This book is really helpful if you're just starting out in Respiratory Therapy, the illusrations are great. The book is easy to read and understand. Great reference book. There are charts and quick references you can either cut out of the book or photo copy and have as a handy pocket guide.

If you buy this book you will have great overview of PFTs, respiratory physiology, anatomy, bloog gases, hemodynamics, ekg and other areas of cardiopulmonary care. All color throughout. This book is great for any medical or healthcare workers (especially early yrs medical students and respiratory practitioners).

Although my 2 year old adores trains, I resisted introducing him to the Thomas series of merchandise, books, and videos because I've heard it can be an expensive addiction. I also was turned off by the one Thomas video I saw because I dislike the creepy rolling eyes in the traditional films. However, I saw found this book in a used book store and decided to get it. The text is not so excessive that it would bore a toddler, but is a nice graduation up from simple rhyming books. It doesn't have a "plot," but is a great preparation for longer stories.

Each character is introduced with photos from the Shining Time Station video. When they eyes aren't rolling around manaically, I can handle it (!). My 2 year old loves this book and I've read it countless times.

My only gripe with the book is that the section on the freight cars ("troublesome trucks" in other books) does not have an accompanying photo that makes it clear who is being described. A close up of a single car would have been better. Also, because several of the trains are the same color, it can be hard for a toddler to distinguish them, but that's not a problem with the book. It does create the opportunity to ask a child to identify the numbers on the side of the different trains.

This book is a great stand-alone Thomas book for any toddler who loves trains.

CRIMINAL EVIDENCE is a well written textbook that describes the many laws governing different types of evidence. Whether it be fingerprints, photographs or other documents, this book covers it all. It teaches you the laws of Search and Seizure and how the Exclusionary Rule (Fruits of the Poisonous Tree Doctrine/Derivative Evidence Rule) comes about when illegally obtained evidence is presented in court. This book also explains vehicle stops, arrest, and search warrant requirements.

This is the story of Artaban, a seeker of Truth. He is the other wiseman who sought the 'great king'foretold in ancient script and heralded by the 'star'. On his way to meet the three wisemen, he is delayed. This sets him on a quest ins search of the King. It will lead him to many places and experiences. This book with its beautiful word pictures reminds us once again the importance of seeking Truth wherever we find it. It adds new meaning to the story of Christmas.

It is one of my best book that I have had for all my life. It has a clear english and also I can make good comments on the examples given in the book.

This book is a must have for anyone interested in Terry's Texas Rangers (8th Texas Cavalry). It contains three rare first person accounts of the Ranger's activities during the Civil War including the diary of Ephraim Dodd who was unjustly hung as a spy by Federal troops. There are also several photos and an excellent introduction by Thomas Cutrer. I highly recommend it.

My three-year old son is an avid Thomas fan and this book so closely mimics the videos that sometimes I can hardly tear him away from the book! It is a great "learn to read" book for preschoolers. Even my 16-month old daughter easily recognizes the characters in the books from those that are in the videos. My son also likes the fact that there are several short stories in this book (great for bedtime! ) For any die-hard Thomas fan this book is a keeper!

This is a wonderful set for children who enjoy Thomas the Tank Engine, as seen on Shining Time Station. Each book; except Catch Me Catch Me, which is for the beginning reader, complete with cut out word cards; contains several short stories about the trains on the island of Sodor. Trouble for Thomas contains stories mainly about Thomas, but the others feature his friends and co-workers, too: Edward, Percy, James, Gordon, Diesel, etc. Full of photographic illustrations from the television show, this is a great way to get them interested in books, as well. In fact, Catch Me Catch Me is for the child who is starting to read already: plenty of illustrations and repetition of words, which doesn`t hurt when reading aloud, either. If this were still available, it would be a terrific gift.

I read this book when I was in the Fourth grade. You are probablly wondering why such a young girl grabbed ahold of this wonderful book. Well Terry Thomas is my Step Father. Once I read this book it showed me that love really does exist and some people take it for granted. I have listened to Terry tell me the story of him and Nancy many times. Everytime I hear it my heart aches. I hope when people read this book they understand life can get a lot worse. I definantly think this book should come back to print!

I read this book in 1983. A friend of mine loaned it to me when I
was going through a very trying time in my life. I was trying to make a very important decision after 10 miserable years of marriage. Even though I was a christian, I thought that divorce was the only option left. I was wrong. This book brought me back to focus on the love I still felt for my husband. It was this true story of two people who were devoted to live the way they believed. With honor.
This heart wrenching true story saved my marriage. I can say in
all honesty, if anyone doubts the power of how words can change
things, then they should read this book. It makes you think about
just how precious life is.
My husband and I will celebrate 30 years of marriage, and part of that success is due to Terry Thomas, who was courageous enough
to write about is pain and loss.
I hope that this book will be brought back into print.
I have owned several copies but, I have given them away to others, who needed it, as I did once.I would like to own a copy to keep in my library. Please let me know if one is available.

I read this book after it was first published in the '70's. It left an impression on me which I have never forgotten of such love and devotion of two people - not only to each other, but to God and their families. Everytime I drive through Tifton, Ga., I think of the crash that night in a driving rainstorm and my heart aches for them and what might have been. This is the most tender love story I have ever read. I have misplaced my book and feel I need to read it again. Hopefully, Amazon.com can find me another copy.

You can always count on Thomas for your kids to enjoy. His stories are almost always a lesson, but fun in the process. I only wish that there were more tapes and story combinations available. I still do prefer to read to my son, but he also loves to just listen to the story by itself while playing. I hope they come out with more soon.

My son loves Thomas the Tank Engine and this book, with the cassette, helps him with his pronunciation of the words that he is having trouble saying. I wish that there were more then 4 books on tape with Thomas.
