My grand-daughter loves this book. The story and pictures were entertaining for her when she was one and she enjoys reading and acting out the story in the book now that she is 2-1/2. "Pip" is the ladybird (ladybug) who builds himself a bicycle and goes on an adventurous ride through the countryside and then back home again. Maps tracing his journey are on the inside front and back covers. Every page has a full illustration with some text. You can use the book in many ways at the different ages, as they get older there is more for them to enjoy. I am now looking for another copy of the book, since the one we have has been worn out!
