a masterpiece for the beginner to the artisan
This book is a culinary tour de force that features a variety of tastes that will whet anyone's pallet! A must read as well as a must use. I highly recommend this book to anyone whose interest reach beyond the den of their house. Enjoy-I did!

Love this cookbook!
I really enjoyed this cookbook and all of its stories. I've tried a couple of the recipes (including the turkey for Thanksgiving) and they were as easy as promised. I'm glad I bought it and now I'm going to buy some for gifts.

Great cooking and a great "read!"
Great recipes and wonderful stories about Nick Grippo's experiences in Hollywood catering for celebrities. He answers the questions I'd ask, such as what did he make, who did he make it for, and what was the experience REALLY like. The book is fun to read and I received it as a gift recently. The photos of the food are just beautiful, the candid shots with the stars are fun and informal and there is not a stuffy tone to the book, which is why I like it. It was also quite candid and revealing -almost as if Nick is "Everyman" in an apron. The layout was most unusual. It's quite a beautiful and deliscious book and gave me a few insights into Hollywood, along with a lot of laughs and a few tears when i read it..

Action-packed teen novel
I have read this book. It's got action, excitement, and exotic locations. Move over Charlie's Angels, the Spy Girls are right on your tail. These girls can make James Bond proud. There should be more books of the series and more books of this type. Major props to the writer of the series. Keep up the good work.

Im just going o review the facts
I LOVED THIS BOOK! Maybe I should explain my self. To make along story short, I read a book a day. I know your thinking "WHATA BUNCH OF FLUFF! " well, I read this book in a half a day.the cover of the book looks like a peice of childish nonsense, but never juge a book by its cover. these girls are are pretty darn clever to come up with such an intersting book.READ IT!

great and exciting
This book (and the rest of the series) is outstanding! I read the whole thing in one single day. I couldn't put it done. It's ation filled throughout the whole book! I love the adventures the Spy Girls go on. This book is one of my favorites.

Snug

Snuggly fun for the very young!
This endearing and exuberant book is perfect for the read-aloud crowd. As a parent of a toddler, I can empathize with mama bear's frustrations and enduring patience; my son revels in Snug's unquenchable curiosity, imagination, and passion for living. As a former preschool teacher, I can see how this book would lend itself well to dramatic and fun classroom readings. It also quietly reaffirms the bond between a mother and her child. The illustrations are charming, bold and leaping with enthusiasm; their textural quality fills them with kid-appeal.

A heartwarming tale about a bear and his mom.
My granddaughter loves Snug. A little actress, she acts out Snug's part and does his lines whenever they fit into the conversation. For instance, when her mom calls her for dinner, the little dear says, with a very sweet expression: "I'd rather eat beetles!" It's also the kind of story a tired mom can relate to on a busy, frustrating day.

My son loves Snug for its humor, love and adventure!
Our three year old needs at least one reading of Snug each day. He identifies with the bear cub's mischief and usually ends up in a rumbly tickle fest with Mom or Dad at the end of the story. He even wants to talk about real bears and how they spend their days. It's a great story for little naturalists in training!

Unfinished Business

Author: Elizabeth Lucas Taylor
Amazon base price: $29.90

Midwest Book Review - full bodied prose, sexy intrigue
With this first book, Elizabeth Lucas-Taylor has crafted a winner from first page to last. Dubbed romantic intrigue by the author, it was that and much more. The characters were well-developed, the technical aspect of the story realistic, and her writing full bodied.

Lindsay Mayer is insecure, plump, and maybe just a little frumpish around the edges. Her marriage to the irresistably sexy Griffin is unraveling. He's been troubled lately, avoiding her, and staying gone from home for increasing periods of time. What is her college professor hubby up to? Despite the love and chemistry they've always shared, Lindsay fears he may have found another woman. When she discovers him in his bathrobe, sharing a ritzy hotel room with an exotic beauty, her worst fear is confirmed.

The proof of Griffin's infidelity almost kills her. When she doesn't hear from him in weeks, she feels her life is over. Enter a savvy long time friend, Chloe Brennan, recently assigned to a new position in Washington, DC. Chloe has the contacts and the means of turning her friend's life around, if only Lindsay will cooperate for once. The shattered Lindsay has nothing left to lose. With Griffin gone, her life is over anyway, so she puts herself in Chloe's hands.

Segue five years into the future. Lindsay has now been successfully transformed into Honor Danforth, technical wunderkind of the British MI5.
Expert in foreign languages and dialects, master of computer wizardry, tireless tracker of elusive foreign agents. she blocks all thoughts of Griffin from her heart and mind. She's shed excess weight, dyed and straightened her curly hair, changed her eye color and adopted a British accent to reflect her new life. The pain of Griffin's loss is blunted. She's moved on to another life, but not to another man. No man could ever be enough after Griffin.

When she's assigned to protect the British Embassy in Washington DC, everything she ever believed about her marriage is rocked with one revelation after another. Griffin appears in tuxedoed splendor, hobnobbing with British and American dignitaries with suave familiarity. And then she learns he's CIA - one of the best - assigned to her team, in league to ferret out one of the worst terrorists the West has ever known.

Griffin believes his wife died five years before. He's never come to grips with the guilt and sorrow. For certain he has avoided replacing her because Lindsay can never be replaced. His immediate sexual attraction to the cool and very British Honor Danforth is a mystery, but one he's bent on solving.

If ever any male and female belonged together in the biblical sense, it's Griffin and Lindsay/Honor. But each plays their own game as agent until the old familiar chemistry takes over. Amidst that inevitable sexual explosion, somehow they must stay on their toes and thwart the plans of Embassy moles and ruthless terrorists.

Oh what a fun trip it was helping these two resolve their Unfinished Business! I recommend it to those who enjoy action and intrigue, but only for adults and mature adolescents due to strong sexual content.

Long Live The Queen!
Elizabeth Taylor is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful women ever. This collection of photographs focuses on her life with Richard Burton, when she was at the height of her beauty. Bozzacchi's photos are a mixture of famous pictures (such as the one on the cover) as well as some that are more rarely seen. My favorite picture is the one of Elizabeth holding the pearls over her eyes...her beauty is truly amazing!
Also recommended is "My Love Affair With Jewelry" by Elizabeth Taylor herself...the two books make for a definitive collection of pictures of Elizabeth.

Excellent reference book for the student of World War Two
This work contains key names, battles, and machinery of the second world war. It gives the reader more than just "the basics".
