My Favorite Book!
This book captivates a sense of innocence and honesty that is palpable on each page. Mable Lee Barby wrote the book I always wanted to read about the district that as a child I wandered and wondered endlessly. Mable is buried between "Jonce" and "Kate" overlooking the town. Cripple Creek has mostly disappeared from what I knew. There are no more "old timers" sitting on chairs in front of screen doors of dusty old shops holding so many individual memories of the characters that made Cripple Creek such an special place. The wheel house is almost gone from the surrounding hills but there is a spiritual core of a history that will never die.

Frank Waters did a wonderful job with his two books and there have been others but when I see Bennett St. or even pass the front steps of the old stone building of Colorado College I think of Mable Lee Barbee. In this book she left a record of her and others lives that will never be equaled. There is a sweet fragrance!

Opens a window into the past
This is a brilliant novel which engages the reader fully. The plot twists and turns as if this were a work of fiction rather than a biography. The characters are vivid, unique and unforgettable ... and they were real people. Ms. Barbee Lee was a keen observer and her descriptions are fascinating. Most of all, I liked how she tells us interesting gossip about some of the powerful people involved in the Cripple Creek gold rush and then, explains how things turned out and why. Some of these explanations needed enough time to pass in order to be told. While reading this page-turner, I felt like I was watching the events unfold through a window. I have recommended it to friends just because it is a really good book. The fact that it is true and will give the reader more insight into the past and into Colorado's mining history is just a bonus.

Fabulous first hand account of Cripple Creek
For people who love to read about history they will especially enjoy this book. Rather than being a boring historical account of events that occurred during the Cripple Creek gold rush this book is a first hand experience of a young girl who actually grew up in Cripple Creek during the gold rush. It is filled with lots of tid-bits about what life was actually like back then - food they ate, clothes they wore ect. as opposed to a bunch of historical facts. A good read if you're interested in what life was like in Cripple Creek.

Giving Love A Memory
Received my book promptly and in excellent condition from Laurie Meade. It is a wonderful little book containing the artwork of
Tom Sierak and is a treasure to own.

Excellent - Great baby shower gift - recipients love it!
A friend gave me this book as a gift. I absolutely love it. It is not just a book for mothers and daughters, the "cutsie" & frilly things in life, but for anyone who has children or grandchildren.

I have 2 boys, 4 and 6, and we have found craft ideas in this book to do together. I also got a craft idea out of this book to do in my son's kindergarten class, went over great with 25 students!

The pictures and phrases are so heartwarming. I have given this book for baby showers, it goes over well with everyone there asking where I had gotten it. One momma-to-be pulled me aside later in private and sincerely thanked me. She told me that of her 3 showers, this book was the most appreciated & personal gift that she had recieved.

I think if you are considering this book, you will be happy with it. While buying one for yourself, remember to purchase extras for Mother's Day, Grandparent's Day, birthdays and baby showers. Enjoy!!

Great Gift Book, Featuring Paintings by S. Thomas Sierak
Giving Love A Memory (ISBN: 1565076591), contains 80 pages of treasured moments and ideas for creating a family legacy of love. It is a great git book for young couples, newlyweds, and family members in general.

It features over 20 paintings by American artist, Tom Sierak, who is known for his warm and touching portraits of life in America today.

I highly recommend this book as a gift, or a collectible memory to be treasured for a lifetime. In fact, autographed copies are available, but only directly from the artist, whose work can be found on the web.

Excellent
An excellent book by Kryon , the angelic energy channeled by Lee Carrol.

A story, a parabole. Michael Thomas finds himself at a crossroad and embarques onto a mythical journey where he meets seven angels of the colors of the chakras, many trials and tribulations , tears and joys. A parable of the transformation from 3-d human to human angel and the test and triumphs on the path. Lovely.

Excellent!
A powerful book. I found myself shifting as I read this book in a span of several hours. The story, so appropriate for our current time, is uplifting, thought-provoking, and touching.

Loved the book !
For those committed to the path of enlightenment, this book is essential. It contains much needed guidance for the path -- in the form of a well written, exciting parable. I very highly recommend it.

sharply written
In Deja 'Nam Lee Henschel Jr writing is crisp - he details his main character's struggle with dealing with the after effects of Vietnam, and trying to teach his son about his time there.

Henschel gives the reader the knowledge of the difficulty of not just living through a war, but living through a life after surviving a war.

An engrossing read.

