Excellent guide for parents taking their children to Israel
We used this book every day of our 2 week trip to Israel with 3 children aged 1-8. Our friends then borrowed the book for a 3 week trip with 5 children aged 6-16. The sections of the book are broken down by geography, with handy maps to assist you in setting up your schedule, whether your hotel is in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Tiberias or Eilat. The greatest benefits of the book include the phone numbers of the tourist sites as well as the hours which each location is open. The author even recommends ideal hotels and activities based on your children's ages.
This is a great book to help plan your Israel travel.
Whether you have children or not, this book will help you plan your Israel travel. It lists many attractions, tourist sites, museums, national parks, etc., including hours of operation, phone and fax numbers, and whether there is a fee. As a professional travel planner specializing in Israel travel, I highly recommend this book to all my clients, even those traveling without children!

The author needs a copy of Strunk & White
They're the authors of "The Elements of Style", for those of you who don't know. And boy, does this author need it. The writing is stiff and the plot is straight out of a combined Harlequin romance and Jean-Claude Van Damme movie.
I've read better "Dick & Jane" books.
good thriller but woefully misinterpreting Muslims and Islam
I have just finished this book and would like to add to my review of a few days ago. The book, as a thriller, is good - but having said that, I was greatly disturbed by the one sided picture of Jewish-Muslim relations. No genuine attempt is made to show that Palestinians have cause for their deep anger and resentment of Israel and that some have turned to violence to regress what they believe is a cruel occupation of their land. Instead violence is seen as a commonplace Islamic solution to all problems. The author throws in a few lines to show she knows there are 'good' Muslims but the overall impression is of a fanatical religion, bent on taking over the Jewish and Christian world - Muslims who pray as they ruthlessly prepare to slaughter both Jews and their own moderate Palestinians. The 'life is cheap' motif is so unfair and the depiction of Islam so distorted as to make this a dangerous book. More so because the plot is strong and the action swift and readers will take in subliminely the warped idea that all Palestinains are to be feared and mistrusted, especially if they are Muslims.
Interesting, entertaining and well written.
This was a very well researched, fastpaced and exciting thriller. I thought it gave a very well balanced insight into the Arab-Israeli conflict. It is interesting that the two reviewers that gave this book a low rating, did so for political reasons, saying that the book was unfair to the Palestinians. I do not wish to make this a forum for political debate, but I must say that there is NEVER a reason to make war on women and children, as one of the reviewers implies. The book is about the dangers of ALL kinds of fanaticism, regardless of where you live or what your religion is.
