An Amazing Tale
What I wouldn't do to get this book published again. One of my ongoing personal tasks is visiting used book stores and grabbing every copy of this book I can find and loaning them out - I first read it 5 years ago, found it at some youth hostel in europe and couldn't put it down in my travels - I kept looking forward to train rides where I could just read non-stop!

If you're stateside - write down the author's name and keep it in your wallet - start searching used bookstores near you - good luck, and keep on sharing books!

A thouroughly enjoyable plot, a one sitting read.
Ever have that opprotunity to take a long read along on a vacation... The Green King is a story of a man and his dream, a dream to build a nation where there once was none. In his quest he faces Nazis and beuraucrats, two great evils and defies the first but not the latter. A reclusive Multi-millionaire/billionaire it brings to mind Howard Hughes eccentric legacy and crosses it with Broffman ambition. A book strikingly similar to a Archer or Clancy in it's ability to make the character and the idea come to life. If you see this book snatch it up. It may be a long read, but one of the most enjoyable and enticing of any I have ever had. A true treasure.

A great thriller of survival and ambition
Rescued from a concentration camp, the young survivor Reb Michael Klimrod works his way to America, where along the way, he takes vengeance on his former Nazi persecutors, and continues his education of survival in the brutal conditions of the Amazon.

His rise from rags to riches is a credible panorama of sense, perseverance and courage. While Sulitzer too commonly weighs his books with sexual content, its appearance here finds perfect harmony in the physical and spiritual power of wealth among its several characters, as a vital component of Klimrod's sheer will.

A human book as well, with Klimrod's struggle with his emotions, his ambitions, his beliefs and his dreams, all are quite human in their embrace.

This book satisfies on a number of levels. An excellent read, a great translation, and a considerable testimonial of human effort. 5 stars is only an understatement - a wonderful book.

The best financial fiction book I have ever read.
I wanted to name my son Franz Cimballi after reading this book. "The dancer" as Sulitzer calls him is one of the most ingenious guys you'll ever meet. Sulitzer levels with Harold Robins in the Adventurers with this book.

Very exciting
This was a very exciting book for people like money, adventure and entrepeneurship.

Great book, mesmerising, brings the world at your feet
I haven't read the first part (money) but even though I am in engineering, I felt like going into bussiness. This novel puts you in an atmosphere of reality about the bussiness world and demistifies the bussiness environment. This book is a melting pot of a bussiness course, a story of passion and revenge with a suspence till the end about who's pulling the strings. It's one of the best books I've read in the Fiction category.

Drug dealer wrote books
The writer who wrote this book was arrested today (12/21/2000), with the son fo former presidente of French, Francois Miterrand, by traffic of guns. He must be like the writer that like to "live the experiences" before write the book. Jail for him!

Suspense, adventure, and eye-opening !!!
This is the first book I ever read by Sulitzer (in its original french), and I now own all his novels. Trust me : they are all as good ! Using real events, he throws in a strong character, a great deal of adventure and suspense, world travel, and a little romance... In Cartel, for example, you learn about money laundering and you realize that (unfortunately) the Mafia is such a well-oiled organization that it will never be defeated...

extremely accurate look at drug billions laundering
The step by step life of a financial genius who gets involved in the drug money laundering on a worldwide scale. His passion for his gift will ruin his life. The step by step explainations of the wheeling and dealing, written to be easily understood by the neophyte is a great look at international finance and the weaknesses of a system we overtrust. All the books of this author are the best books I ever read.I am reading again for the 13th time, and I'll read it again,it has helped me a great deal in my personnal life.