A Great Read!
I really enjoyed this book. Not only is it a glimpse into a world I know nothing of (war, particularly the Vietnam War and all its oddities) but the story flows and the characters are believeable -- even loveable. The relationships between the main character and those around him are excellently drawn and described, making this a "hard to put down" novel!

INtegrative medicine- isn't about time?
Dr. Eisenberg is one of the poineers of the Integartive medicine in US ( which is a fussion between the conventional and alternative therapies). Western medicine has achieved things that seemed imposible 1-2 centuries ago, but it seems to be stuck with its overly rationalistic approach toward disease...is the body functioning depending from the mind? Can attitude affect one's well- being? Could ther e be somthing that we still do not know about human physiology? Western science is just entering the realm of mind/body medicine( neuroscience), while some nations (like Chinese) have millenia long history of practicing and perfecting those methods of treatment....so why not learn to use those methods? Why not integrate them into conventional western medicine? Partly because the public and the medical proffessionals are not aware of all those options, and also because there is still some stigma in medical society about the alternative practices. Dr. Eisengberg's book disspels part of that stigma in a very easy to read, livelly and plesant style...

A pilgrimage for new solutions for Western medicine
David Eisenberg, MD, embarked upon a pilgrimage under the auspices of Harvard to China to see if ancient medical alternatives hold new promise for Western medicine. His entrepreneurial approach is admirable and opens new possibilities for the West that have been already embraced by hundreds of millions of Chinese in some cases for many centuries. The shift in interest to Oriental medicine in the quest for new alternatives commands attention. The most critical asset for Western minds viewing Oriental medicine would seem to be an open mind. Yes, the West has made great medical strides but we don't have all the answers. Why should Western bias pre-empt potentially viable solutions that have attained credence through the tests of time and strength of following elsewhere? The Afterword in this edition suggests that Americans by the tens of millions are searching for new options, especially when patients face chronic pain thwarted by Western approaches. I congratulate Dr. Eisenberg for his creative approach and imagination and hope that appropriate testing protocol will help validate those remedies that have the greatest potential in the U.S. and elsewhere. The potential upside benefit for the quality of life of millions should drive progress on this frontier emerging in the West.

Boring and Important
Are TCP/IP protocols and services fun topics? No. This is not a "fun" book. But, if you need to know how an IP protocol works, this is a great source. Davies and Lee cover the critical protocols in deeply and understandabley.

A great update
The original book for Windows 2000 was a great look at the underlying TCP/IP protocols. None of the how to set it up or manage it - just a no nonsense look at the underlying protocols. This approach is continued in this useful update.

Well worth the price!

Reviewing Prison Planet
WOW! Can you say fantastic? I read this story twice and never found a dull page in the entire book. Most sci-fi gets boring from technical terms I don't understand but even the science in this novel was explained in easy enough terms for me to grasp. I'm not saying they weren't complicated ideas, I'm saying Thomas Lee Howell has a definite way with words. The story is action packed without being weak on storyline and the adventure took me right to Astral East. I watch the sky now, more than ever for UFOs and hope to read Prison Planet two when it comes out. I am retired from the Air Force and loved the flying sequences. I kept dodging and leaning as the descriptve air battles unfolded. I gave several copies to friends who gave several copies to others. We are starting a Prison Planet fan club in our area. This book should be a movie. The military libraries are ordering their shipment within a week. I like the lead character Yarthgo because of his love for his female counterpart. He is a great soldier but exhibits a warm heart at the same time. The martial arts sequences are realistic and being an enthusiast; I know what he describes is accurate down to the smallest detail. Read it and I think you'll agree that Thomas Lee Howell is on to something good. I wish I could write like that. Unfortunately, I will have to be an avid fan instead. Do you know where we can write to Mr.Howell to congratulate him on a job well done? I rate his story in with Roddenberry, Bradbury, Asimov, and the greats of our time.

