My Favorite
I have read hundreds of Christian books and this is by far my favorite. It has humor and romance, but everytime I read this book I find myself soul searching. I have several copies that I loan to my friends to enjoy and I have not found anybody who can put this book down unfinished.

Onion Ring Theology Fan
This is a wonderful fiction work which explores the faith journey of a college student and those of his mentors. It is a book worth having as a part of your permanent library. It is NOT a childrens' book, but one more suited to college-age and adults. An enjoyable read!

Outstanding Onion Ring
After reading this book, I feel that it has been misrepresented in its age classification. I believe it to be best suited for adults, especially college-aged persons. It is a book that communicates one person's faith search. The reader feels as if he/she is present on the character's journey toward discovery of his faith issues. It is a thought provoking work that utilizes humor, science, economics, life situations, etc. to portray a solid truth. I highly recommend this fictional story and anxiously anticipate a sequel.

Touched by God: Testimonies of Christian Power

Ask and you shall receive!
What an amazing book! The first two events that happened in this book shows us that the saying ask and you shall receive is very true when you ask it of the Lord.
The author, Charles Muller gives an account of a young boy not knowing anything about the Lord God. Grew up finding him in a miraculas way.
Each story you read in this book "Touched by God" is a blessing in its self.
If I could give this book a higher rating then 5 stars I would, for the author did a wonderful job bringing all of these stories together.
In reading this book you will find things will seem brighter and tomorrow will be a better day.God Conquers All!

God can Touch you too! just trust Him.
The author Charles Muller will take you through the stories of seven different people. One of them being himself.

Each story will grab you in a different way.It will touch your heart and soul. Some very sad but the author shows the reader how brave these people are, how much they trust in the Lord day by day.

He tells of a young boy who was wise beyond his years and how his wisdom lay in his love for God. This little boy's faith alone was an inspiration to me.

The story that Charles Muller tells of himself took my breath away. His words alone made me feel his pain, his emptiness, his longing for a God that he thought was no longer there!
He tells of a story that happened at four in the morning that brought him to say."God,I Love You".

This story, " Touched by God" is a must read. It gave me an inward piece that is hard to explain. Almost as though God touched me as I read it!.

A visual treat for all music lovers
Beginning with 16th C Spanish vihuelas, the authors take a pictorial tour of the rich history of the acoustic guitar. In addition to the unbelievable number of pictures (especially of early guitars), the authors also describe innovations by many modern, independent luthiers such as Thomas Humphrey. Additionally, the reader is exposed to fine works by British luthiers. My only minor reservation with any book like this is the "scope/page" ratio...can 500 years of history be covered in 158 pages? The authors do a remarkable job covering the key historical events in the evolution of the guitar. Interested readers will find additional info in the rich bibliography and discography(!). All and all, a marvelous book for anyone interested in the history and evolution of musical instruments...both to read and admire the fine pictures.

The Antichrist King - Juan Carlos

Dr. Taylor hits the nail on the head
Provides a lot of background information on the antichrist King Juan Carlos. Though this book does not have any "satanic pictures" of Juan Carlos you can get that in the Nov.97 issue of Vanity Fair where Carlos is dressed in a black Prince of Darkness robe and red cape with a german sheppard. Look out! King Juan Carlos' day of revealing draws nearer, only now will he continue to work from behind the scenes until that day of infamy arrives. Repent now or face the Great Tribulation under the "iron fist" of King Juan Carlos as his song of the day will be "No More Mr. Nice Guy" as the price for food and to stay alive will be your soul.

Orde Wingate, Warrior
I happened upon this novel at the library last year, and it was a pleasant surprise. It is an account of Wingate from his service in colonial Palestine to his death in the CIB Theater. We see him working with the Haganah, setting up ambushes of Arab terrorists, much to the hair-pulling rage of his superiors; then to his liberation of Ethiopia, leading a few hundred poorly-armed and -trained locals but with the moral and charismatic power of Selassie (an excellent portrayal) at is side; then to the Chindits and their operations in Burma. Wingate proves to be an irresistable subject: insubordinate, stubborn, reckless, fearless, and egomaniacal, yet tender to his wife and wanting nothing more than to get this damn WWII finished so he can return to fight for Israel's independence. A fascinating man; a brilliant novel.

Informative and fun Southern history
This book focuses on domestic life in the South during the period of European settlement. It makes clear that many of the white farm families would not have survived had they not had the cooperation and instruction in practical living techniques generously provided by their native neighbors. I was amused at how many of the "Southern" traditions of food and cooking that I grew up with are really Native American traditions that were adopted by the settlers. Gray is an entertaining writer who has gathered many facts that may appear trivial, but which help to develop a detailed picture of what life was like on the frontier when the frontier was east of Atlanta.
