Harriet's Hair brings Smiles
An absolutly great book! The text is lyrical making it easy to read over and over again. The illustrations are colorful and fun. With each reading, your child (and you) will notice more fantastic details. The antics are zany, but Harriet's feelings are real and ones we can all relate to. This book will quickly become a family favorite!

Irresistible Children's Story!
A delightful story, complete with detail-rich, amazingly fun illustrations, makes this book a sure hit with children, and their parents. I can't wait for more releases from Ms. Stewart!

Hair-larous Locks
Every child with hair that won't behave or who has siblings that are too helpful, will delight in reading the trials put upon Harriet by her brother and sister all because of a wayward curl! The vocabulary is age appropriate and the illustrations are delightful.

Jam-Packed!
Whether you're new in sales or a seasoned veteran, this book is a treasure. The publisher had to use smaller print just to fit it all in! It's amazing how much information is here-the traditional stuff that you find in most sales books, plus a lot more. And it's all focused on helping you make the sale; the title of Part VII is You Must Close the Sale in Order to Go to the Bank. The message can't be any more clear!

Let's start at the beginning. There are three sections at the start of the book that caught my attention right away. You know there's something special going on when you see sections titled "Why You Need This Book," "Why You Will Love This Book," and "Why an Intelligent, Sophisticated Person Like You Will Appreciate a Simple Book Like This." Simple book? In the fundamental principles that are presented, yes. In the depth and strength of the material, I wouldn't call this book simple. Sales professionals will spend extra time with each section to draw out all the value for themselves. It's just that kind of a book . . . the kind of tool that can be used for reference as well as straight-on learning.

Stewart starts his substance with Position Yourself for Success presented in six chapters. The last chapter of the section is focused on closing. Part II: Develop Rapport and Build Relationships of Trust and Confidence: four chapters ending with emphasis on closing more sales. Continue through sections on pre-call planning, prospect involvement, discovery, presentations, and handling objections. Want more? A good resource section and an index complement the powerful content.

If you want to close sales, not just make sales calls, make friends with this book. Renowned sales trainer Mike Stewart has stuffed all of his seminar material into 250 pages for you to absorb and apply for higher achievement.

Every salesperson needs this book
In one form or another, every one of us is selling--ideas, services, products, maybe a combination of those three. If you want to read a book that presents, in simple language, the contemporary approach to selling, then I recommend CLOSE MORE SALES. The author: Mike Stewart, an international speaker, professional sales trainer and consultant, based in Atlanta.

Far from being an armchair advisor, Mike Stewart spent many years learning salesmanship as a professional sales person. Additionally, he works with a variety of clients, training their sales professionals.

In the preface, he laments that "Almost never are effective selling skills being taught." With this book, he addresses that problem. The book has the approval of the American Management Association, his publisher. I recommend that you get a copy. . .and close more sales.

Close More Sales!: Persuasion Skills That Boost Your Sellin
The best books are the ones that get right to the point and show you step by step what works. This book delivers. I got so many insightful new ideas that I bought copies for everyone in my sales office. At our sales meetings we discussed a different chapter each week. I like Mike Stewart's candor, too. He tells it like it really is.

A PERFECT GIFT THAT WILL ALWAYS BE ON THE TOP OF THE PILE
I FOUND THIS BOOK BRINGING ME BACK TO SOME OF THE GREATEST GOLF EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. THE UNIQUENESS OF USING ART INSTEAD OF PHOTOGRPHY IS WHAT SET THIS BOOK APPART FROM THE REST OF THE GOLF BOOKS THAT I HAVE IN MY COLLECTION. THE NARRATIVES THAT MR. One Of The Best Collectable Reference Guides Available
A "Must Have" for any serious Higgins collector. There is an almost overwhelming amount of information presented in a most organized manner. So many wonderful color photographs that I went into sensory overload. Loads of great, historical information and imagery. The only down side of the book is that the price guide is not representative of current market values but if looked at properly will still give you a good idea of how one pattern will relate to another in value. I wish other collectable genres had reference guides of this caliber.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS
This is truly a masterpiece of editing. The author has truly done an outstanding job. This is a MUST book for any serious Higgins collector as well as anyone who enjoys beautiful glass. The author is certainly to be commended for this one of a kind work.

A book as beautiful as the glass
If you want to collect Higgins glass, this book is an absolute must-have. The prices are outdated; with the recent death of Michael Higgins, I have seen pieces sell for double or triple the book's values. This is much more than a price guide, though. This book details the history of Higgins glass, their techniques, and how to identify what is and is not Higgins glass. There are several beautiful color pictures on almost every page, and I enjoy looking at them almost as much as I enjoy looking at the pieces in my collection.

IT TOOK THEM ALMOST A WEEK TO PROCESS MY ORDER. CANT WAIT TO GET THE BOOKS, I HOPE BEFORE DECEMBER 31ST, 2000. LATER

A "must have" for aspiring MCSE's
An easy to read, comprehensive set of books. Just right for supplementing Microsoft Press Training Kits. I am proud to have a 100% success rate in all of my Microsoft exams, in part because of this series of books.

