A Cautionary Book
The Dynamic Great Lakes
By Barbara Spring
Connected to the Atlantic Ocean through the St. Lawrence River, Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, Lake Ontario, and Lake Erie form the world's largest freshwater system, and account for almost 20 percent of the Earth's fresh surface water. Due to commercial fishing, the introduction of harmful exotic species, and air and water pollution, the precious ecosystem of the Great Lakes is under constant duress. In her cautionary book, environmental activist and professor Spring enthusiastically explores the Great Lakes, and clearly explains why they should be protected.
Book Sense

Recommended Reading
I would recommend this book to anyone who lives on or near the Great Lakes or to anyone interested in preserving the environment. The author taught me as much about the havoc the modern world has strewn on the natural world as she did about Superior, Huron, Michigan, Ontario, and Erie.

Description book
The five great lakes are between the boundaries of Canada and USA. The book describes the lakes, one by one with lots of details. The great lakes are the most important liquid water reserve. Each lake is different. There are ecosystems like nowhere in the world. We have to protect them. The lakes are not usually well known, so with this book, you discover a fantastic area !!

Good for the tourist or a new resident
This guide book covers all the bases, and even includes interesting historical digests of various districts in the Los Angeles area, the high desert and the low desert. The information is organized to assist tourists on short or longer visits, includes lots of "hidden" opportunities to eat, sightsee, or shop away from the beaten path, and is even helpful for a new resident to the L.A. area, who may not be sure where to start digesting this incredible city or the landscape around it. Highly recommended.

Excellent Guide to Southern California
This guide gave me all of the information I needed to have a wonderful vacation. The information was candid, and thoughtfully presented. There were many tidbits of information/ sights I would never had thought to see if it wasn't for this book. My vacation consisted of renting a car at LAX touring along the coast (stopping at places recommended in the guide) Heading down to San Diego and then returning to LAX by traveling inland and seeing Temecula etc. It was a fun filled 10 days and all I used was this guide. If you just want the basic tourist jargon, buy a Frommers guide, not a hidden one... :-)

The Complete Forager: Spring/Summer Edition

Well written and well researched
I got to see Tim and Barbara Sykes at an event in Houston a couple years ago. I was impressed with their knowledge - not only of wild edibles but also of the history and mythology about many of their favorite "weeds". I opted for the ebook rather than the printed version because of the price ... but the color photographs made it a real bargain.

Lazy days and easy elegance
Barbara Goodman-Scott was inspired by the foods visible in the markets and gardens of Long Island's east end. She uses her training as an artist and her instincts as a cook to create a collection of easy, yet flexible recipes that are sure to impress. The preparation of most recipes is, as she promised, no more exerting ..."than pouring another glass of iced tea". The dishes 'travel' well for pot luck suppers or spontaneous gatherings. The 'Asparagus Vinaigrette' and 'Roasted Red Potato Salad with Arugula and Goat Cheese' are easily prepared in advance and served at room temperature making it possible to enjoy the leisurely afternoons or spectacular sunsets of summer while enjoying gourmet-style cuisine.

And it's true.
We who anticipate each new poem by Barbara Spring celebrate the release of The Wilderness Within...a journey of the Senses and Spirit. As we are warped from the Arctic to the Galapagos and into the brain of a hummingbird, her visions become ours. But be warned: hours or weeks later if asked who you are, you may mumble something about a bat...or a whale...or a cottonwood seed.
And it's true.

The Ghost Story
This Story was not well wrighten it was Horrible every time i tried to read it i lost track! So if u do not like books that make u loose track then do not read it!

A spine-tingling story.
Recommendation:
I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in mystery books. This is a spine-tingling story full of the characters fears. Like when Angie got locked in the shed. It showed all of her fears. "Please,'' she begged. "Please open the door." She tried to keep the fear out of her voice, but she heard the waver that showed how desperate she felt. "Please," she whispered. It also makes your heart pound faster when you read the book. Like the one part when they were in the bedroom for the first time, the three stood in the doorway of the bedroom, listening. "Listen...Angie whispered." Then the music started. Not a proper, eerie tune, suitable for a haunted house. But dance music, party music. Faintly, behind and between the notes, came the sound of someone laughing. This is a very interesting book and very fun to read. Like I said, if you are interested in mystery books then this is the book you need to read.

Supensful
Spring Break is a very supensful and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I couldn't put it down. I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read mysteries!:)

I was disappointed with the content of the book.
Being a fan of Ms. Englebreit's, I was disappointed with the projects and ideas in the book. Her Companion book series are much better at inspiring one to be creative.

I liked it alot!
This craft book is filled with wonderful crafts to make and decorate. Perfect for children and any occassion, I definitely reccommned this book!
