The book is a valuable guide to how humans can live, work, and play in forest ecosystems in a way that does not destroy forests. The authors have compiled a wide range of articles most of which were originally published by the Ecoforestry Institute in their Journal of Ecoforestry. The articles lay the philosophical base upon which ecoforestry is premised.
