What Sex and The City fan WOULDN'T find this book fab?
My roommate brought this book home and although I myself had been skeptical to purchase it, I'm glad she did because it's so fabulous, I'm thinking about getting one for my own collection.

First of all, if you're a big fan of this hit HBO series, then you'll absolutely love this book. Each of the 4 female characters on the show are spoken about in detail by their counterparts (Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis). In addition to that, the actresses themselves have their own little bio as well as how they became involved in the show in the beginning.

In addition to the girls themselves, there's detailed pages on each characters' style (from wardrobe to home furnishings to the men they choose).

So as not to leave any SATC fanatic unfulfilled, they've even got sections devoted to the SATC men (Mr. Big, Aidan, Steve, Trey, etc.) and the actors bios that play them on the series.

Overall, the book is filled with brilliant, four-color photographs and designed with style (that reflects the show itself, nonetheless). A great stocking-stuffer for girlfriends (especially if they're an avid watcher).

A MUST HAVE FOR EVERY SATC FAN!!!
My Boyfriend bought me this Book for Crimbo because he knew what a nut I am about SATC. It is absolutely great for everyone who loves the series and the characters. Fab to flip through and drool over all that fashion and fun!

Must-Have for Any 'Sex & the City" Fan!
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've heard of 'Sex and the City', the wildly popular HBO sitcom starring Sarah Jessica Parker. When Sex and the City (SATC) premiered on HBO a few years back, it took a while for it to catch on. But once it did, there was no stopping it. SATC is one of those pop cultural phenomenons that everyone had to see coming, but no one was prepared for. Easily one of the top comedies on television, SATC follows the lives of four trendy, funny, upper class single gals in New York City as they date and sleep with what seems the entire male population of New York City. Each episode we're treated to their chat sessions, where they discuss their philosophies on dating and secrets about the men in their lives. One of the great things about SATC are the characters. Each main character is very different from the others. Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) is a journalist, who writes a sex column (called Sex and the City of course) for the New York Star. On a weekly basis she takes inspiration for the lives of herself and her friends and poses questions in her column such as: 'can there be sex without politics?' and 'can we really have it all?' Her three best friends come in the form of: Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon), an independent and somewhat cynical lawyer, but with a soft side to her too that she sometimes lets us see, Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) a promiscuous and extremely confident PR agent, and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) a rather more refined and shy woman who works at an art gallery and is always on the lookout for a husband. It could even be said that the 'fifth' main character is New York City itself. The city plays such an integral role in the show that you really feel you are there.

SEX AND THE CITY: KISS AND TELL by Amy Sohn tells the story behind the story of "Sex and the City." A complete and detailed synoposis of the first four seasons, including fashion, trends, the characters, the actors, the men, the dialogue, detailed looks at each episode and tons of photos.

A true guide to the pop culture phenomenon that is "Sex and the City." A must-have for any fan of the show. Worth every penny! Highly recommended!

CitySlipping
I felt the authors made too great of an attempt to sound savvy and "hip". After visiting some mentioned locales, I have decided not to refer to the book except in jest.

Great book, great website, great concept
The best thing about this book is that the author is just a normal guy like you and me; he doesn't have to try to sound savvy or hip. This book is like having a cool best friend take you around the city. I refer to it whenever I want to go out on the town, especially downtown.

A great resource for young tourists and denizens alike
If you're not so much interested in how to beat the lines at the Statue of Liberty, and more attuned to where you can sip Long Island Ice Teas while staring at bona fide fashion models and New York's notoriously secretive cognoscenti, this book is for you. Much more than a guide to the city's geography, it is a rare insight into the raison d'etre of the au courant. Forget Fodor's, Let's Go, and all the broad-spectrum filth. Finally, there is a book for the people who need it. Anyone can see the Statue of Liberty from miles away. Citytripping goes below the surface.

Disappointing
I read great reviews and read this book in a couple of days, but was somewhat disappointed, expecting something more...the premise was promising, but I couldn't work up much feeling for the character. Talk about self-absorbed, imagining the whole city was aghast over her column? I think not! Unerotic pointless sex scenes, over and over...let me tell you, if you want to read a good book about a single Jewish gal yearning for love and marriage, go to the library and get out "Sheila Levine Is Dead and Living in New York City". A wonderful funny touching novel about a young woman in a New York that is no more, but much better written (not to be confused with a horrible movie by the same name). "Run Catch Kiss" confirms two things, a) that men can put their you know whats in anything and its no more than a sneeze, and b) I am so very glad I'm not a young woman living in New York.

A Hilarioius & Excellent Read
This book is awesome!!! I picked a copy of it up in a Goodwill store one day when I went romping with my mom hitting the thrift stores in our area and looking for bargains. I was unsure at first, but, after I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. I have no clue why anyone would throw out a book like this!!! The interaction between the characters is hilarious and the main character- despite being semi-narcissistic and annoying at times- is endearing in that you can (or, at least, I can) totally relate to her. Amy Sohn hit the nail right on the head with this book in trying to describe what it's like being an educated young woman out looking for fun in these crazy times we call the new millennium. It can be rambling and boring at times, but, for the most part, it's a very entertaining read. I've read "Run, Catch, Kiss" several times already- it never fails to amuse me. Sohn is a very talented writer and this is a wonderful book. I recommend every woman go out and get a copy of this book- that is, as long as you can handle the frank dialogue and steamy sex scenes.

Catch the fun!
This book, although very sexually graphic at times, is quite a thrill to read and will be probably be embraced for anybody looking for a fix till the next 'Bridget Jones' Diary' book.

But 'Run Catch Kiss' has it's own rewards, in the form of a deliciously sexy narrative of Ariel Steiner, a twentysomething wannabe actress who's being cast in 'the fat girl' roles. She takes her sex escapades to the streets, cranking out a scandalous column (Her father remarks, "Your mother is thinking of getting shirts that say 'It isn't true")
in NYC's hottest weekly newspaper.

But the results aren't what she bargained for. Clever, witty and downright funny, Run Catch Kiss is a fitting title to join and...overtake the troupe of 'chick lit' books that seem to crowd the shelves these days.
