A birder's guide to southeastern arizona
Taylor's updated version is an essential tool for anyone who is not familiar with s.e. arizona, and extremely helpful for those who are. It contains detailed descriptions of birding areas, maps, species to expect at different times of the year, and more. Rick takes you right to the hard-to-find Arizona specialties, as well as all the rest, and does it in an enjoyable manner. This book is fun to read even after leaving Arizona. You will not be disappointed with this one!

Where, what and when. THE book for birding SE Arizona!
This is a great resource for planning and executing a birding expedition to southeast Arizona. Excellent maps, detailed species accounts, and helpful directions and resource listings. This book tells you what specialties to look for at specific locations and when they are most likely to be found there. A great guide for birding southeast Arizona, from roadside birding to backcountry hiking. I especially appreciate the tear out maps of trails and inside cover maps of locations and ecoregions.

Practical, useful, down to earth
This is an excellent book for anyone looking for practical information on marketing research. Lots of case studies that illustrate. COmprehensive in that it covers the topics in marketing research well, but organized and presented in a simple, easy to read format. Well-structured. More practical, less conceptual or theoretical... as it's an "applied approach."

A Good Way to Focus on the Gospels for a Year
I wanted to spend a year with just the Gospels, rather than the larger New Testament or the even larger Bible, so I picked up a copy of this book. I have been very pleased. The selection for each day is taken from a harmony of the Gospels (and the entire harmony list is given for reference in the back of the book), so as the year progresses, you move quite thoroughly through the life and ministry of Jesus. Daily readings are accompanied by an explanatory text and an inspirational text. Just a few minutes reading each day gets through it, so it's not really much of a time investment. The translation is easy to read, but corresponds very well to more traditional translations. The print is a decent size (I read mine in a rather dimly-lit church) and the binding is holding the pages in. A word to Catholics considering this book: this book is published by Tyndale, a Protestant publisher, but I haven't found anything in the commentaries that is either anti-Catholic or significantly against Church doctrine. In fact, the only item I have come across so far is a little reference to Jesus' brothers and sisters, which is definitely a Protestant concept, but a rather minor one. I am enjoying this book a lot and am glad I bought it.

Zero stars was not an option
Perhaps Mr. Taylor should take a few writing courses after he "survives" yet another "near death experience." A previous reviewer said it best. He is no Depak Chopra. I would suggest reading something with some substance by an author who is not only trust worthy, but educated. "Autobiography of a Yogi" is a good place to start. At least this "Master" was never vain or felt it necessary to drive a red Mercedes called Love.

Remarkable book !!
I found myself completely absorbed in Nigels very honest and human journey of the soul. Along they way I could relate to alot of the circumstance and it gave me the unique opportunatey to travel with him and learn.
A truly inspiring and honest book which is refreshingly light and easy to read.

The challenges he faced are real to us all and the inspiration he offers with Sai Baba is nothing short of a miracle.

I look forward to his next book.

Initiation Into Miracles : Footsteps in the Ashes of the Div
Nigel Taylor's energy truly eminates from his book. It is a wonderful and thought provoking writing. If you aren't interested in probing deeper into your "beliefs", don't read this one. It's been a while since an author's story and sharing "wowed" me..this book did. The book is very much like Nigel - honest - no apologies for who he is - real. I highly recommend it as a great read! Namaste~

PHONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The heroic James Carl Taylor of Harrison, Arkansas actually served in the U.S. Navy from April 1969 until April 1973 as a mechanic. His only award was the National Defense Sevice Medal and NO he never went to Vietnam nor was he ever a SEAL. Don't waste your time or money on a wannabe when there are several books written by true veterans of Vietnam.