Prison Planet Review
This book is great! I loved the characters who seemed almost human except for their strange quirks. The story was so exciting I couldn't leave the book for five minutes without having to go back and read more. It's a real cliffhanger with appeal and suspense. My favorite character is Zale. She is a strong female role model and goes unmatched in self defense and weapons. Her heartfelt love for Zandar got to me a few times when they described how they felt for each other. Some Earthlings could learn a thing or two from the heros of Astral East. I kept looking at the sky expecting alien ships to scream into the area and thought I was part of the story a couple of times. The flying scenes where Thomas Howell desribed the aerial battles had me jumping with anticipation. I recommend this novel to everyone male and female alike who likes a good story. The scientific details of the experiments sound plausible without being impossible. I think there is a rising star in the sci-fi field and it's Thomas Lee Howell. Buy this book! You won't be disappointed! I gave four of them away for Christmas and have two more to give as Birthday presents. Order it today and see what the new generation of science fiction is all about. This book would make a terrific animated movie. I can't wait for the sequel. Look out Lucas and Speilberg, you have a fellow writer making his mark. Thanks Charity Phillips Keller

The best
Of all the many books I have read on Bruce Lee I think this biography is far and away the best. The previous reviewer reflected my thought exactly, that the author, Bruce Thomas, is "respectful but not caught up in hero worship". I would add that this is the only Bruce Lee book I have read that manages to walk that line. Bruce Thomas clearly has a personality and spirituality that is mature enough to have captured and integrated the essence of Bruce Lee. The biography is well-researched and detailed but this is more than a biography...it is a great book.

Wonderful Treatment of A Uniquely Talented Man
When one comes across a biography purporting to be about the late, great Bruce Lee, one must ask oneself: "why is the author writing a book on this man?". If you conclude that he has something to gain, say, by revising a history of which he was a part, then you should probably steer clear of such a book. Thankfully, the author Bruce Thomas was not a part of Bruce Lee's life and so he has no vested interest in rewriting this now-legendary past. Rather, in his book, Thomas tells us a little about each important phase of Lee's life: his boyhood in Hong Kong, streetfightin' teenage years, emigration to Seattle, development of his evolving art and philosophy of Jeet Kune Do, struggles breaking into the film business, and eventual mass recognition and appeal as an international celebrity. The book also chronicles Lee's last days, shedding light on his recent out of character behavior (drug abuse, adultery) with brief but insightful speculation regarding what could have killed him. Unlike other books, in Fighting Spirit, Thomas is very respectful of Bruce's memory, yet he does not get caught up in hero worship. The facts are presented as is, with the implicit assumption that the reader is intelligent enough to make what he or she will of them without any embellishment whatsoever on the author's part. This is, to my mind, the best biography in publication on Bruce Lee.

Buy this book!...
Very detailed, very insightful, most interesting of all the books on Bruce Lee's life. A must-read for anyone who wants to know (or know more) about Bruce Lee.

The first chapter alone is worth the money.
The first chapter of this book gives a history of radio design with schematics. The cmos portion gives a good coverage of RF components, smith charts, CMOS inductors, Bandwidth estimation techniques etc. More an RF issues book than a cmos layout book with almost all layout examples being single components. This is an excellent single issue book focused on Radio design specifically CMOS radio design. Those looking for a book focused on CMOS design should buy this book in addition to another.

Excellent introduction to CMOS RF Design
Possibly the most well-written book on CMOS design I have ever read. Relaxed, readable style and an emphasis on core ideas and rule-of-thumb design rules, makes this an extremely useful practical guide, as well as a great introduction to a complex topic. Some excellent advanced material on oscillator design too. I particularly liked the first and last chapters giving a history of radio design - very interesting background. I think the best compliment I can give this book is that I found it difficult to put down - for a circuits textbook, that is truly an incredible achievement!

The best book I ever read on Electronic
You can find here a fine description of last RF design knowhow, with answers to questions I'd like to have before. Thank you Mister LEE!!!

Heartfelt story - A keeper for the personal library
A wonderful story that really brings home the meaning of why we are here, and the search to find happiness. This book really helped me reassess the relationships and experiences in my life and to be grateful for the opportunities they have presented.

Easy to read, but full of messages.

The most comprehensive book on the process of enlightenment
I have read all of the books written by Kryon and Lee Carroll and have found that this one book summarizes everything I have ever read on the topics of spiritual growth and enlightenment. It is a book I give freely to people who cross my path because I think it offers the purest message on God and the meaning of life on this planet. Kryon goes, step-by-step, through the process we all need to take to find our true sense of Joy on this planet. It is though-provoking, funny, and incredibly uplifting. It shows that everything we do, that everything we experience has value in the eyes of God and the Universe. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is seeking to find their own sense of the Truth.

This book sums it all up..leaves no unanswered questions.
I found this audio book tape excellent. I have read many new age books and this one is easy and understandable. I said to a friend, this book explains everything you want to say and don't know how to. It is the total sum to my belief in the way and why we are here. It is CLARITY. A must read !
