This Calendar is Great...
The Witches Spells are at times, hilarious.
I'd heard most of them, as a child growing up in New Orleans, La.
A lot of the Spells, have probably been passed down to the reader as an 'old wives' tale'.
I read my daily Spell over Coffee, and always get a smile to take with me to my Workday.

The 2002 Herbal Almanac is probably a must for any witch who grows an herbal garden. I received a copy of this book last year, and found myself referencing it many times, as I worked on my garden this year. While it has been an experimental year for me, this book does contain many solid articles. This year's book features articles from Elizabeth Barrette, Eileen Holland, Sara Greer and many others. The topics covered range from composting to herbal honeys and honey candied herbs (a sweet treat article), herbal care for expecting moms and kids and handling business stress with flower essences. There are many other good articles in here, too numerous to mention, as well as moon charts, eclectic herb plants and seed sources, zone charts, even potpourri recipes. A good source of information and ideas, and a great gift for that herbalist at Yule.

I was new to herbs when I bought this, but now I am hooked! There are soooo many things that you can use in here, this really is essential for anyone who has interest in anything to do with herbs.

I seem to find one every day, but Proimos is my new favorite picture book author. His illustrations are crazily
cartoonish...his stories are full of silly details...but the secret messages are almost Buddhist...Here Sam has been loud all his life and his parents are proud; they never shush him. Then Sam visits his aunt in the city and she and everyone else shush him at everyturn. But on the last day of her visit, she gets it & says, "I don't seem to be able to keep the sadness or gladness inside of me." And Sam tells her it is foolish to try. Wonderful! A story for all ages to take to heart.

I LIKE THIS BOOK VERY MUCH BECAUSE THE PICTURE IS VERY BEAUTIFUL. WHEN SAM WAS HAPPY, SAM LAUGHED SO LOUDLY AND WHEN SAM WAS SAD HE CRIED SO LOUDLY. IT IS A VERY GOOD BOOK.

I loved this book and it's message. Being a new parent I have so many things that I want to teach my child and this book covers one of them. I want my child to be proud of who he is and never change just to fit in and this book gets the message across in a fun way. The pictures are hillarious!

James Haley's "Sam Houston" is a study into a man's soul. Using new resources he has humanized the man and the legend. Mr. Haley has done the best possible job of getting into the head of Sam Houston and explaining his life long habits without falling into the easy trap of revisionism. As a matter of fact in my mind he is a champion of the facts, using common sense logic when faced with the incompleteness of facts that is often found in history. He often has to navigate through the propaganda of the day and connect the dots with the straight edge of reality. This is well demonstrated by the facts presented about the biggest Sam Houston mystery of all, why his marriage with Miss Eliza Allen failed. You will have to read the book to find the answers.
Easy to read for the casual reader, well noted for the serous researcher. James Haley's "Sam Houston" is a great read.

Sam Houston is a figure who aroused great passions beginning in his own day and continuing to the present. Jim Haley's well written biography, supported by fifteen years of research in original archives not available (or used) by past researchers, joins the ranks of major works on this interesting figure. The book should join the library of anyone interested in the Texas Revolution and its heroes. With impressive scholarship, the book is well written and enjoyable to read. A major achievement, worth the wait.

This is one of the most awesome books I have ever read! I didn't want to put it down! This is a wonderful biography for a history buff or just a person curious in learning about the life of one of this nation's greatest leaders! Great buy!

This was the only book that I could find which was dedicated to designing web based applications in Visual J++. It is written in a concise, yet easy to understand way with lots of good examples. It is not a beginners book but there are lots of Visual J++ books around suitable for beginners. An excellent source of information. It even comes with Visual J++ version 1.0 on CD. Just what I needed

The best J++ book I have ever seen. Not for beginer

I enjoyed this book for personal reasons, but aside from that, I thought the author's perspective gave the stories depth to many of the impersonal aspects of the war. He is a great story teller, and adds that personal detail that makes them come to life. I recommend this book to young and old - in fact to anyone who wants to learn about this time period through the eyes of a young surgeon who served on five fronts and lived to tell about it.

An able and highly enjoyable job of getting the facts out with the tone of our shared WW-II experiences. Am impressed with the precision of writing. Moore has done all of us a huge favor, and I, for one, am most grateful. Brig. General Robert A. Duffy, USAF (Ret.)

i love the precious moments bible. it is so cute. it has wonderfully illistrated pictures that go along with the bible's teachings. the age level says 4-8, but i am 13, and i still use this bible, it is a lot easier to understand! i would suggest it to any child!

