER DOLLS with the hope that it can acquaint me with the odd-named clothing items at the time. I was not disappointed.

In the book we are introduced to George, a young lord who is a fastidious dresser, and his intended, Jane, both of whom display a variety of dazzling outfits for different occasions. These paper dolls are not just for kids-they are wonderful for anyone who, like me, has a hard time visualizing what a Carrick coat or sleeves "edged with swansdown" actually look like.

Are you interested in knowing what Piccadils are? Or what is the proper attire for an audience at Regency court? Get a copy of this book and you'll find out!

These paperdolls are definately great gift material, and not just for children. I'm very interested in costume and these illustrations are wonderful. He gives accurate color representations of the periods and well as a delightful narrative!! A great learning tool for school-aged children, it illustrates the fashions of various periods in history. Tom Tierney has a large selection of different eras in history from Eygptian times to the present. Also good for collectors of various memorabilia, with Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, and Princess Diana, etc. featured.

I never fully appreciated coloring books until I grew old enough and garnered enough patience to color detailed works like these. I draw as well, but there is something to be said about simply filling in someone else's work. It's very relaxing. Colored pencils work great as do super-fine tipped markers (Pentel). I would not use crayons, as the points aren't small enough to get at everything in these drawings, but they might be good for backgrounds.

My daughter loves this book, and so do I! It is a very lovely and fun way to be artistic!

This is a perfect book for anyone that enjoys Victorian fashions. The dresses have alot of small details, so I used colored pencils, wich worked perfect. Most of the dresses tell what kind of dress it is and the year it came out. So I enjoyed coloring and learning about the dresses.

If you collect paper dolls, or just like them, I suggest you snatch this one up. It's one of the newest additions to my collection, and is already one of my favorite of the Tierney paper doll families. The entire family comes in swimsuits: grandparents Walter and JoAnn; Walter's sons Patrick and Brad; JoAnn's children Scott and Shannon; Patrick's smiling wife Kathy; their absolutely darling children--Bridget has Shirley Temple curls, Deirdre has a fashionable bob-cut, and Brandon has his uncle's good looks. They have fashionable costumes for all occasions: shopping, winter outings, and, of course, Shannon's afternoon wedding! On the last plate is Shannon's beautiful wedding dress. Georgeous dress, in the 30's fashion. I won't spoil it though--you have to see it for yourself! A must-buy!

I thought the paper dolls showed the unique clothing of that time period, I am a avid collector of paper dolls and i am glad i had a chance to add this to my collection. I have also bought other Tom Tierney paper doll which were exqisite as well

ancient egyptian fashions by tom tierney is a great book. in this book you will see what old kingdom pharaoh's and their wifes dressed in, as well as princess's, scribes, painter's, egyptian couples of rank, dancer's, and women. you will also see middle kingdom pharaoh's and queen's, men and women, maidservant's from the court, dancer's and slaves. you will also see new kingdom pharaoh's including hatshepsut the female pharaoh, you will see queen's, noble couples, priest's, soldier's, court musicians, musicians, and a princess and a slave. you will also see gods like osiris, thoth,anubis, and amun. you will see the hair styles of ancient egypt as well. this is a great book on ancient egyptian fashions.

This is a coloring book, whose illustrations are based on representations of the Ancient Egyptian people as seen on various temples, paintings and artifacts. Images presented herein show the fashions of Old, Middle and New Kingdoms. An entertaining booklet for children of all ages.

You may want to buy two sets, one for use, and one to keep. Tom has a way of capturing the essence of a personality in his dolls. These are no exception. These are produced on high quality paper and you will be proud to keep these for many years to come. They aren't made like the dolls that we used to play with as children, the paper is much more sturdy.

This product may well become a collector's item some day.

Another first-rate paper doll book from Tierney, this time of the first family. All of the clothes are marvelous, but nothing says "oderint dum metuant" quite like stack-heeled cowboy boots with a tux.

tHE ARTISTRY IN THIS IS GREAT!Miss Hayward is perfectly captured in a very beautiful doll.Doris Day and especially Audery Hepburn
are perfectly drawn.Miss Reynolds and Jane Russell are outstanding, with Jane in the killer Red dress from Gentlemen prefere Blondes.Where's Marilyn is my only complaint.But each inclusion here is great.

I loved this book - these are truly the most glamorous movie stars of the 1950s & I love having this in my collection.

i actually found this at a book store for $3 and i thought of buying it, but i bought another book instead. this is a great book for anybody who likes Paper Dolls or the Kennedy's. you can outfit Jack and Jackie on their inagural ball or the way they looked on that fateful Friday in Dallas.
