I loved this book. It really brought laughter and extreme enjoyment. This is the beginning of Patricia Wadell's gentleman's series. Don't miss this fantastic book.

This book and the authors many others are so perfect for toddlers. Simple words and pictures help explain the meaning and customs of many holidays and traditions, making it a nice way for toddlers to understand. The board book style allows for little fingers to request multiple readings. And we all know how repetition helps them learn. They make great gifts, too.

I like this retelling of the Christmas story for several reasons. One is that it retains most of the details of the Biblical text. It begins with the visit from the angel Gabriel, follows Mary on her trip to visit her cousin Elizabeth, and then goes with Mary and Joseph when they have to travel to Bethlehem, through the birth of Jesus and the visit by the Magi. The illustrations are simple, but not too cartoonish as with many Christian children's texts. Thankfully, the characters look somewhat Middle-Eastern in appearance and have darker hair and eyes. This is a nice way to introduce an accurate version of the the Christmas story without overwhelming a child.

The artwork is great and the story is accurate. Right on!

I am amazed! I have searched and searched for books that will hold my 2 and 3 year old's attention and I have finally found it!! Not only do they thoroughly enjoy the story and repeat each page I read but they also love the vivid illustrations. Quality Christian books are a rarity for the toddler age and I consider this one worth it's weight in gold. I'm buying them all!

My daughter is 15 months old and loves this book! We have been reading it just about every day since we got it when she was 4 months old. The illustrations are great and the words are very simple. I was looking for a book about Noah that was simple but informative and this is it! Try other Patricia Pingry books also, they are great!

I could sympathize with Stacey. She feels like she has nothing to share about herself. I remember feeling that way when I was at that age. I know how she feels! There are parts in this book that made me laugh, actually I laughed through almost the whole book. Ms. Giff sure knows about children and at the same time, how to add humor to it! GOOD GOING, GIFF!