Great for exam cramming
I bought this core pack and the individual IIS and TCP/IP. After taking some classes, it was the perfect tool to cram with. I did not want to go though a 500-700 page book, so 180 or so pages was perfect. I passed one test a week.

Very good, targeted recommendations
My group of friends, who had all travelled Greece in our backpacking days, benefited greatly from this book. As our trip in July 2002 progressed, we relied more and more heavily on the book. The recommendations from sites to food to hotels proved to be excellent every time. I particularly liked that the lodging and restaurant recommendations had inexpensive through expensive listings, which we used as our budget-mindedness changed during the trip. For anyone beyond backpacking and Lonely Planet, this book is a must.

most useful.
I found this book very useful. I used it mostly as a guide on a walking tour of Athens. I only had three days in Athens and wanted to see as much as possible. I spent a few hours browsing through the pertinent section and made my plan of action. Everything was as described. I also referred to it when making my hotel reservation and when looking for good restaurants. I stayed at the Hotel Philippos near the Acropolis - a great little place. Eating I went through great troubles one night to find the Taverna Sigalas in the Monasteraki area (because of subway construction,) but it was well worth the effort. I still drool at the thought of the wonderful Greek salad I had and the very best moussaka I've ever eaten. Going to Rome this year and I plan to buy a Frommer's for Rome because I only have three days there and I know I can depend on this book.

Good Choice
As an experienced instructor, I caution use of this book by colleges who are utilizing instructors not completely familiar with the material.

There are numerous question and answer sets that are incorrect, and these incorrect answers may be passed on to the students. There are several technical descriptions which are inaccurate as well.

At this point in the game, many of the third party "Microsoft Approved Study Guides" contain technically incorrect material. Of all those I have used and reviewed however, the Course Technology series is the best currently available.

One of the top two IIS 4 books on the market!
I teach the Microsoft IIS4 class in an AATP. In the class the MOC does not give an in depth look at many of the topic areas. This book is a very good suplement to the MOC. There are some errors in the material. But over all it is highly recommended. The only book I would recommend higher then this book is the SAMS IIS4 in 14 days.

I wish I could give it more than 5 stars
I love all of Mary Stewart's early suspense novels and wish I could buy new copies of them because the battered old ones I have are 20-30 years old, yellowing, and falling apart from repeated re-readings.

I particularly loved the ones set in Greece which was a country that had always captured my imagination. This one in particular made me want to go to Greece and see Delphi and The Charioteer. Five years ago when I finally beheld The Charioteer myself and stood on the theater at Delphi and looked out over the mountains my first thoughts were of Mary Stewart. I recommend this book highly to anyone who can find a copy of it. It is well worth because it is a marvelous read as are all of Mary Stewart's earlier books.

Sadly it appears that most of her early wonderful books are out of print, and the only ones still available are mainly the later and less skillful novels - though a few of the good early ones are still available.

Look for this one. It's a winner.

Mary Stewart's Magic
I'm so glad to see some of Mary Stewart's romantic fiction reissued. As a young girl I envisioned Greece while reading My Brother Michael, as a young adult I went there and it was sublime. We read and, then, we experience. If you read to see the world, start at home with Mary Stewart and let your imaginations take you to Europe; her books will grow with you. With Madam Will you Talk in mind, (her best I think) I danced on the entrance to the Pont d'Avignon, I stood on Hadrian's Wall and thought of the Ivy Tree; Corfu did indeed boast men named Spiro, but sadly, no magic dolphin. I wish there were more of her books.

I thought that this was one of Mary Stewart's best books.
"My Brother Michael" was such a good book! It has beautiful descriptions of Greece, and the characters were so interesting. I've read almost all of Mary Stewart's books, and they all give that kind of depressed feeling. Not that they're sad (well, the Merlin Trilogy is), but her books just envelope you, and you can't stop reading them. I love her books, and I wish that she'd written more.

Excellent Book
I bought this book with the recommendations from the editor's review here. I was not disappointed. The book is very understandable and I recommend it. However, this book alone will not get you to pass the test. In addition to this, I bought: Microsoft 2K Server Resource Kit, the Microsoft XP Resource Kit and the Transcender test. I recommend them all. I used these to pass the 70-270 test. In addition to these. Make sure you have at least a cursory understanding of Active Directory and actually play with it. You will need to know some light server admin stuff & internet explorer. Just follow up on the Transcender recommended reading and you will pass.

Great Test Prep!
This book was great to prepare me for the exam for which I did pass. I also used the Transcenders to study from too. I enjoyed the book and recommend it!

Excellent Foundation for Windows XP
Read this book, grasp all of the contents, and you will have a very solid foundation on Windows XP. This book takes you through RIS, Unattended Installs, Managing disks, TCP/IP, Printing, EFS, Mobile Users, Working in a Novell Netware environment, System recovery, hardware support, shortcuts, command-line utilities and Troubleshooting to name a few. Be sure to supplement your studies with practices tests to be triple-darn sure that you'll pass the test. Good Luck!!!
