The natural history of the mind is a wonderful book answers every queston you ever wanted to know about the mind, but was afraid to ask. I recomend it to everyone and their dog!

i pickeup up a copy of this book at a used book store after hearing about it on a chat room and was i suproised. its was a fasating tale, and it make the think about what was inportant to me.

This very well-researched book (260 sources!) is a major eye opener. It will either help you unearth some amazing facts or just offend you depending on how religious you are. The writer discusses sexuality in Europe from the Middle ages to 1950 quite frankly. Did you know that monogamy wasn't a normal way of life in Europe originally until the Church "invented" it? Do you know how different social systems can patrism and matrism create? Read the book and you'll be a much better-informed person.