I have had many bibles through the years but none have compared to this one! This bible is easy to read, easy to understand, and a pure joy to read. The comentary on the verses is beautifully blended with the art work of Precious Moments, and the full color pages of Precious moments art with scriptures is absolutely beautiful, and inspirational. i recommend it for anyone!

The best book for the money, and I have read them all! Clearly explains MP3 and other aspects of digital music. Great CD, too.

I have read several books on MP3, and this is definitely the best for beginners. It explains all aspects of finding, playing, and creating MP3 files. While it is easy, it contains enough technical information for advanced users, as well.

The included CD is worth the price of the book, and is the best suite of MP3 programs and utilities I have seen!

There is not much I can add to the other reviews. I couldn't put it down either and spent the whole day reading until my eyes gave out. Bernard F. Connors can really write. Major Call, the poetry loving desperado was an almost likable fellow, but as usual, "there was something about him." And God help the person who got in his way. A dedicated military and family man, he couldn't control his rages or his weakness for dangerous situations, fast cars, and stealing. He may very well have been the mysterious bushy haired stranger seen in the Bay Village neighborhood where Marilyn Sheppard was murdered in the 50's. Did he kill her? Read the book and decide for yourself. I went back and re-read parts of the story and studied the haunting photos. There are also documents and additonal photos in the back of the book. This is one you will want to own.

Don't miss this book! You can't go wrong--whether you like a great read or are fascinated by true crime. I'm not a crime buff by any means, but once I started Tailspin I could not put it down. Major Call is one of the most amazing characters that I have ever encountered. The author weaves meticulous research with a narrative that keeps the book moving at breakneck speed. He also cracks the 50-year-old case that inspired "The Fugitive." Spectacular!

I read this book in two sittings.The transformation of Major Call from a distinguished Air Force officer to a criminal is very hard to understand but well told.The story is compelling and grips your attention immediately.He was a very skilled criminal not to mention ruthless.His possible role in the murder of Dr.Sheppard's wife is fairly well established in this book.It would certainly leave you with a reasonable doubt if you were sitting on a jury.His penchant for living on the edge and taking risks makes Bond's 007 pale by comparison.

This is one of the most life changing books I've ever encountered. It took me on a journey through multiple dimensions of life. It begins by detailing how most of us have been indoctrinated since childhood and have lost ourselves in the process. Icke then goes on to tell us about a global conspiracy that is deliberately doing what they can to strip us of our ability to create our own lives as our unique selves. This is followed by some very grizzly, hard-to-believe negative data about what has been going on all over the world.

Then comes the good news. David goes into detail about how we create our own lives and our own experiences. This is followed by a very high level view of the world, all of existence, and the forces that are shaping the world toward a wonderful outcome. David invites us all to choose our own path and contribute to the high dimensional influences that are dramatically increasing the love in the world.

This book inspired me to immediately start operating in a new, much more relaxed, loving mode. I'm finally using information I've known for years. There is no need to wait. We can fully live our unique lives immediately. Everybody wins.

I would strongly urge anyone, particulary those who are not familiar with Icke or his work to read this book. There is no doubt that it will change everything you thought you knew about the world - and yourself. Excellent beginner Icke book, anyone can pick it up and read it and be changed for life. Definatly not as comprehensive as Ickes other books, but perfect for beginners. Icke adds some delightful humour and and some fantasic insights that will make even the most stubborn and skeptical reader think - a lot. For Icke fans, his brand of humour is revealed in greater detail in this book without the book ever losing its sense of urgency and seriousness - fantastic stuff all-round. The book is definatly a small price to pay for your freedom - you wont look at the world the same again. A must for anyone who wants to open their mind and hearts :)

A interesting Texas history lesson, this book was recommended by a local Texas historian from the Haley Library and Museum. Very enjoyable if you want more than just a history about Sam Houston, this is a Texas/Mexico history mini-lesson as well. The book tells the story of Sam Houston's life including his: Tennessee Governorship, ties to President Andrew Jackson, role as General of Armies and Malitias, tenure as President of the Republic of Texas, role as United States Senator and Governorship of the State of Texas.

Marquis James shows why he won more than one Nobel prize for historical writing. In this book he takes you through the entire life of Sam Houston, giving the reader an insight on the events of Houston's earlier life that shaped his actions in the founding of the Texas Republic. Until reading this book, I had no idea just how important Sam Houston was to the history of not just Texas, but the entire United States.

I read this book because it won the Pulitzer Prize in 1930, but it stands with any more recently written biography. Sam Houston had a fantastically interesting life, and if you haven't read a bio of him you will be amazed. I recommend this book without reservation.
