sooooooo good
This is another book which I. read years ago and it is a keeper.I loved the main female character Fancy and her love for two brothers made me cry.Such a good love story and it just is a book you must read at least once.I plan on reading it again.Wish I could find more like this one.

Sorry the story had to end. Characters larger than life.
This is one of the best books I have ever read and re-read. I treat myself to a re-read every few years. I would love to see this made into a movie or mini-series. It is truly an epic like "Gone with the Wind".

Fabulous!
I read this book years ago and fell in love with it. I have recommended it to everyone wanting to experience all range of emotions! The characters are unforgettable! Thank you Cathy Cash-Spellman for this unforgettable story!

Superb
From the very first line, this book grabs you and it does not let go until the last page! It is a well written, historically accurate account of the events leading up to the Easter rising of 1916. In it the reader encounters actual prominent historical figures such as Michael Collins. The story involves two sisters, their love for one another, their love for their nation, and their love for the men in their lives. It is romantic, sad, funny,tragic...in a nut shell, all the things that make for great reading. I highly recommend it.

Superb
This book grabs the reader with its very first line. It is in my opinion, Spellman's best book. It is a historical drama (very accurate on the historical facts) about Ireland and it's long struggle for freedom and independance. It vividly details many of the uprisings, leading up to the Easter Rising of 1916. The reader is introduced to some of the real revolutionaries who were a part the uprising and eventual liberation of Southern Ireland. In addition, the two main characters are sisters who are very different (one is a rebel, the other a conformist) but who share a strong love for each other and their country. This book is about so many complicated issues, and yet it is entertaining and educational. I guess one could say its about the love shared between siblings and family, passionate, romantic love between men and women, and a peoples deep love for their country and hope for independence and freedom. It is one of my favorite books. I made the unfortunate mistake of lending it to a friend who lives in another state. I have not seen it since. I am currently trying my best to get it from Amazon, and I hope they come through for me.

It's a story that makes you laugh as well as cry
This story is about Ireland and some people in that country, some of the people has been alive and some are fake but the story is about reality when it comes to how we like to make our lifes wearth living. Love and hate for a country and people... It's the year 1916.... A year that ment a lot to many people and this books make those happenings very real to you as well. A story that will make U miss the people when the books is finished and a book that are one of the best written storyes I ever reed. Sorry about the spelling -but do read this book!!

Rags to riches
So Many Partings is a big family saga, stretching over three generations of an Irish family who went from rags to riches in New York.Tom Dalton was born in Ireland, the illegitimate child of the younger son of an aristocratic family and the daughter of a local tenant farmer.Upon the death of his father, Tom and his mother Mary are evicted from their cottage. The local priest advises Mary to emigrate to America to start life afresh, leaving Tom at a local monastery where he could recieve a good education.Reluctantly Mary does so and many years pass before they meet again.Mary marries a Boston merchant but keeps Toms existence a secret as her new husband would not have married her if he knew of her past. When Tom grows to manhood he too travels to the U.S. and begins a career with Diamond Jim Mulvaney,a very successful business man and local politician. Tom falls deeply in love with Diamond Jim's daughter and so begins the new dynasty of Tom's children and grandchildren--and what a big involved tale it is--a story of villians and heros, love and hate and all the things that go to make up a big, satisfying read.

This will make you laugh, cry, and every other emotion.
Keep a box of kleenex with you when you read this book, Cathy Cash Spellman is a wonderful writter and she brings you right into the lives of her people in the book, you become a part of their lives, you feel what they feel and live what they live. I have read this book 4 times and I will continue to read this book over and over again. I think there should be a sequel to this book??

Not Worth the Read
If I hadn't been on a vacation and bored I don't think I would have bothered to read this book. It looked interesting on the cover but everything inside was boring, superficial, and ridiculous. This is a totally dated piece of writing. If you want Occult read Stephen King!

My advice: Skip It

INTENSE!
Cathy Cash Spellman's "Bless The Child" is one of the best and most intense books I've ever read. I found the book about 5 or 6 years ago and have read it numerous times since. Unlike many books, this one did not lose any of it's appeal in repeated readings. The first time I read it, I was so captivated by the story and character development, that I actually dreamed about the characters several times! Cash's extensive research is obvious in her careful depictions and explanations of various schools of esoteric ideology and practices. Her characters and descriptions are well thought out and quite believable. As a child I lived through horrors similar to those young Cody is subjected to, and I found Spellman's descriptions of Cody's plight to be chillingly realistic. If you have any interest in this genre of book, you are unlikely to be disappointed with "Bless the Child"

That's what I call a Thriller !!!!
"Bless The Child" is one of the best and most well-written books I've ever read. Having always been a Stephen King's fan on the supernatural-occult kind of thriller novels, I imagined it difficul that there could be another writer that could impress me even more. This book prooved me how deeply wrong I was!!! I found the book from a friend last year, I read it 3 times, with the same and even more enthusiasm and interest each time and it was the book I was really sorry, for having to give it back. I therefore, definitely, want my own copy. Unlike many books, this one is not a book you read once and then put it away. The reader gets so captivated from all the characters and the way each one of them interferes with the plot and contributes to it, that you really have to read it many times to really enjoy it as well as understand it as much as possible to every extent. Although a novel with quite ficticious aspects, (i.e. Isis's amulet and Sechmet's stone) Cash's wanted to make a novel based on real therories and practises, from many different cultures from allover the world, spanning a big historical period. For that reason, extensive research is obvious in her careful depictions and explanations of various schools of esoteric ideology and practices. Her characters and descriptions are well built and are definitely believable. (Ellie's and Peter's characters are fine examples that prove it). This breath-taking from start-to-end novel, will definitely trigger your appetite to actually do research and learn things on some of the subjects in the thematology used by the author to create it. An interesting bibliography is provided with this book for this reason.

Entertaining beach read
This book is good for beach or pool and thats about it. It started out interestingly enough, but somewhere in the middle turned mediocre.

Very entertaining!!!
I just finished reading this. It is written really well, and I like the way she wrote the woman characters, they were all strong individuals. The story gets really intense toward the end.
