This novel is brilliantly written, with a setting and style that slowly increases it's grip on the reader until the explosive finale. Not for the faint-of-heart, and with a brilliant cast of well-rounded characters and an awesome setting in the windswept North sea, it's a shame Norman Stahl's work here isn't more well-known, or available.
